  2. + DARK SOULS III +
  3. =======================
  4. SOUL LEVEL 6 DEPRIVED
  5. USURPATION OF FIRE
  6. "PERFECT" WALKTHROUGH
  7. -----------------------
  8. AUTHOR'S NOTE: This guide assumes that the player will explore thoroughly, and so does not document the location of every single item that can be easily purchased or earned via invasion later, such as Titanite, Mosses, or Embers. This also assumes the player wants the fullest story experience and the absolute maximum arsenal the game will allow, which means the player *will have to summon NPCs for some bosses* in order to fulfill story requirements or unlock NPC armor sets.
  9. =============================
  10. + OFFLINE COVENANTS FARMING +
  11. =============================
  12. To fully unlock all covenant items, you will need 30 of each covenant offering. They can be obtained either by farming rare drops from NPC enemies; alternatively, if online, invading (Rosaria's Fingers/Mound-makers/Warriors of Sunlight), defending locations (Watchdogs of Farron/Aldrich Faithful) or protecting the invaded (Blue Sentinels/Blades of the Darkmoon).
  13. ITEMS NEEDED
  14. -Crystal Sage's Rapier (transpose Soul of Crystal Sage)
  15. -Symbol of Avarice (Mimic rare drop)
  16. -Covetous Gold Serpent Ring (Siegward's dungeon cell)
  17. -Rusted Coin (Patches's store inventory)
  18. PALE TONGUE: Darkwraith (Farron Keep, near Farron Keep Perimeter bonfire)
  19. VERTEBRA SHACKLE: Carthus Swordsman Skeleton (spread throughout Catacombs of Carthus)

  21. HUMAN DREG: Devout of the Deep (Anor Londo, after Pontiff Sulyvahn bonfire)
  22. PROOF OF A CONCORD KEPT: Silver Knight (Anor Londo, near Anor Londo bonfire)
  23. SUNLIGHT MEDAL: Lothric Knight (spread throughout Lothric Castle [duh])
  24.

  44. ==========================
  45. + SURVIVING AS A LEVEL 6 +
  46. ==========================
  47. As a level 6 Deprived, you will be the ultimate early-game invader, capable of invading up to level 26ish players. Watchdogs of Farron will auto-invade continuously, Rosaria's Fingers and Mound-makers will invade within minutes of Red Orb activation. But you must be armed appropriately. Keeping in mind that invasions are affected both by Soul Level *and* your highest weapon upgrade level (this only cares about your highest-upgraded item, whether in storage or otherwise, weapon, staff, shield, anything that is used in combat), it's important not to upgrade your weapon past +3 for the initial invasions. If upgraded too far, you won't be able to invade early-game areas like Road of Sacrifices or Undead Settlement.
  48.
  49. ULTIMATE "TRUE" DEPRIVED EQUIPMENT:
  50. -Loincloth (given at beginning of game)
  51. -Master's Attire (Sword Master)
  52. -Master's Gloves (Sword Master)
  53. -Ragged Mask (*OPTIONAL*; in swamp to left of Farron Keep bonfire)
  54. -RIGHT HAND: Astora Straight Sword +3, "Raw" infusion (smithy room in High Wall of Lothric)
  55. -RIGHT HAND (SECONDARY): Light Crossbow +3 (optional, used sparingly for hanging corpse items and luring single enemies from groups; otherwise unequipped)
  56. -LEFT HAND: Caestus +3, "Simple" infusion (Undead Settlement sewer)
  57. -LEFT HAND (SECONDARY): Pyromancer's Flame +3 (for Carthus Flame Arc)
  58. -LEFT HAND (TERTIARY): Torch (optional, used *ONLY* for Cathedral of the Deep graveyard to remove maggot Bleeding effect; otherwise unequipped)
  59. -RING: Prisoner's Chain (Soul of Champion Gundyr transposition)
  60. -RING: Ring of Steel Protection (Archdragon Peak, on right side of Ancient Wyvern arena, near some pillars on a broken ledge)
  61. -RING: Lloyd's Sword Ring (on corpse near first giant in Cathedral of the Deep)
  62. -RING: Lloyd's Shield Ring (Shrine Handmaid, after given Paladin's Ashes [bottom of staircase near 'Cathedral of the Deep' bonfire])
  63. -SPELL: Carthus Flame Arc
  64.
