  1. LESSER VAMPIRE
  2.
  3. Background: Men and women from all walks of life, turned into monsters by the greater undead known as Drakul when they bite a human or feed them blood. Lacking in raw power, but more adaptable than their makers, these newborns have no way to infect others through their bite alone, and rely on the other, slower method to reproduce.
  4.
  5. During the first few hours after the transformation, the fledgling vampire is dazed and wide open to suggestion. This can shape the rest of their lives, since for a brief period they may easily be entranced by a Drakul into becoming their servant, go feral, or try to return to their daily lives as if nothing had happened...
  6.
  7. Their needs for water and food have been replaced by a thirst for blood. Any blood is good for them, but human is preferable, as animal blood has been observed to cause malnutrition on the long run. Their behavior when thirsty is hard to predict, and depends largely on the individual, but it tends to be violent and reckless. This, along with their potential to wound humans for nourishment has had them labeled as a threat to humans, and mingling with them is even a punishable offense in some regions.
  8.
  9. Courtship:
  10.
  11. Vampires are largely the same person they were before their transformation, although they seem to act in a much more uninhibited way. They show a degree of confidence and a taste for debauchery that they wouldn't have dared to while they were human. They're sociable, lecherous, and indiscriminate. If there's one in your vicinity, courting them is just a matter of getting their attention.
  12.
  13. While they're usually unlikely to take part in anything more serious than a one-night stand, they can be swayed into staying by promising to keep their feeding and carnal needs fulfilled. In bed, they're usually dominant, only relinquishing control when they want their mates to prove their worth, and engage in mild sadomasochism by biting their partners during sex.
  14.
  15. Being largely nocturnal, the vampire's hours of activity usually clash with her partner's, and she's likely to take offense to the fact that someone would rather go to sleep instead of getting down with her. As revenge, she may begin to spike her man's foods and drinks with her own venom, which has aphrodisiac effects and causes the blood vessels to expand.
  16.
  17. General tidbits
  18.
  19. They're easily recognizable thanks to their pale skin, cold touch, sharp canines and bright-colored eyes. However, craftier vampires may know enough about magic to walk around town with perfectly human looks to avoid being spotted. They will avoid mirrors, as they cast no reflection, and sunlight and religious symbols are often bothersome to them as well. Fresh blood can also tempt them into showing their true face.
  20.
  21. The way a vampire was originally exposed to the Drakul's influence affects her personality. Those created by drinking her blood have a generally cocksure attitude all the time, and those created by her bite will appear more serene, but its marks will never heal completely. Touching said marks will make even the tamest of vampires quiver in pleasure and turn into sex fiends for as long as they're being massaged.
  22.
  23. It's impossible for a second-generation vampire to turn someone of the opposite sex into one of their own. However, if you decide to romance one, you shouldn't drop your guard: should she decide that she'd rather have a vampire husband over a blood source, she could still get in touch with a Drakul or a male vampire to do the deed for her.
  24.
  25. Species: Undead
  26.
  27. Personality: Lustful, dominant
  28.

  34.
  35. Warnings: Not as vulnerable to sunlight as you would believe. Avoid confronting
  36. those in a Drakul's fold, those are the real danger.
