1. average person will have an EV. The cost of EVs will be so cheap to maintain and pay for electricity, it wouldn't make sense to have anything else so one can just travel long trips without stopping for 30 minutes every 200+ miles.
2.
3. also the electrical grid WILL BE RENEWABLE in some years, plus there will be local electricity production (which already exists, but will be cheaper and cheaper)
4.
5. and renewables are not gonna be a problem cause the sun shines only when day and wind works when wind works, cause there would be batteries that will buffer all the energy needed.
6.
7. MAN READ THE FULL ANALYSIS OF THE 3 VEHICLE SYSTEMS:
8.
9. A. PETROL/GAS:
10.
11. how to have petrol/gas:
12. ...1... you need to extract it with energy SUPER INEFFICIENT
13. ...2... transported it with trucks that burn petrol SUPER INEFFICIENT
14. ...3... burn it SUPER INEFFICIENTLY in the car
15.
16. It leads to:
17. ....4... people paying lots of money continuously (you see SUPER INEFFICIENT)
18. ....5... you have to check if you need petrol/gas all the time
19. ....6... have people live in cities with fumes almost 24/7
20. ....7... you can have petrol tanker spill petrol at the sea
21. ....8... oil can easily catch fire
22. ....9... gas is even more dangerous because a gas leak in a room or parking or even in your car can make a deadly fire/explosion out of a spark
23. ....10. that's why underground parking places don't allow gas cars.
24. ....11. increase the amount of carbon in the carbon cycle, making the world inhabitable
25.
26. only advantage: in long trips you can go indefinitely by only doing 5 minute stops.
27.
28. B. HYDROGEN
29.
30. ....1. ways to have hydrogen:
31.
32. .......a. hydrogen from reserves:
33. ..........i... extract hydrogen from underground using energy SUPER INEFFICIENT
34. ..........ii.. compress it using LOTS of energy SUPER INEFFICIENT
35. ..........iii. transport hydrogen with trucks that use hydrogen SUPER INEFFICIENT
36. ..........iv. again use energy to fill tanks in fuel stations (and no, the compressed hydrogen does not pass from truck to tank by itself totally. If the tank is empty: in the begging the fuel flows, but when the pressure in both tanks reach the same you got to use energy to push the rest of it through) SUPER INEFFICIENT
37.
38. or
39.
40. ........b. hydrogen through electrolysis:
41. ...........i.. production of electricity
42. .............+...... burn coal/oil/gas or
43. .............++.... in the end make electricity from sun, water, wind
44. ...........ii.+. electrolysis everywhere remotely
45. ................-... transport of electricity through cables
46. ................--.. electrolysis INEFFICIENT
47. ................---. compressing hydrogen SUPER INEFFICIENT
48. ..............++ electrolysis near plants
49. ...................-... electrolysis INEFFICIENT
50. ...................--.. compressing hydrogen SUPER INEFFICIENT
51. ...................---. transferring hydrogen with trucks that burn hydrogen SUPER INEFFICIENT
52. ...................----. filling tanks with hydrogen from the truck using energy SUPER INEFFICIENT
53.
54. ....2. using hydrogen in a car
55. .......a. you make electricity with fuel cells INEFFICIENTLY
56.
57. It leads to:
58. ....3. people paying lots of money (you see SUPER INEFFICIENT)
59. ....4. hydrogen is easily catching on fire
60. ....5. a leak can make a big explosion/fire cause it can gather in the car, or in a parking, or a room.
61. ....6. cannot park in underground parking
62.
63. only advantage: in long trips you can go indefinitely by only doing 5 minute stops
64.
65. C. EVs:
66.
67. ...1. how to have electricity:
68. ......a. burn coal/oil/gas EFFICIENTLY and far from cities or
69. ......b. in the end make electricity from sun, water, wind
70. ....2.a. transport it effortlessly through simple cables or
71. .......b. the production may be in place.
72. ....3. store the energy
73. .......a. in the car
74. .......b. in a battery storage
75.
76. the efficiency of all those is hugely better than A and B
77.
78. it leads to:
79. ....4. paying 10 times less (see? SUPER EFFICIENT)
80. ....5. carbon cycle stays the same
81.
82. ....6. people live in cities with clear air
83.
84. only disadvantage that you cannot go indefinitely without 30 minute stops BUT you can rent a petrol/hydrogen vehicle for long trips if you want to go indefinitely BECAUSE most people most of the year don't do long trips, they commute and do small distances! they don't spend their life in the car either so the car can charge while it is parked anywhere. BUT then again people like to rest some time after traveling 200+ miles.
