"HawK" Case 53 mutation summary.

May or may not be too off base from canon what would actually happen if the Golden Morning was delayed.

Cauldron Deviant Mutation summary:

Note: Bonesaw is assumed to have joined up with Cauldron as the Golden Morning didn't happen (yet) in my version of the Worm-verse.

Subject, upon taking a mixed Road/Avian vial willingly, turned into a feathered mass of bird parts and flesh. Extra body limbs and heads of all kinds sprout from where the arms, head, and end of the legs where the feet would be. Limbs also branch from the torso but not to such an extent. Subject screeched from multiple mouths until put under via gas. While everyone was figuring out what to do with the Deviant, Contessa managed to offhandly make a plan to get them into a more typical Case 53-like status where release was possible that heavily involved Bonesaw. Due to the Deviant's pre-mutation high chance of heroism the plan was executed. After three days of work and roughly 200 lbs of discarded flesh Bonesaw managed to work the deviant into a humanoid form. Afterwards Tests were done that verified that the Deviant had gained a Tinker power as was originally planned. Biological scans over time revealed that the Deviant's body is constantly trying to grow new body parts everywhere but the legs and the interior of the rib cage due to the shard's influence. Growth start out as small lumps and turn into bone that does not follow a typical growth structure, instead it starts as a miniturized version of the end result and grows in size. These bone growths cause inflamation and often touch nerves and tear muscles. Growth of connective tissues/muscles for the bone growths start occuring when the growth is at ~40% of the end size and has peirced through the skin and occur grow  ~70% as fast as the bone growths. Other layers of tissue start growing when muscle and connective tissue growth for the new limb is ~80 complete, prior to this point the limb is covered in a red, jelly-like sensitive membrane that is easily broken. Removal of the bone growth before the other stages is the best way to deal with the issues posed by them, later removal leaves the tissues from the later stages as inert lumps. Spawning of new growths increases with how much the Tinker power is used and several may spawn growths may spawn within 24 hours if the power is heavily used. These growths warrant the constant use of painkillers by the Deviant as the pain otherwise becomes too much to bear. Tthe Deviant also heals quickly from minor wounds such as cuts and burns with no scar tissue. Deviant's brain structure has also been altered and their thinking and logic has become more animal-like, though they still are able to feel the full range of human emotions but may be unable to express said emotions.

PRT Case 53 "Hawk" Mutation summary:

Body is rather bird-like with feathers covering all of it, coloration of the plumage resembles that of the Red-Tailed Hawk. Head, Arms, Hands, and Feet show the greatest signs of mutation with the Torso showing lesser, but still significant, mutation. General body structure is humanoid (there are no wings). Hands have been replaced with talon-like appendages that have three digits in the place of the fingers and another digit where the thumb would be. Feet are digigrade and add an extra two feet of height, they end in talons that are poorly suited to walking across flat surfaces. Cape is plagued by constant growth of bone within their tissues that often causes great pain as they put pressure on nerves and damage tissues with their growth. Use of painkillers has been approved and are to be provided at all times, care must be taken though to make sure the cape does not overdose herself. Growths the cape can get at are ritually removed at least twice a day via self surgery assisted by her drones. The rate at which new growths occur is tentatively linked with the use of the cape's Tinker power. Cape seems to have altered thinking patterns but otherwise is likely mentally human, regular psychiartic visits have been scheduled to monitor this. Cape, when their mind is not clouded by pain, has shown herself to be quite friendly and possessing of a sharp wit.
