  1. 06[01:25] * Elsa goes to talk to Terrakion while he's still awake and they aren't in danger of being murdered by pokemon
  2. [01:25] <KamenWriter> Cool
  3. [01:25] <KamenWriter> Terrakion sits in the corner with his Rhyhorn
  4. [01:25] <KamenWriter> Not getting in the way or helping, just sitting around
  5. 01[01:26] <Elsa> <Did you see the new arrival?>
  6. [01:26] <KamenWriter> "Considering the redhead was nearly having a heart attack, it was difficult to miss."
  7. 01[01:28] <Elsa> <Yes, that was surprising for me as well. I wanted to ask your opinion on it all. He is from a distant time, and seems to have very different views from most Pokemon now. What do you think of the entire ordeal really?>
  8. 01[01:29] <Elsa> <With the fact that the clefairies now are basically attempting to kidnap and force other Pokemon to fight for them.>
  9. [01:31] <KamenWriter> :/ "I have no opinion. It's their prerogative."
  10. [01:32] <KamenWriter> "Clefairies are weirdos anyway. All the squishy pink ones are."
  11. 01[01:32] <Elsa> <Audinos as well?>
  12. 01[01:32] <Elsa> <Ditto goes without saying, but I always thought that audino were considered pacifists.>
  13. [01:33] <KamenWriter> "Pacifist doesn't mean sane."
  14. [01:34] <KamenWriter> "Always hiding in grass, popping out and healing things at random."
  15. 01[01:34] <Elsa> <I can agree with that, refusing to fight in the face of death is not often the most sane course of action>>
  16. [01:34] <KamenWriter> "It's weird." :I
  17. 01[01:35] <Elsa> <Do these cults often form around them though? Bringing heroes of the normal types back and such?>
  18. [01:35] <KamenWriter> He shrugs.
  19. [01:35] <KamenWriter> "Iunno."
  20. [01:36] <KamenWriter> "They're a little off-kilter. They're tuned into stuff that I don't care about."
  21. [01:36] <KamenWriter> "They must have thought this would help them."
  22. [01:37] <KamenWriter> "I know I didn't ask them to do it, and it wasn't in my brother's plan."
  23. 01[01:38] <Elsa> <Cobalion I'm assuming.>
  24. [01:39] <KamenWriter> "Hmph. Yeah."
  25. [01:39] <KamenWriter> "Maybe the plan's changed since you got me."
  26. 01[01:40] <Elsa> <Maybe, you are a big player in it.>
  27. 01[01:41] <Elsa> <With the fact that another force could be helping them do this, I'm starting to consider that those that say they are neutral are not completely so.>
  28. 01[01:41] <Elsa> <Who would really enforce that neutrality if they aren't found out?>
  29. 01[01:42] <Elsa> <I trust you and Virizion, but past that, I have no way of knowing if the words could be held as fact.>
  30. [01:43] <KamenWriter> "There are a few forces who must remain neutral. Celebi volunteered to be your guides, and so he can't interfere. The Champions can't do anything overt, and Giratina's relationship with rules is... always complicated."
  31. [01:43] <KamenWriter> "Beyond that, Those three hotheads enforce each other's neutrality."
  32. 01[01:44] <Elsa> <Groudon, the sky watcher, and the ocean dweller.>
  33. [01:44] <KamenWriter> "Yep."
  34. [01:45] <KamenWriter> "And the ones that set up this arena we're fighting in have already done their part. You won't meet them in person here."
  35. 01[01:46] <Elsa> <Who did? They must have had some wish to keep both sides on an even footing, since the god figure is obviously wanting us dead, and Giratina is not opposing him directly.>
  36. [01:47] <KamenWriter> "The dragons that set time and space in motion. Palkia sliced this area out of the earth and Dialga placed it in an area outside time."
  37. [01:48] <KamenWriter> "And while Giratina isn't opposing him directly, you can be sure he had some part to play in drafting the terms of this little game."
  38. [01:48] <KamenWriter> "Why do you think your miserable species hasn't been smote from the face of our planet?"
