A nice old-school adventure movie in the Hollywood tradition with lush settings and outdoors. The lead couple is good but it's Dieterle himself as the villain who steals the show with his larger than life and cartoon like interpretation of the violent, authoritarian and sadistic Master Kirila Petrovitch.
