  1. This is a proposed procedure to maximize the quality of the mango without /too many/ delays. It requires the cooperation of most, if not all forum members involved in the development, and since I'm sure it's not too difficult to come online and state some opinions every week or so, there's no real reason preventing most people from participating.
  2.
  3. [22:17:57] @ Darc : So, while I was bathing, I had an idea that while slightly slowing down a process would make the mango highly satisfactory in the end, if this plan is actually followed.
  4. [22:19:30] @ J : yes?
  5. [22:19:40] @ Darc : So, as I said in the thread, folks can provide story ideas and whatnot, okay?
  6. [22:20:07] @ Darc : Now, it doesn't matter if you're bad at spelling or your grammar is derpy at best.
  7. [22:20:30] @ Darc : So long as your idea is put forth in a comprehensible manner, it can be taken into consideration.
  8. [22:21:40] @ Darc : In the thread, after all these ideas are shared, everyone available states, via forum post, which idea they support, however it is an illegal vote to support oneself.
  9. [22:22:36] @ Darc : So even if I think that my idea's the bee's knees, since I can't vote for myself, I have to read everyone else's ideas with scrutiny to find what I prefer of other people's proposed story concepts.
  10. [22:23:32] @ Darc : This means that everyone's ideas has a fair chance to be voted for, and also will require voters to read all the ideas, making it heavy on weighing the pros and cons of all ideas.
  11. [22:24:37] @ Darc : After an idea is settled upon it, if it needs some fleshing out, it will be done in a group discussion, here in chat.
  12. [22:25:05] @ Darc : Man, my comma usage was awful there.
  13. [22:48:46] @ Darc : So yeah, if we can get multiple artists, there's two ways of using them that comes to mind.
  14. [22:48:57] @ Darc : We could...
  15. [22:49:37] @ Darc : 1) Have all available artists draw a sample from the democratically approved story idea.
  16. [22:50:02] @ Darc : This would yet again, lead to a voting phase in which we choose the artist for the chapter.
  17. [22:50:11] ThatOneAsian : IT'S FUCKING LIGHTNINGING AGAIN
  18. [22:51:35] @ Darc : 2) Have a sort of assembly line of artists. When one artist finishes their assigned task for the book, they pass the current images down to the next artist, and then they do their work, and so on so forth until it's done.
  19. [22:52:24] @ Darc : This plan allows for the most speed if applied efficiently, but has the downside of having multiple art styles, which has an obvious risk of awkward clashing.
  20. [22:52:35] @ Darc : Oh, and worked out another one.
  21. [22:53:17] @ Darc : 3) Artists take turns doing a chapter's worth of art each.
  22. [22:54:08] @ Darc : This evens out the workflow and gives everyone a fair chance to have their art displayed. The downside? While the art style isn't clashing on the pages now, they're clashing between books.
  23. [22:54:17] @ Darc : Or chapters. I dunno.