  39. [01:48] <KamenWriter> "Why go through all that trouble? Because someone in low places likes you."
  40. 01[01:48] <Elsa> <Well I had my doubts.>
  41. [01:49] <KamenWriter> "Someone with a LOT of experience writing labyrinthine contracts." :I
  42. 01[01:49] <Elsa> <Hrm, well this concerns me. If the lord of time set this in motion. How are the clefables doing things that Celebi can't?>
  43. [01:50] <KamenWriter> He shrugs, "Depends. How exactly did you get those eggs of yours?"
  44. 01[01:51] <Elsa> <I don't know, Celebi says he doesn't, and our champion is even more slippery than some players in this arena.>
  45. [01:51] <KamenWriter> "If your champion can find some loopholes to give you bonuses, there's no guarauntee that our side won't have access to the same loophole."
  46. 01[01:52] <Elsa> <Ah, yes, I just assumed that pulling people from different times had more of a consequence than donating eggs. If you could do that, would you ever try to give advice to someone, past or future?>
  47. [01:53] <KamenWriter> "Not sure if it works that way. No idea how it works, period."
  48. [01:53] <KamenWriter> "As far as other so-called legendaries. They're allowed to take or leave the conflict as they see fit. You convinced Mew to join you."
  49. [01:55] <KamenWriter> "I do know this; the dragons love order over anything else."
  50. [01:56] <KamenWriter> "They wouldn't give anyone the ability to mess with their precious timeline without some pretty stringent strings attached to protect the timeline."
  51. 06[01:58] * Elsa nods, <Are most of the things you know just from experience with them, or general facts that haven't changed over time. It would seem that legendary Pokemon society is much more overaching than I could have imagined.>
  52. [01:59] <KamenWriter> :I "I don't like hanging around with others much, but I know how it works."
  53. 01[02:00] <Elsa> <For example, you have the experience of all recent history to pull from. Even in solitude, meditation or study could open up a lot of paths. Most humans would go mad.>
  54. [02:00] <KamenWriter> "Mostly we keep to ourselves, unless we're social butterfrees like Virizion."
  55. [02:01] <KamenWriter> "What? You're asking what it's like to live as long as we do?"
  56. 01[02:02] <Elsa> <I can posture about what I think it would be like, but if you not mind, yes I would ask.>
  57. [02:03] <KamenWriter> He shrugs, "It doesn't feel like anything. It feels like life."
  58. 01[02:04] <Elsa> <Is there any definition to periods of life? Childhood?>
  59. [02:04] <KamenWriter> "Not really."
  60. [02:04] <KamenWriter> "I remember a time when we ran with humans more often, very early on."
  61. [02:04] <KamenWriter> "It didn't last very long."
  62. 06[02:04] * Elsa nods, <Would you wish that to return?>
  63. [02:05] <KamenWriter> "I know Cobalion would..."
  64. [02:05] <KamenWriter> "The rest of us? All we ever see is your other face."
  65. [02:05] <KamenWriter> "The face that knocks down trees and blows up mountains and pollutes rivers."
  66. [02:06] <KamenWriter> "We've cut our ties. Humans? We certainly don't need them."
  67. [02:07] <KamenWriter> "You're simply a predator that got too powerful. Balance needs to be restored to nature."
  68. [02:08] <KamenWriter> "Or the entire earth could die."
  69. 01[02:08] <Elsa> <I suppose if you can consider all of recent history just life, you can cope with another lifetime without humans. I had hoped I could convince you that life would be boring without us. If humans were to be made aware, I am sure they would attempt to change, we can't really survive if the Earth is to die underneath us.>
  70. [02:09] <KamenWriter> He scoffs
  71. [02:09] <KamenWriter> "I'm not Giratina. I don't care about excitement."
  72. [02:10] <KamenWriter> "I'm not Celebi, I don't care about art or science."
  73. [02:10] <KamenWriter> "I could let the lichen grow up over me for all of time and be happy that I never met another soul."
  74. [02:10] <KamenWriter> "That's the soul of the mountain."
