- It was a warm summer day in Santalune City. The grassy residential area in the Kalos town held many different kinds of Pokemon, but there was one house that stood out. It was painted a pine green in color, as an homage to the trees it was cut down from, as opposed to the gray paint decorating the houses left over by humans. The two-story house had a small bed of flowers next to the front door. The flowers were a stunning pink, and had small black seeds arranged in a circle in the center. If one were to glance inside, they could see a Sylveon scurrying about, alternating between cooking a breakfast for a Flareon and Espeon waiting at a table in the kitchen, and coddling a baby Eevee in her feelers. Glancing back at the table, she realized someone was missing. Frowning, she passed off the crying Eevee to the Flareon's open arms.
- "Harry, please hold Jake for a moment. I have to go wake up Pepper."
- "Of course dear. I'll make sure breakfast doesn't burn either." The Fire-type Eeveelution replied as he held his child next to their soft yellow neck fur. He stood at the counter, turning the roasting berries in the pan with his bare paws, unfazed by the pan's heat.
- He'd hum a tune as he shook the crying Eevee, and spotted a piece of spare Oran Berry on the counter. He picked it up, and holding it out to the Eevee, goofily said, "Does Jakey want the berry piece?"
- The little Eevee immediately stopped crying at the sight of the fruit, and reached his paws out at the fruit, cooing. Harry smiled, glad the distraction worked, and nuzzled his fluffy face against them, pouring on the baby-talk. "Yes he does, yes he does!"
- Meanwhile, the Sylveon hurried up the stairs, stopping at a grayed oak door with a piece of paper on it saying "KEEP OUT". Knocking on the door, she called out to her son.
- "Pepper! It's time for school!"
- A grunt was the only reply.
- "Pepper, I'm coming in sweetie!"
- "Mom, no! I'm-!"
- Pepper didn't get to finish as the Sylveon opened the door, raising a feeler to her mouth at the sight. Her Leafeon son was laying in bed, the green covers partially falling onto the wooden floorboards, revealing a yellowed diaper around his waist. He noticed her stare and turned to face the window next to his bed, but the Leafeon's frown was visible through the reflection of the glass. The Sylveon sat on the bed next to Pepper and curled her paws around him, trying to comfort the Leafeon as she opened her mouth. Pepper knew what she was about to say, and he knew she already knew the answer.
- "Did you have that nightmare again dear?"
- He sighed, still avoiding looking directly at her. "Yes Mom."
- She pulled them closer towards her chest and hugged them tightly before she planted a kiss on their forehead. "I'm sorry dear. How about we clean you up before you join us downstairs? I made your favorite!"
- He gave her a small grin, if only to keep her from worrying, but internally he hated this. That nightmare... over and over. He couldn't go a week without waking up shivering in a puddle of his own urine after he first experienced it. It terrified him every time without fail, even though in the 3 years since he initially began having it he'd memorized everything that happened in it. All he needed to do was close his eyes, and he could picture it. A black sky clouding out the sun, a large open cave right by a lake, and a white and green figure flying through the sky, with something red around their neck. As the figure flew towards the cave, a chilling scream would cry out, and glowing red eyes could be seen in the cave's entrance. Pepper would be standing at a small patch of grass in front of the cave, and he'd try and back away, but all he could do was stand paralyzed as that thing came out, that horrifying yellow monster with those blood-red spikes, and how he'd finally manage to turn and run, only for those spikes to reach out and grab him, before he came face to face with it, and he'd beg for mercy, only to-
- "Pepper! Hello!"
- The Leafeon snapped out of his daze as he realized his mother was waving one of her feelers in his face, and he scratched his face shyly.
- "Sorry Mom, I was... thinking about something."
- The Sylveon gave him a blank stare at his response, likely knowing what his thoughts were about, but quickly turned cheerful as she clapped her paws together and smiled at him .
- "Well, I finished changing you, so come downstairs and eat with us before you're late for school!"
- Pepper blushed at the word "changing", embarrassed that despite being much older than Jake, he was being treated more or less the same. He didn't know which to hate more, the nightmare or the fact that he needed to wear diapers because of it. Usually, most of his accidents occurred at night, but he'd had a a few incidents during the day where he'd nodded off in class and woke up with everyone laughing at the pee dripping from his legs while the janitor came in and mopped the floor. Everyone called him "Pee Per" as a result of these incidents, but he didn't mind much. What he DID mind was that his mom always seemed to be able to embarrass him in the worst ways possible. The first day after his mother had talked to the school about Pepper's problem, she actually came with him to school and sat in his class with a diaper bag, waiting to change him if necessary. He was glad he convinced her to stop that at least, but she'd still baby him almost as much as his baby brother whenever they went out in public.
- "Mooooom!" He whined. "I thought we agreed we wouldn't call it that!"
- "Oh, sorry honey! I meant "drying you"!" She said playfully as she winked. "But come on, your food's ready to be eaten by the tummy monster!" She gave his belly a tickle, the Leafeon gasping and squirming for a bit before she jumped off his bed. Pepper tossed his blanket aside and grabbed his backpack with his maw before he followed his mother downstairs to the dinner table. Harry looked up at the both of them as they descended down the stairs.
- "There you two are! Jake's already eating!" The Flareon replied. The little Eevee could be seen nibbling on the small piece of Oran Berry, blue juice starting to stain part of his mouth. Pepper put his bag down next to his chair before sitting at the table, watching as his mom went over to the counter and brought back a plate with his favorite: Persim Berry Omelette. "Here you go sweetie!"
- The Leafeon made a poker face as he was given a green kiddie fork decorated with Politoeds on the handle. Normally, he'd make a fuss about this same fork also being used to feed Jake, or the fact that she'd cut his food up for him, but he knew she'd "forget" by the next day, so he just kept quiet and took the fork from the Sylveon. "Thanks Mom." He began to try and stab a piece of the omelette with the fork, but grew visibly frustrated every time the omelette slipped through the fork prongs.
- The Espeon sitting next to him let out a small laugh as she watched her little brother struggle to stab the omelette pieces with the child-friendly utensil. "So Mom, was the little lettuce wettuce?"
- Pepper's cheeks turned pink as he gave her an indignant look. "W-Was not!"
- She stuck her tongue out at the Leafeon. "Was too! I can smell the fresh powder on you!"
- The Sylveon walked over and put her feelers between the two of their faces, waving at both of them. "Alright, that's enough you two. Sara, apologize to your brother."
- The Espeon waved a paw. "Sorry Pepper, I was just teasing. I can read your mind anyway."
- The Leafeon only grumbled as he resumed eating his omelette. He knew there wasn't much time before school started, so he wanted to eat as much of his food as possible. A bell ringing throughout the town confirmed his suspicions. Ten minutes before school, he thought, I should be able to make it. He tilted his plate against the edge of the table and scooped in a few pieces of the omelette before he stood up, still chewing his food.
- "Gmmm go, bymmm!"
- "Bye sweetie, have a good day!" His mom replied, waving one of her feelers.
- "See ya kiddo!" His dad said as he waved, Jake babbling in his paws.
- "Try not to pee yourself Pepper! Otherwise, urine trouble!" Sara giggled.
- Pepper frowned, not finding the pun funny, and turned his head towards his backpack. He stuck his neck through the strap, and leaned his head back to let it slide snugly onto his shoulders. He waved one of his paws before opening the door and dashing off to school, the crinkling noise of his diaper following behind him.
