  2. ANCHOR POINTS
  3. -
  4.
  5.
  6.
  7.
  8. For dates, I've decided on certain anchor points. For example, if you start the 2nd Scenario; "Anti Dong Zhuo Coalition", with the settings geared towards historical events you will, by doing nothing at all, have the event "Against Dong Zhuo" trigger in February of 190. These settings include "No" for "Killed" (in battle), "Historical" for "Appearing City", "Yes" for "Historical Event", and "Following History" for "Force Trend". The last two are of particular importance.
  9.
  10. The event "Battle of Hulao Gate" happens one month after "Against Dong Zhuo" so using the 2nd Scenario as our "Anchor Point", that event would occur in March of 190. Conversely, the event "Cao Cao Raises Troops" will allow "Against Dong Zhuo" to trigger one month later. As such, using this "Anchor Point" we can say that this event takes place in January of 190. Now, as you know, "Anti Dong Zhuo Coalition" starts in January of 190, and no such event takes place at that time. Despite that, I've decided to use "Anchor Points" to date all the scenarios, to give you an idea of how rapidly they will fire in a row.
  11.
  12. There are five main "Anchor Points"
  13. "Yellow Turban Rebellion" has a single one, that triggers on the first day, when the scenario is started, and is this unavoidable. This is the only time this happens. Any other instance of a scenario starting on the same date as a listed event simply means that the event in question comes late in the preceding scenario. I understand this may be somewhat confusing, but it seems to be the only way to properly show the timing of these events.
  14.
  15. The second is the scenario "Anti Dong Zhuo Coalition"
  16. There are 12 events anchored around this point; 4 of which occur prior to the start of the Scenario. The first anchored event is the Yellow Turban Subjugation, and the last is Sun Ce Marches
  17.
  18. The third is "Warlords"
  19. There are 5 events anchored around this point; 1 of which occur prior to the start of the Scenario. The first anchored event is Moving to Xu/Cao Cao's Rage, and the last is Liu Bei Abandons Xu
  20.
  21. The fourth is "The Battle of Guandu"
  22. There are 6 events anchored around this point; 1 of which occur prior to the start of the Scenario. The first anchored event is Guan Yu Surrenders, and the last is Resolution at Guandu
  23.
  24. The fifth and final is "The Three Visits"
  25. There are 9 events anchored around this point; none of which occur prior to the start of the Scenario. The first anchored event is The Three Visits, Act 1, and the last is the Battle of Jaingling

  37. #01 - Oath of the Peach Garden (Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei)
  38. February 184 (Anchor Point, 1st Scenario)
  39.
  40. This event creates the bonds between Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei. It can not be avoided, or changed, and there are no decisions to be made.
  41.
  42.
  43.
  44. #21 - Yellow Turban Subjugation (Zhang Jiao, He Jin)
  45. October 189 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  46. DECISION: He Jin gets a decision
  47. DECISION: Various lords get decisions
  48.
  49. He Jin decides whether or not he is going to grant governorships to everyone. In the real history of the Three Kingdoms, it is this decision which dooms the Han Dynasty, as it gave Governors the power to raise their own armies, and thus, become warlords.
  50.
  51. If He Jin decides against this, his force will continue on as powerful as it currently is. It also seems to disable the other events in this string, and since those events tend to set up for future events, it is quite possible this will be the last event you will see if you should decide against giving governorships. In short, this is what you want to do if you are playing as He Jin and desire to unify China.
  52.
  53. Interestingly, other lords also get decisions; those offered governorships. If you accept your Independence you play on as history intended, if not you serve Dong Zhuo and when Lu Bu revolts, WORK IN PROGRESS
  54.
  55.
  56.
  57. #22 - Emperor Ling Passes (He Jin)
  58. November 189 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  59.
  60. There are no decisions in this event that I've found. Emperor Ling desires his younger son, and the future Emperor Xian, to take the throne, but He Jin opposes this. This event sees Emperor Ling die, and Emperor Shao takes the throne.
  61.
  62.
  63.
  64. #23 Chaos in the Capital (He Jin)
  65. December 189 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  66.
  67. This decision will not fire if you are playing as either He Jin, or Ding Yuan, as both die in the event. There are no decisions in the event that I've found. This event sees Lu Bu join Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao kill the Eunuchs, and the Eunuchs kill He Jin.
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71. #13 Cao Cao Raises Troops (Cao Cao)
  72. January 190 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  73.
  74. This is the event where Cao Cao revolts against Dong Zhuo, who has taken over the 'central government' from He Jin. It also shows Cao Cao's failed assassination attempt on Dong Zhuo.
  75.
  76.
  77.
  78. #14 Against Dong Zhuo (Cao Cao, Yuan Shao)
  79. February 190 (Anchor Point, 2nd Scenario)
  80. DECISION: Many lords
  81.
  82. Cao Cao starts this event with a decision, send Yuan Shao CLARIFY
  83.
  84. Other lords can also decide to join in or not. If you go against history WORK IN PROGRESS
  85.
  86.
  87.
  88. #15 Battle of Hulao Gate (Lu Bu)
  89. March 190 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  90.
  91. No decisions found yet. Playing as Fang Yue or Hua Xiong will stop the event from being triggered, as they are both killed during this event.
  92.
  93. This event sees Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei fight Lu Bu.
  94.
  95.
  96.
  97. #24 Moving to Changan (Dong Zhuo)
  98. April 190 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  99. DECISION: Dong Zhuo
  100.
  101. Dong Zhou has an important decision here; weather or not to move the capital to Chang'an from Luoyang. Keeping it in Luoyang seems to nullify some events that happen shortly after, but may not stop all future events, especially for Liu Bei.
  102.
  103. In this event, should you choose to follow history, Dong Zhuo will burn Luoyang to the ground and move to Chang'an
  104.
  105.
  106.
  107. #16 Death of Sun Jian (Sun Jian)
  108. May 190 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  109. DECISION: Sun Jian
  110.
  111. Sun Jian can avoid being killed if he so wishes, otherwise an event involving Sun Ce, Yuan Shu, and Huang Zu plays out CLARIFY
  112.
  113.
  114.
  115. #25 Battle of Kuangting (Yuan Shu, Cao Cao)
  116. April 191 (when anchored from the 2nd Scenario)
  117.
  118. WORK IN PROGRESS