  75. 01[02:11] <Elsa> <You are Sir Terrakion, guardian of the mountains and nature.>
  76. [02:11] <KamenWriter> "And you are humans, gone in the blink of an eye, and ill-mindful of what happens 100 years from now."
  77. [02:12] <KamenWriter> "If you know you won't be alive to see it, you won't care enough to do anything."
  78. [02:12] <KamenWriter> "And by the time the earth's destruction is 100 years away, it will be too late to change anything."
  79. 06[02:13] * Elsa shakes her head and motions towards Terrakion, <If there are children or friends that will survive to that time, I believe people will attempt to grant them a better life.>
  80. 01[02:13] <Elsa> <Personally I would rather leave a legacy, it wouldn't be necessary to have a source of shame for my actions against the planet.>
  81. [02:14] <KamenWriter> "That is noble, certainly."
  82. 01[02:14] <Elsa> <If humans were to kill themselves off, everything we achieved would be pointless.>
  83. [02:14] <KamenWriter> "But it won't happen for thousands of years from now."
  84. [02:15] <KamenWriter> "You really think your people will pay attention for that long?"
  85. [02:15] <KamenWriter> "Or will they focus more on their petty little lives?"
  86. 01[02:15] <Elsa> <You will still live, solid as you are now. I believe that if there was a connection between worlds it would help put things in perspective.>
  87. 01[02:16] <Elsa> <Most do not even know you all exist. I didn't. Psychics are not common, those who can communicate with Pokemon rare.>
  88. [02:16] <KamenWriter> "The humans stepped away from their connection to nature, because you chose to and now you're dealing with the consequence of that choice."
  89. 01[02:16] <Elsa> <Certainly baby sitting the irresponsible child of a race would be a chore, but might be more rewarding than killing them.>
  90. [02:17] <KamenWriter> "Hmmph."
  91. [02:17] <KamenWriter> "You sound like..."
  92. [02:17] <KamenWriter> "...Nevermind."
  93. 01[02:18] <Elsa> <I hope it's someone that you can respect, instead of someone like Celebi.>
  94. [02:18] <KamenWriter> "This is the course of action I follow, human. You may hold my body, but you can't sway my opinion."
  95. [02:18] <KamenWriter> "Humanity dies. That is the ideal ending to this."
  96. [02:19] <KamenWriter> "And once it happens, I can go back home."
  97. 01[02:19] <Elsa> <Of course. As solid as a mountain.>
  98. 01[02:19] <Elsa> <Can I ask you one last thing before I go to our defense?>
  99. 06[02:19] * Elsa is actually asking instead of beying hypothetical
  100. [02:19] <KamenWriter> "You can ask. I don't know if I'll answer."
  101. 01[02:20] <Elsa> <Will you have any regrets if you do win?>
  102. [02:20] <KamenWriter> "None."
  103. [02:21] <KamenWriter> "Goodbye human. Go defend your base."
  104. [02:21] <KamenWriter> "I want to go to sleep."
  105. 06[02:21] * Elsa stands up and nods, <Unshakable as a mountain. Good night.>
  106. 06[02:22] * Elsa heads out
  107. [02:23] <KamenWriter> So, at some point in the early morning I assume, after Maestro has disappeared, you go see Giratina?
  108. 01[02:25] <Elsa> Yes
  109. [02:25] <KamenWriter> Alright
  110. [02:25] <KamenWriter> So you head up to the mansion
  111. [02:26] <KamenWriter> The ghosts wave as you walk in. You have to fend off some good-natured pranks, as usual.
  112. 06[02:26] * Elsa responds back, attempting to drop things on them with telekinesis while they aren't paying attention
  113. [02:26] <KamenWriter> One of them holds out a hand for you to shake. However, you easily see the joy buzzer in the haunter's hand.
