  8. Thanks! Welcome to this process! :)

  10. Oh wow neat I'm surprised this is alive. :)

  12. [ MJ! ] PING PLAIN PROCESS LIST
  13. (Please remove this step from this process when specializing it to a particular purpose, or just adapt it so it pings instead a list of processes with that new purpose.) Please add this process to the list of plain processes at http://evolvingprocesses.wikidot.com/plain-process-pool or if it's already been listed then please just update its entry with some news about how it's been developing.
  14. https://factor.cc/pad/p/kD4VcUUzlf - Cerulean7Ivy, a happily rolling plain process with tweeting, banner making, lots of nothing. Participate in a process without parallel-- participate in Cerulean7Ivy. <3

  20. I feel like what this process needs more of is checking in at this reddit thread. I'd like to put a few more checkins at this thread, for instance after the banner making step posting the banner and after the archive step posting the archive.
  21. [ MJ! ] PLANT PICTURES
  22. Please find a picture of this process's plant mascot and link to it here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/86/Hedera_rhombea_3.JPG

  30. [ MJ! ] SEARCH UNIQUE NAME
  31. Please search the web for this process's unique name and report here on any references anyone's made to this process.
  32. No results!
  33. [ MJ! ] SUGGESTIONS FOR THE MUTATORS
  34. Please make some vague general suggestions of how this process could perhaps be improved, just to give the mutators some ideas.
  35. Mungojelly: I'd like Metaprocess Comment somewhere. Perhaps Silly Suggestions for the Mutators. I've been wanting to have something after Mutate that says to put the mutation in a list called like Good Mutations if it's something that might be worth reusing.
  36. [ MJ! ] MUTATE
  37. Below should be another copy of this checklist. Please attempt to improve that version of the checklist somehow so future iterations of this process will be even more successful! These mutations will be passed on to new children of this process and depending on the success of this strain they might be copied many times, so you should maybe be a little careful about what you write.
  38. Mungojelly: All those and also more reddit check-ins! Busy round of mutation, that! :O
  39. [ MJ! ] PING RECENTLY MUTATED PROCESSES LIST
  40. Please link to this process from the list of recently mutated processes at http://wuselpad.ironhide.de/p/RecentlyMutatedProcesses
  41. https://factor.cc/pad/p/kD4VcUUzlf - a big one! added silly suggestions, good mutations list, metaprocess comments and some extra reddit check-ins! :O
  42. [ MJ! ] MINOR TWEAKS
  43. Below should be another copy of this checklist. Please make some tiny changes to that version of the checklist, preferably to things that have been stuck for a while that you might not otherwise have thought to change. Hopefully this will keep this strain fresh and interesting!
  44. [ MJ! ] SPRUCE UP
  45. Below should be another copy of this checklist. Please read through it once looking for any errors and perhaps making some small improvements. It may not seem especially important at the moment, but over the generations this does tend to greatly improve the quality of a strain.
  46. [ MJ! ] ARCHIVE
  47. Please copy all of the current text of this etherpad to a paste site such as http://pastebin.com and link here to this archive: http://pastebin.com/NRXXB0aG
  48. [ MJ! ] COPY
  49. Below should be another copy of this checklist. Please copy it TWICE into a new etherpad. At https://github.com/ether/etherpad-lite/wiki/Sites-that-run-Etherpad-Lite there should be a list of servers to consider using. The first copy will be this child's first active checklist, while the second copy will act as its genome (until it's activated in turn).
  50.
  51. Link here to this child: http://piratepad.be/p/DSgzwsIVXn
  52. [ MJ! ] CONSIDER POSSIBLE DIRECTIONS FOR THIS CHILD'S DEVELOPMENT
  53. Before choosing attributes for this child please write a few thoughts here about what uses it might be put to or what directions it might develop in.
  54. Mungojelly: Well I guess I'm going to keep adding things to it and see if I can make it even more ridiculously heavy or if it gets too baring to move. One good addition would be to elaborate that Copy step into the things I actually do: Make an etherpad and link to it, copy loop twice, remove authorship colors, write greeting in the middle of the intro thingy.
  55. [ MJ! ] CHOOSE THIS CHILD'S ASSOCIATED COLOR
  56. Please choose a hex code for a color (from the list of colors at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors for instance) to associate with this child, and list it at the top of its etherpad.
  57. Olivine #9AB973
  58. [ MJ! ] CHOOSE THIS CHILD'S ASSOCIATED NUMBER
  59. Please choose a number to associate with this child and list it at the top of its etherpad.
  60. 1017 it was hard to find a number that was unique with "olivine" O.o
  61. [ MJ! ] CHOOSE THIS CHILD'S PLANT MASCOT
  62. Please choose a species of plant as a mascot for this child and list it at the top of its etherpad.
  63. tulip
  64. [ MJ! ] GIVE THIS CHILD A UNIQUE NAME
  65. Please choose a unique name for this child by finding a mixture of its associated color, number and plant that gets zero hits on a search of the web. List this child's new name at the very top of its etherpad.
  66. olivine1017 almost except this http://gov.docdat.com/docs/3246/index-19313-2.html strange document
  67. [ MJ! ] GIVE THIS CHILD A SLOGAN

  79. [ MJ! ] LOOP
  80. Below should be another copy of this checklist. Please copy that whole clean checklist and paste it again below itself, so there's yet another copy for the next iteration to mutate. Then continue following the steps of the next copy of the checklist again from the beginning, so that this process continues in a gradually developing duplicating loop.

  112. [ mj ] SUGGESTIONS FOR THE MUTATORS
  113. Please make some vague general suggestions of how this process might be improved, just to give the mutators some ideas.
  114. Oh lordy well this has been resting so long it needs a going over making sure the things it references actually exist, and replacing or removing the ones that don't. Also mostly extragenetically I guess it needs some pools to flow through.
  115. [ mj ] SILLY SUGGESTIONS FOR THE MUTATORS
  116. Please make some ridiculous suggestions of ways to mutate this process that probably wouldn't actually work.
  117. Translate everything into Russian and back each step. Replace a random word somewhere with "bagel" each generation. Replace the names of the steps with various species of fish and only explain what to do in the fine print.
  118. [ mj ] CONSIDER MUTATIONS FROM GOOD MUTATIONS LIST
  119. Please consider whether any of the mutations on the good mutations list at http://evolvingprocesses.wikidot.com/good-mutations would be useful in this process as well.
  120. There's still not actually anything there. :/
  121. [ mj ] MUTATE
  122. Below should be another copy of this checklist. Please attempt to improve that version of the checklist somehow so future iterations of this process will be even more successful! These mutations will be passed on to new children of this process and depending on the success of this strain they might be copied many times, so you should maybe be a little careful about what you write.
  123. OK phew I did it. That was a bunch of work. I made a new pool on the wiki, I fixed a bunch of formatting, etc. I also added a Sleep step, since that's what's going on here lately.

  128. [ mj ] CONSIDER ADDING MUTATIONS TO GOOD MUTATIONS LIST
  129. Please consider whether any of the mutations that were just made to this process might be useful more broadly. If so, please add them to the list of good mutations at http://evolvingprocesses.wikidot.com/good-mutations
  130. ALRIGHT FiNE I guess since there's nothing on it. I'll copy over the Tweet step, yah. I also mutated it as I copied it to include #evolproc yay #evolproc
