19.
Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan achieved a new milestone when he topped the International Cricket Council (ICC) All-Rounder rankings across all three formats, becoming the first cricketer to achieve this feat.[1] The success for Shakib has come as a result of his exploits during the recently concluded Test and One-Day International (ODI) series against Zimbabwe. Shakib earned 398 points in the Test format, 57 points ahead of South African bowling all-rounder Vernon Philander. He earned 403 and 377 points in ODIs and Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) respectively, ahead of Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez in both the limited-overs formats. Shakib had recently played a major part in Bangladesh’s 3-0 and 5-0 whitewashes of the Zimbabwe series’, collecting 29 wickets and scoring two centuries and a half-century across the formats. Shakib is expected to play a major role during Bangladesh’s upcoming World Cup campaign.

 25.
Shakib was appointed Bangladesh's vice-captain in June 2009. During Bangladesh's tour of the West Indies the following month, the captain Mashrafe Mortaza was injured and Shakib took over the captaincy. He was 22 years old at the time. Initially a temporary position, Shakib's success against the West Indies, securing his side's first overseas series win, ensured his retention of captaincy even after Mort recovered. Shakib was named The Wisden Cricketer's "Test Player of the Year" in November 2009. In July 2010, he stepped down from the ODI captaincy to concentrate on his personal performance. Mortaza took over until he became injured again and Shakib was asked to resume leadership. This lasted until he was relieved of captaincy in September 2011 due to a poor World Cup campaign .
