  1. Baneposting Guide (The Master Plan):
  2.
  3. Part 1: Get 'Em on Board
  4. Introducing Baneposting to a thread used to be difficult to perform. However, now that the big guy has spread across other boards and sites it is a relatively simple matter.
  5.
  6. >Use "For You/4U/UUUU" in response to any references to 'guy' or 'big'. Also works in reverse, just say "He's [big/(or other adjective)] guy" randomly in response to any images or posts.
  7.
  8. These should be easily recognized and palatable by the uninitiated to start the fire.
  9.
  10. Alternate methods may receive less recognition. For example, the most popular would be "BANE?" and it is certainly less nuanced an approach then the above. Find a name that rhymes with Bane, or is a 4 letters, or no to both of them, it could all work. I've seen Smash and Metroid threads on /v/ get derailed by people posting "RIDLEY?" so experiment. Be warned that it is an easy way to get banned and we do not want that my brothers.
  11.
  12. Part 2: Grabbing the Prize
  13. Now that everyone is on board, they're a more advanced methods of Baneposting available.
  14.
  15. To quickly list some:
  16. >"[title]. [name], I'm [organization, official or not]"
  17. >"He didn't [verb] so good"
  18. >"Uhh, you don't get to [bring/ (verb)] [friends/ (subject)]"
  19. >This one is a bit hard, but "The [noun] plan I just filed with the [organization] lists me, [subject], [subject] here, but only one of you! First one to [verb] gets to [verb] on my [setting]." It usually takes me a while to fill out.
  20.
  21. Part 3: The Fire Rises
  22. At this point the thread has completely devolved into Baneposting, you will likely face a lot of hate from the normal posters, or "hotheads". Be sure to make liberal usage of "Someone get this hothead outta here!" and its variations. You should already have a subfolder of hothead related images in your Bane folder.
  23.
  24. Other methods to fight the hotheads include:
  25. >"Was [progressive verb] [state of being] part of your plan?/OF COURSH"
  26. >"Tell me about [the poster/the janitor/ (subject)], why does he [do it for free/ (or something else)]!?"
  27. >"A lotta loyalty for [hired/ unhired/ (adjective)] [gun/ poster/ mod/ (subject)]!"
  28. >"Now is not the time for [fear/ anger/ mods/ (anything)], that comes later."
  29.
  30. Part 4: Crashing This Plane
  31. By now the thread is utterly destroyed, and the mods are coming. But don't worry, they are much less strict on Baneposting than before so you might not get banned.
  32.
  33. You should leave the insignia of the big guy on the thread before leaving.
  34. >"It doesn't who we are/what board we're from, what matters is our plan." is manipulable but this is how I prefer to use it.
  35. >If a hothead tells you that he's reported the posts, then a good response is "They expect one of us in the wreckage, brother."
  36. >In general, say "Have we started the fire?/The fire rises" in order to communicate with fellow baneposters throughout this and other parts of the master plan.
