San Andreas Multiplayer FAQ

Q: In what server does /gtag/ play?

Q: What is SAMP? Where do I get it?
A: SAMP is a community driven San Andreas modification started in 2005 and oficially released in 2006. You can grab it at www.sa-mp.com

Q: My San Andreas keeps crashing!
A: Make sure your gta-sa.exe version is 1.0.
If not, you might install San Andreas from scratch, get a "legal" downgrader or alternatively just download the crack for 1.0 and replace the exe.
If you are opening the game through Steam, don't Alt+Tab with the overlay open.

Q: Chat says I'm banned from the server! I didn't do anything!
A: The server is restarting. Close San Andreas and reconnect.

Q: My vehicle stopped working! What is happening?
A: Maybe someone messed up the /engine ;)

Q: How do I disable the Google Translate voice from chat?
A: /settings > Audio - Chat Voice

Q: How do I do X?
A: Do /cmds or /animlist

Q: I made some money and I want to buy a car. Wich one is best?
A: Best 2-door car is the infernus. Best 4-door car is sultan. Best motorbikes are FCR & NRG.


Q: I can't take off with the Skimmer seaplane. Is it bugged?
A: Enable/disable the frame limit in your video options.

Q: I downloaded a mod but it came with some .asi files.
A: Download asi loader and put it in your San Andreas folder.

Q: I can open the game on Linux under Wine, but it crashes a few seconds after loading.
A: Unplug your USB controller.

Q: Why is everyone so fast with motorbikes?
A: Experienced players use the tap trick. Basically, tap the up arrow key to gain more speed, and faster.


How to make money FAST on Kar's Cops & Robbers:
1.- Casino robberies
2.- San Fierro Job (needs chopper/boat)
3.- Warehouse robberies (W in the map)
4.- Normal group robberies (gets you insane amounts of money when a lot of people do it)
5.- Bank robberies


How to make money LEGALLY on Kar's Cops & Robbers:
1.- Special classes (cop, medic, garbageman,firefighter..)
2.- Fishing
3.- Taxist
4.- Petrol Delivery missions (the refinery at Octane Springs, dont recommend normal truck missions)
5.- Aircraft cargo deliveries, mail deliveries, van deliveries....
6.- Sell guns (permit is bought in the city hall, yellow dot on minimap)

Noob's Must Buys - Get this stuff at 24/7 !
 Fake Wallets - To avoid being robbed
 Condoms      - To avoid being raped
 Scissors     - To cut the rope when you are being kidnapped - /cr

Groups & turf war basics
/groups  - displays groups with members online and their ID
/gmems   - displays your group members, and wich ones are online. if you put another groups ID it will display their members
/provoke - starts a turf war in a colored area in LS. There is no profit of any kind from this.




Pot growing basics
 To buy weed seeds go to a Drug checkpoint (D). You can carry a max of 10 and plant a max of 5.
 Make sure to /plant them where you don't expect people to go.
 You will get a message when your plant is ready to be harvested (around 60 grams)
 and another when its close to dying (80 grams I belive) but it actually dies at 105.
 Make sure that no one is close when you go back to /harvest
You can also buy plant trackers in the drug point if you fear you won't remember the location.




Power gaming tricks
 In a hurry? Typing /jr instead of /robbery will save some time.
 You can also skip most "forced" animations with player animations such as /dance
 Use "/i (ID)" to get info of a players location, class, and vehicle
 When being arrested, type /bc to attemp to break the cuffs.
 Bank robberies actually take money from players!
 To avoid this, you can either carry all your money with you and use fake wallets or store the money in your house.

 You can do class specific stuff by just pressing 2 or the look back key.
-Paying a ticket
-Robbing players (if you are a con artist)
-Arresting players/issuing tickets as a cop
-Fishing (when in a boat)

 If you have a gun, you can stick-up players with /su and knock them down for a few seconds.

 You can use $civ, $war, $cia and $cop with this command or any toher.
 For example, if you want to hide from the cops you can do /i $cop to check wich one is most close,
 or if you are a cop you can do /i $war (warrant) to check where the closest criminal is.

To get rid of your wanted level you can do the following
-Go to one of the churches marked with a red C in the map.
-Try to get a cop to accept a /bribe
-Get the stars just like in Single Player
-Wait A LOT depending on your wanted level

Getting your car stolen all the time? lock with with /lk
This works permanently on owned cars and until you logout or get on another car in stolen ones

MISC:

 Someone might say in chat "type /grl" Keep in mind thats the command to leave your group
 $cash displays your current money
 Someone RDMing or targeting you? Use /c or make a forum complaint.
 You can also defend yourself or take revenge and it wouldn't be against the rules.
 Remember that you aren't allowed to pause or quit to avoid ANYTHING.
