Go to the position you want to test; open the console and type in getpos, copy the output and bind it to a key: bind KEY "setpos blablabla". Now, go to your flash throwing position, throw the flash and quickly tap the key you bound previously -- you'll be instantly teleported to the location set and get to experience the flash effect yourself.
