Black Library Submission
Situation: On the planet of (insert planet here), a Splinter Fleet of Hive Fleet Leviathan has laid waste to the Imperial Guard and PDF.  Elements of the Adeptus Astartes have engaged the Great Devourer, but it is only a matter of time before the planet is lost.  Rumors of new Tyranid organisms have spread throughout the native population, and a Lone Deathwatch Team is deployed to investigate.

Characters:
Commander: Blood Angel with power sword and bolt pistol
Brother Marius, a ten year veteran of the Deathwatch.  He has been assigned a new squad after the deaths of his previous marines in another battle against this splinter fleet.  He seeks to redeem his honor and protect his squad.

Tactical Marine: Novamarine with combi-flamer
Brother Lectus Alba, headstrong young marine, joined the Deathwatch a year before and was assigned to Joran Harkane’s squad.  They formed a fast friendship, even though they came from different chapters.  They are known to finish each other’s battlecries, and work to protect each other in combat.

Brother Assault Marine: Crimson Fist with chainsword
Brother Joran Harkane is young like Alba, but fought in the reclamation of Rynn’s world, and thus understands what it means to lose Brothers in battle.  He considers himself the bulwark against the enemy, and would gladly take a bullet for his brothers.

Devestator: Space Wolf with Heavy Bolter
Soras All-Seer
Soras has reached the rank of Long Fang, and has completely abandoned the foolhardiness of his younger days.  He has served with the Deathwatch for eighteen years, and learned only a few months before that his whole pack had been killed in battle on a far off world, making him a Lone Wolf.  Hate has mulled within him, but he has struggled against his urge to return to his Chapter and avenge his fallen brothers

Apothecary: Raptor with storm bolter and chainsword
Brother Martin
Martin, like Soras, has none of the bravado of a young space marine.  Though he has only served in the Deathwatch for 3 years, and his chapter for a hundred, he is tempered and cold, valuing the mission about all else.  He is an expert in xenos biology and battlefield tactics, and has been censured repeatedly for lecturing his own commanding officers.
