  1. ONE SHOT SAMPLES:One shots are loaded up into a sampler and triggered by midi. Alternatively they can be arranged in audio tracks. If theyre arranged in audio tracks they can be played in reverse.
  2.
  3. LOOPS:Loops are audio files with a BPM label. They must be synced to the current project tempo. They can be arranged in audio tracks and even played backwards. Alternatively they can be loaded up into slicex and triggered by midi.
  4.
  5. SYNCING:Either you can adjust the tempo of the project to match the audio, or you can adjust the audio to match the project. There are two ways you can adjust the audio. The audio is first trimmed so that it is a measured beat. One pitch shift algorithm results in a lower or higher pitch if it is changed to be slower or faster. The other algorithm does not change the pitch.
  6.
  7. ARRANGING:Splitting of music is done in sixteenth note triplets or larger. Segments of the music can be duplicated and arranged.
  8.
  9. TEMPO:Tempo determines how fast or slow your project is.
  10.
  11. VST INSTRUMENTS:Vst instruments are sound generators that use either samples or synthesizers. They have different parameters which are changed to design a new sound.
  12.
  13. EFFECTS:There are lots of different effects. They are placed on a track to change the sound of it. EQs are used to cut or raise frequencies. Filters are used to change timbre and volume. Limiters are used for side chain compression. Delays are used to create repeating effects. Reverb is used for a chorus.
  14.
  15. MIDI: Drawing rhythmic and melodic patterns, including pitch and velocity. Velocity is another word for volume.
  16.
  17. AUTOMATION:Data created to turn knobs. When knobs are turned in sync with music it creates movement. Which knobs you turn will greatly effect sound design. You can turn any knob. Knobs are part of vst instruments, effects and the track.
  18.
  19. QUARTER INCH INPUTS:Guitar or voice can be recorded with quarter inch inputs.