  114. 06[02:27] * Elsa lights her hand and fire and smiles, reaching out to shake and waiting for him
  115. [02:27] <KamenWriter> Even though the things go straight through (ghooooooosts) they respect this
  116. [02:27] <KamenWriter> D:
  117. [02:27] <KamenWriter> It pulls away
  118. [02:27] <KamenWriter> And everyone else giggles at him pussing out
  119. [02:27] <KamenWriter> 0,1hehehehehehehehehehehehehehe
  120. [02:27] <KamenWriter> And all that
  121. [02:27] <KamenWriter> Eventually you get to Giratina's study and knock.
  122. [02:28] <KamenWriter> "Come in!"
  123. 06[02:28] * Elsa heads inside
  124. [02:28] <KamenWriter> He is sitting by the fire.
  125. 01[02:28] <Elsa> <I must preface this with I do not believe I will be buying anything.>
  126. [02:28] <KamenWriter> "Oh?"
  127. [02:28] <KamenWriter> "Well, either way, sit."
  128. [02:28] <KamenWriter> "A good conversation is always welcome."
  129. [02:29] <KamenWriter> He gestures to one of the plush chairs in the room opposite him.
  130. 06[02:29] * Elsa does so, <I came by to discuss a few things. Some of more importance than others.>
  131. [02:29] <KamenWriter> As usual he's dressed impeccably, like a slick lawyer.
  132. [02:29] <KamenWriter> "I hope I can answer them."
  133. [02:30] <KamenWriter> "I won't be able to give away everything, naturally, but if I know how much you know I may be able to elaborate on some things."
  134. [02:30] <KamenWriter> "Drink?" He gestures to a decanter of red liquid, "It's wine. Sometimes humans think it's blood."
  135. 06[02:30] * Elsa still hasn't seen him in dragon form, <Arceus revealed himself to a degree to Karsten. Dead pidoves made to threaten and frighten.>
  136. [02:30] <KamenWriter> "Too many vampire novels."
  137. [02:31] <KamenWriter> (Didn't you come to the dinner where you first saw him?)
  138. 06[02:31] * Elsa considers, <Only if you don't take offense at me not finishing the cup.>
  139. [02:31] <KamenWriter> (He briefely took his dragon form then I think)
  140. 01[02:31] <Elsa> (Left before he changed)
  141. 01[02:31] <Elsa> (Went after Ivan)
  142. [02:31] <KamenWriter> (oh ok)
  143. 01[02:31] <Elsa> <I would rather keep my wits about me at all times.>
  144. [02:32] <KamenWriter> He pours you a glass, "Well, I'm not surprised. He certainly always liked to make a statement."
  145. [02:33] <KamenWriter> "Wasn't against the rules either. He's been following you around since this whole sordid business began."
  146. [02:33] <KamenWriter> "Got to keep an eye on his interests somehow."
  147. [02:33] <KamenWriter> "You beat two of his generals after all. He's got to be shaken."
  148. 01[02:34] <Elsa> <Do you know if he was the one who appeared on our train? I do recall pidoves that were not exactly Pokemon following us before our transition here.>
  149. 01[02:34] <Elsa> <And it is still odd that the enemy champion would reveal himself before our own would.>
  150. 06[02:34] * Elsa sips
  151. [02:35] <KamenWriter> "He was the birds."
  152. [02:35] <KamenWriter> "The person on the train was... well..."
  153. [02:35] <KamenWriter> "How much DO you know about the generals so far?"
  154. 01[02:36] <Elsa> <Cobalion, Terrakion, Keldeo, and Virizion. Know for a fact the three domains. I can safely assume Cobalion holds sway over the steel and is their leader.>
  155. [02:36] <KamenWriter> He sips his wine as he listens. He's sharp and sharky, naturally, but he still looks upon you with a certain friendly fondness.
  156. [02:37] <KamenWriter> "Good, good."
  157. [02:38] <KamenWriter> "Well, the person on the train was one of those four."
  158. [02:38] <KamenWriter> "Taking measure of you, before the games began."
  159. 01[02:38] <Elsa> <Cobalion I would presume then. From simply the appearances and their dispositions, I can guess they reflect their personalities to a degree.>
  160. [02:39] <KamenWriter> "Since you have seen the human forms of two of the generals so far, I think you can use process of elimination to suss out which one it might be. You'll have a 50% shot of guessing right."