  65. This does not mean you are limited to this equipment, particularly the armor, but the rings are among the best for your build. Because you are limited by your level, the Prisoner's Chain is a *massive* boon in early-game invasions. Suddenly, you're not a level 6 with 13 Vigor, 12 Faith (meaningless to your equipment except for meeting Astora Straight Sword requirements), and 10 in everything else—you're a level 6 with *18* Vigor, *15* Endurance, and *15* Vitality. Your health and equip load is increased by this one ring more than both a Life Ring and a Ring of Favor would give you, because they're percentage-based rather than flat attribute increases.
  66.
  67. Though the Prisoner's Chain increases your damage taken by 10%, the Ring of Steel Protection nullifies that by giving you back 10% physical damage absorption, and Lloyd's Shield Ring gives you an additional 25% damage absorption for the first hit you take; because your health is so low, every Estus (if you've been getting all Undead Bone Shards) you drink will restore your health to *max,* thus ensuring any major hit you take at max health will be significantly reduced.
  68.
  69. Because your goal is to keep your health maxed, you will also be benefiting from the 10% damage increase of the Lloyd's Sword Ring and outputting disturbing amounts of damage with nothing more than a Raw Astora Straight Sword, which is unusual for how well it scales with Raw infusion compared to other weapons [most likely, From designed it purposely for low-level Deprived builds like this].
  70.
  71. OTHER OPTIONS:
  72. -SHIELD: Silver Eagle Kite Shield (High Wall of Lothric, in chest)
  73. -RING: Flynn's Ring (Undead Settlement, after Demon fight)
  74. -RING: Hornet Ring (Dark Firelink)
  75. -RING: Carthus Milkring (Catacombs of Carthus)
  76. -ARMOR: Anything that doesn't take you over 69.9% equip load
  77.
  78. If you don't like not being able to equip at least one shield with 100% physical block, the Silver Eagle Kite Shield is your saving grace. With the lowest physical requirements of any 100% phys-block shields, you only need to sacrifice one level of Yoel's gift from Vigor to Strength (final changes: 12 Vigor, 11 Strength, 12 Faith), and you'll have a shield that can safely absorb full damage from purely-physical blows.
  79.
  80. As far as rings, Prisoner's Chain and Ring of Steel Protection are must-haves. They are critical to your survivability, so obtain them ASAP. Lloyd's Shield/Sword Rings can be replaced as you like, however.
  81.
  82. Another option, if you keep your armor limited to rags, is Flynn's Ring, which can increase attack by *UP TO* 15% based on your current *RAW WEIGHT* (*NOT* equip load percentage), granting 8~% flat damage increase around 10.0 weight. With this equipment set (minus Ragged Mask), you will be at 10.3 weight. Your attack power will drop from 235 (with Lloyd's Sword Ring) to 234 (with Flynn's Ring), but your damage will be consistent and not health-based.
  83.
  84. *Only if you are CONFIDENT in your parrying ability* should you use the Hornet Ring. If you're confident and able to land those parries on other players (or even NPC enemies) consistently, the Hornet Ring will grant a roughly 30+% damage increase on your ripostes, and can deal overconfident players a deathblow from the very start of the battle.
  85.
  86. If you do decide to wear more armor then mere rags, even if it's the shield, don't bother with Flynn's Ring, as it will be severely weakened by the excess weight. Keep to the Lloyd's rings, and make sure your equip load never exceeds 69.9% so you don't start fat-rolling.
  87.
  88. The Carthus Milkring is for extremely select circumstances: specifically, Irithyll Dungeon and its collection of soldering iron-wielding assholes. Because the Carthus Milkring grants invisibility when you roll, you can use it to break line of sight with the Jailers, whose haunting gaze otherwise decreases your already-meager max health. When their eyes start to glow, *IMMEDIATELY* begin rolling until you are behind them, then backstab them for critical damage and finish them off before they can get back up.
  89.
  90. The Ring of Favor may be tempting, but ignore its siren call. The health increase is minimal when you take away the Ember (and you will always be lacking Embers in dark spirit form), and the stamina increase (from 102 to 111 with Prisoner's Chain) might sound appealing, but the extra stamina will not give you even one additional stroke in your chain of attacks. Without the Ring of Favor, you will be able to do six normal swings of the sword. With the Ring of Favor... you will still only be able to do six normal swings of the sword. It's not worth the additional weight and loss of defense (if replacing a Lloyd's Shield) or the loss of attack power (if replacing a Flynn's, Hornet's, or Lloyd's Sword).
