Wendy Corduroy sighed and closed her eyes. She thought to her self 'Maybe if I ignore it, it will-'

She sighed again. She glanced around, seeing no one in the Mystery Shack. She quickly pulled out her cellphone and checked to see who was calling. It was Tambry. What a surprise. Not like anyone really contacts her anymore. With the exception of Mark Epstein, of course.

Wendy inhaled and answered the call. "Heyyyyyyyyy Tambry!" she greeted with a vocal facade of pleasant surprise.
"Heyyyyyyy Bestie!" Tambry responded. Her greeting was more genuine.

"S-so, what's up?" Wendy asked. She really wanted to ask "Why are you  calling me and who gave you my new number?" but that wasn't really polite.

"Ohhhh, nothing. Just hanging with my husbooo~~~~!" Tambry swooned.

Ah yes. Robbie.
The one.
The only.
Robbie.

"Well, that sounds...cool, well I'll let you-"
"I called to see of you were still down to go to the movies on Friday. Nate, Lee, and Thompson dropped out and I just want to know if you're still down or not."

Wendy went silent. She wonders of she should tell Tambry WHY her group of friends have been hanging out less and less.

Ever since Robby and Tambry started dating, a significant shift developed in their group of friends. This mostly stemmed from Nate.
At first, he was 'ok' with it. But the more he hung out with the couple, and the more brazen the couple got with expressing their love, he could no longer take it. Lee followed suit.

For a brief period, it was Robbie, Tambry, Wendy and Thompson. It was...alright. But Thompson seemed to be getting the wrong idea about it. Wendy swore she would catch Thompson making flirtatious faces and awkward attempts of hitting on her. She soon put a stop to that.

And then, it was Robbie, Tambry, and Wendy. Seeing how happy Tambry and Robbie together made her feel something. Sick.

"You know what...I can't. The old man wants me to work this weekend! Sorry." Wendy lied through her teeth.

"Oh..that sucks. Welp, I guess it's me and Robbie again. Well, if you have any time off, hit me up. It feels like FOREVER since we all hung out together."

"Alright, will do. Look, Tambry. The old man wants me to get back to work. I gotta go. Bye."
"Ok. Byyyyyeee-"
Wendy snapped her phone shut.
She exhaled.

Wendy didn't hate Tambry for dating or ex, or her ex dating her best friend.
She just thought the couple was a little...too much.
Mabye when they leave the 'honeymoon' stage of their relationship, maybe they can hang out again.