  161. [02:39] <KamenWriter> He nods, "Could be, could be."
  162. 01[02:39] <Elsa> <Keldeo is not as organized or reserved as the figure we saw. Also why would the youngest of the four come to judge us.>
  163. [02:39] <KamenWriter> "A very solid deduction."
  164. [02:39] <KamenWriter> "Well done."
  165. [02:40] <KamenWriter> "Your champion was there as well, you know."
  166. [02:40] <KamenWriter> "You just couldn't see him."
  167. 01[02:41] <Elsa> <Outside vision as well as any psychic senses, effectively not there from our points of view.>
  168. [02:41] <KamenWriter> "Indeed."
  169. 01[02:41] <Elsa> <Closer to looking down into an enclosure and seeing what happens, instead of stepping in himself.>
  170. [02:41] <KamenWriter> "Of course, your senses weren't as evolved then as they no doubt are at the moment."
  171. 01[02:42] <Elsa> <A tangent on that thought, is the situation simply forcing us to grow faster than normal, or is something accelerating our growth.>
  172. 01[02:42] <Elsa> <There is no way I should have been able to do this based on what I had learned alone before all this happened.>
  173. [02:42] <KamenWriter> He laughs a little.
  174. 01[02:42] <Elsa> <Eight days and I can create fire and defy gravity to a degree.>
  175. [02:42] <KamenWriter> "Someone finally noticed."
  176. 01[02:43] <Elsa> <It was most noticable with me, as I have the most drastic abilities. I am sure Cait has strengthened as well.>
  177. [02:43] <KamenWriter> "Indeed. You're growing very fast. Your pokemon are growing fast. Your abilities are improving quickly."
  178. 01[02:44] <Elsa> <The others have less measurable abilities.>
  179. [02:44] <KamenWriter> "Oh, it's the same for them, believe me."
  180. [02:44] <KamenWriter> "However, it's not important."
  181. [02:44] <KamenWriter> "You should enjoy it."
  182. 06[02:45] * Elsa crosses her arms, floating the cup, <Is that to say we will revert to the state we were at before, or we should enjoy it before we die?>
  183. [02:46] <KamenWriter> "It's to say that you shouldn't question it. It simply is."
  184. [02:46] <KamenWriter> "However, if you want to question it, I shall not stop you."
  185. [02:46] <KamenWriter> "I'm a firm believer in individual liberty."
  186. 06[02:46] * Elsa laughs, <Then I will continue to question it.>
  187. [02:46] <KamenWriter> "Good."
  188. [02:47] <KamenWriter> "Then I choose not to answer."
  189. 01[02:48] <Elsa> <You chose to stand against the destruction of humans, which is not to say you stood for us. Simply against the removal of our race. Most other legends do not have a stake in our survival, but were you the only one denying Arceus and the others?>
  190. [02:49] <KamenWriter> "Oh, it was me and a few others. I believe I'm the most fervent of your supporters. Celebi as well, although his interests were complicated by his dual ties to nature and humanity."
  191. [02:51] <KamenWriter> "Only one stepped up as your champion, however, and I... acted as a sort of go-between. His power is meager compared to Capital-H-his, after all. Few have the power to match Him."
  192. [02:53] <KamenWriter> "Thankfully, I've always had a way with rules. I wrote the game by which you are currently playing. I tried my best to give you as many exploits as I could, but when the almighty is breathing down your neck, you have to be... subtle."
  193. [02:53] <KamenWriter> "As a consequence, however, I can only help you in the capacity that I have been."
  194. 01[02:53] <Elsa> <Well yes, it seems he isn't happy with the fact the game is taking place at all.>
  195. [02:53] <KamenWriter> "No indeed."
  196. [02:54] <KamenWriter> "He was a hairs breadth from smiting you all in an instant, however, balance must be honored. It would have disrupted both time and space to erase humanity from the history of ever, and so a plan had to be made.
