  1. This is a bare-bones Constitution which I've devised specifically to be agreeable to all parties. Rather than proposing a complete bill of rights, I believe it would be advantageous for us to adopt a similar procedure that the founders of the United States did: amendments should be crafted, proposed and voted upon individually. For details on how this is to be done, see Article VI - Amendments Procedure.
  2. -- St. Paul
  3.
  4. The Christian Dominion Party's proposed Constitution v2:
  5.
  6. Article I - Composition
  7. The Senate of /pol/ shall be composed of:
  8. 100 representatives, each of which must have a name and tripcode, responsible for proposing motions and voting on them;
  9. a Speaker, who is responsible for acknowledging motions, taking and counting votes.
  10.
  11. Article II - The Office of the Speaker
  12. The single largest party has the right to nominate candidates for Speaker. A vote is then taken and the candidate with the single highest number of votes is the Speaker.
  13.
  14. Article III - Election of Representatives
  15. Representatives are sent to the Senate by parties. The criteria by which parties choose their representatives is their own prerogative. However, the number of representatives allotted to each party is determined by a general vote to be taken on pollcode.com. Each party is responsible for sending the correct number of representatives: if they fail to send enough representatives, then their remaining seats will naturally abstain from voting.
  16.
  17. Article IV - General Elections and Terms of Senate
  18. Section I. General
  19. Each [insert number here; to be discussed] week(s), a new term of Senate is initiated. A general election is taken to determine the representative count of each party, and the parties nominate their allotted representatives. This general election will be administered on pollcode.com, and open to all /pol/acks.
  20.
  21. Section II. Admittance of Parties
  22. At the beginning of a new term, a new thread should be created wherein /pol/acks can submit applications for their party to be included on the general election. The acceptance of applications will be at the discretion of the votemaster; i.e. foolish or joke parties such as the "Standing at the Back Dressed Stupidly and Looking Stupid Party" should be discouraged.
  23.
  24. Section III. The Final Vote
  25. When all the votes have been counted, each party is allotted representatives on a percentage-wise basis. If the Libertarian party, for example, wins 39% of the vote, it gets 39 representatives, and so on.
  26.
  27. Article V - Motion and Voting Procedure
  28. Motions may be proposed by any representative, but to be voted upon a motion must be seconded at least three times; if it meets this criteria, the Speaker is then obligated to call a simple "yea" or "nay" vote.
  29.
  30. For a motion to pass, it must obtain a super majority of at least 67 percent "yea".
  31.
  32. Article VI - Amendments Procedure
  33. To successfully propose an amendment, the amendment motion must be seconded at least ten times.
  34.
  35. For an amendment to this Constitution to pass, it must obtain 67 percent "yea" vote.