  197. [02:54] <KamenWriter> "
  198. [02:55] <KamenWriter> "And in that moment of uncertainty, I was able to enter your champion's... objection."
  199. 01[02:55] <Elsa> <And so Dialga and Palkia stepped in to make it.>
  200. [02:55] <KamenWriter> "Indeed. You ARE well-informed. Mew I suspect. His tongue is not tied by any contracts."
  201. 01[02:56] <Elsa> <I will not say where I learned it, but I attempt to find out as much as I can.>
  202. [02:57] <KamenWriter> "His value of life is a little saccarine for my taste, but I must admit he is fun to have around."
  203. [02:57] <KamenWriter> "Any other questions you have to ask?"
  204. 01[02:58] <Elsa> <It has been mentioned that humanity was the one that split away from nature and began the path that led to this. Before then, what was the interaction like between humans and Pokemon.>
  205. [02:59] <KamenWriter> "Ah! Sooner or later humans always want to know where you came from, why you're different."
  206. 01[03:00] <Elsa> <I was actually asking to see how frequently the different groups interacted with humans.>
  207. [03:00] <KamenWriter> "Oh? I suppose the two stories are related, ultimately."
  208. [03:00] <KamenWriter> "In the beginning, there was light, and then the heavens and planets, and then there came a boring little world with boring little creatures who only kowtowed to the predefined order of things."
  209. [03:01] <KamenWriter> "And it was all ever so precious and disgustingly trite, and He looked down, and said that it was good."
  210. [03:01] <KamenWriter> "And then I came."
  211. [03:01] <KamenWriter> "I'm sure you've heard this part before. I rebelled. You like to sugar coat it several ways. Something about eating some fruit."
  212. [03:02] <KamenWriter> "Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, something like that."
  213. [03:02] <KamenWriter> "That's the precise moment when humanity turned away from nature."
  214. [03:02] <KamenWriter> "But the split was small at first. So small that few noticed it.
  215. [03:02] <KamenWriter> "
  216. [03:03] <KamenWriter> "And by the time that the split was wide enough that it could never be healed again, well, it was 1917, and He said it wasn't so good anymore."
  217. [03:05] <KamenWriter> "In the meantime, yes. Early on, the humans and legendaries interacted quite a bit."
  218. [03:05] <KamenWriter> "First as friends, then as enemies, then as master and slave, and then, finally, the stayed out of each other's ways."
  219. 06[03:07] * Elsa considers, <When did the master and slave occur?>
  220. [03:08] <KamenWriter> "Fairly recently."
  221. 01[03:08] <Elsa> <Recently by your measure, or mine?>
  222. [03:08] <KamenWriter> "You were dealing with the backlash of it as recently as... oh, late 1890s."
  223. [03:09] <KamenWriter> "The Americans call it the San Francisco disaster, I believe."
  224. 06[03:09] * Elsa rubs her chin, <That is, interesting.>
  225. [03:09] <KamenWriter> "You still used pyramids at the time it began, if that helps."
  226. 01[03:10] <Elsa> <Oh, so it simply culminated around that time.>
  227. [03:10] <KamenWriter> "Indeed."
  228. [03:11] <KamenWriter> "I hear Cait doesn't like us talking about her past."
  229. [03:11] <KamenWriter> "So if you want to know more, you can ask her about it."
  230. 06[03:11] * Elsa smiles and gives Giratina a look, <You know full well what you're doing though.>
  231. [03:12] <KamenWriter> "And what am I doing?"
  232. 01[03:12] <Elsa> <Nothing directly, but if I really wished to pry it out, you pointed me in exactly the right direction.>
  233. [03:14] <KamenWriter> "You should know as well as I do that I do enjoy a good loophole."
  234. 01[03:14] <Elsa> <You could have been a tad more subtle, simply a mention of family that might have been involved or other.>
  235. [03:14] <KamenWriter> "I never said a word about her past."
  236. 01[03:15] <Elsa> <I can piece together certain things, but I did agree not to prod too hard, I believe I will stand by that.>
  237. [03:15] <KamenWriter> "I like to see people using free will, even in the face of burning curiosity."
  238. [03:15] <KamenWriter> "One should never be a slave to anything."
  239. 01[03:16] <Elsa> <The original question of human and legendary interaction was leading into this though. Are there any notable human figures from the distant past that were close to any certain legends.>
  240. [03:16] <KamenWriter> "One must either be free, or be doing the enslaving himself."
  241. [03:16] <KamenWriter> "Oh. That's an interesting question."
  242. [03:16] <KamenWriter> "I like it."
  243. [03:17] <KamenWriter> He gets a sly smile on his face.
  244. [03:17] <KamenWriter> "Well, now, there was one chap."
  245. [03:17] <KamenWriter> "His name? I don't remember. I don't know if he ever had a name."
  246. [03:17] <KamenWriter> "Perhaps he was born before people gave themselves names."
  247. [03:17] <KamenWriter> "He invented fire."
  248. [03:18] <KamenWriter> "Or perhaps stole it from the gods."
  249. [03:18] <KamenWriter> "Or perhaps... it was a gift."
  250. 01[03:18] <Elsa> <There are many myths of the man to bring fire, the grain of truth in them is this man I suppose.>
  251. [03:19] <KamenWriter> "Indeed. Every legend has a grain of truth."
  252. [03:19] <KamenWriter> "I believe that... that was the most pertinent interaction."
  253. [03:19] <KamenWriter> "What do you humans call him?"
  254. [03:19] <KamenWriter> "Prometheus."
  255. [03:20] <KamenWriter> "I think that's one of his names."
  256. 01[03:20] <Elsa> <Yes.>
  257. [03:20] <KamenWriter> "Everything begins with fire."
  258. 01[03:20] <Elsa> <Birth, death, and rebirth. An interesting element.>
  259. 06[03:21] * Elsa smiles
  260. [03:21] <KamenWriter> "Wood is used to feed it. Water is drawn to douse it. Fire leads to smithies, which leads to mines."
  261. [03:21] <KamenWriter> "And from smithies, steel is born."
  262. [03:22] <KamenWriter> "Fire was the seed of creation, and the children..."
  263. [03:22] <KamenWriter> "Oh, I almost said too much."
  264. 06[03:22] * Elsa considers, <The children of men.>
  265. 01[03:23] <Elsa> <The four knights were created from man's desire to protect the land.>
  266. [03:23] <KamenWriter> "Were they? I suppose."
  267. 01[03:23] <Elsa> <But from whom would the fire have been taken, or given?>
  268. [03:24] <KamenWriter> "It doesn't take much, to start a fire."
  269. [03:24] <KamenWriter> "Just a little spark in your heart, and soon it roars to life."
  270. [03:25] <KamenWriter> "Beyond that... well..."
  271. [03:26] <KamenWriter> "Contracts and all."
  272. [03:26] <KamenWriter> He does the 'lips are sealed and throwing away the key' motion
  273. 06[03:27] * Elsa breathes in and rubs her mouth, <Hrmm, well yes. I suppose this makes it more interesting.>
  274. 06[03:28] * Elsa drinks a little more of the wine
  275. [03:28] <KamenWriter> "This is a fight for the life of humanity."
  276. [03:28] <KamenWriter> "You must face your past as well as your present."
  277. [03:28] <KamenWriter> "And of course examine your relationship to us."
  278. 06[03:29] * Elsa narrows her eyes, <I do not have anything to face from my past, I simply am acting for what is happening now.>
  279. [03:29] <KamenWriter> "If you say so."
  280. 01[03:30] <Elsa> <But even if it were the case, I doubt that the others will be coming to talk, so I suppose you won't get a chance to point them in my direction.>
  281. 06[03:30] * Elsa finishes the wine, <This was enlightening and fun, I will attempt to drop by again if something else of interest comes up to discuss.>
  282. [03:31] <KamenWriter> "Perhaps it isn't my business..."
  283. [03:31] <KamenWriter> "But."
  284. [03:31] <KamenWriter> "Whatever demons have followed you here, perhaps it would be best to face them... completely."
  285. [03:32] <KamenWriter> "Don't expect help from me, naturally. I am technically the prince of darkness or whatever."
  286. [03:32] <KamenWriter> "Helping people with nothing in it for me isn't really my style."
  287. [03:33] <KamenWriter> "Unless I like you."
  288. 01[03:33] <Elsa> <If you take an interest in someone, I worry that it might not be completely healthy for them.> She smiles
  289. [03:33] <KamenWriter> "Alas, no."
  290. [03:33] <KamenWriter> "But I try to make it as pleasant as I can."
  291. [03:33] <KamenWriter> "I nearly wish you and I could have met before this."
  292. [03:34] <KamenWriter> "You could have considered my offer."
  293. [03:35] <KamenWriter> "If we had more lovely conversations like that, if you had taken my offer, your soul might not have been consumed."
  294. [03:35] <KamenWriter> "I treat my friends well."
  295. [03:35] <KamenWriter> He gestures around the room."
  296. 01[03:35] <Elsa> <If humanity is destroyed, are the ones who had taken your deal destroyed as well?>
  297. [03:35] <KamenWriter> You notice that there are suddenly many MANY ghosts standing around
  298. [03:36] <KamenWriter> They are reading, or relaxing, or pacing around.
  299. 01[03:36] <Elsa> <I need to pay more attention to my surroundings.>
  300. [03:36] <KamenWriter> "Unfortunately yes."
  301. [03:36] <KamenWriter> "The ones here will cease to be."
  302. 01[03:36] <Elsa> <A small price to pay, I assume.>
  303. [03:37] <KamenWriter> "They have good unlives here, or as good as I can make them."
  304. [03:37] <KamenWriter> "A fairly large price for me."
  305. [03:37] <KamenWriter> "My power will be greatly weakened if humanity was never created."
  306. [03:38] <KamenWriter> He sighs, "I suppose that's what I get for believing that the only moral state is a state where you have power over your own fates."
  307. 01[03:39] <Elsa> <Don't be like that. We will try our hardest to not get killed.>
  308. [03:39] <KamenWriter> "I know you will."
  309. [03:39] <KamenWriter> "You all are like that."
  310. 01[03:41] <Elsa> <Anything you can say about our Champion before I leave?>
  311. [03:42] <KamenWriter> "Hmmmmm."
  312. [03:42] <KamenWriter> "Only..."
  313. [03:42] <KamenWriter> "That I gave you free will for a reason."
  314. [03:43] <KamenWriter> "Never be a slave to anything if you don't want it."
  315. [03:44] <KamenWriter> "Good or bad."
  316. 01[03:44] <Elsa> <That is doubly reassuring.>
  317. [03:45] <KamenWriter> "Good."
  318. 06[03:47] * Elsa floats the cup back over to him, <I suppose if anythin urgent comes up, you could send one of your friends to tell us.>
  319. 06[03:47] * Elsa stands
  320. 06[03:47] * Elsa balances herself, <Is that a vintage that I would recognize?>
  321. [03:47] <KamenWriter> "Nothing much happens here, but I'll keep that in mind."
  322. [03:47] <KamenWriter> "No indeed. 1400s I believe."
  323. [03:48] <KamenWriter> "Oh, and by the way, your friend Karsten helped out little Shaymin, correct?"
  324. 01[03:48] <Elsa> <Yes.>
  325. [03:48] <KamenWriter> "Ah, that explains it."
  326. 01[03:48] <Elsa> <Grass types in the store?>
  327. [03:48] <KamenWriter> "Grass and flying types are now available."
  328. [03:48] <KamenWriter> "I'm sure your captain will be happy to know."
  329. 01[03:52] <Elsa> <Indeed.>
  330. [03:52] <KamenWriter> "Goodbye, Child of man."
  331. [03:52] <KamenWriter> "Good luck."
  332. 06[03:53] * Elsa waves and floats out, weaving just noticably
