  1. 'Critical reactor error.' These words flashed from every display in the bar and rang from every loudspeaker. The joy and cheer on Golah's face was instantly gone. In fact, that might be the first time Golah ever looked truly afraid. A datachron was immediately in Golah's hands, his fingers frantically tapping at it. "That not good. That very not good."
  2.
  3. A small shake rumbled through Grizmo. There had been plenty of explosions through the day, but this one was different. It came from below, as if the core of the city was rumbling. Golah immediately piped up. "Alright, have good news and bad news. Good news? We all theoretically not going to die. There is time and there is way to fix this." His face didn't look any less horrified.
  4.
  5. After a moment of hesitation and a visible wince, Golah speaks into his wrist, his voice echoing throughout the bar and spa. "Attention everyone. Listen very closely. Come to bar area if not already here. Not want to be pushy, but is slight matter of life and death. Not worry, everything theoretically under control, but kind of need everyone's help right the fuck now."
  6.
  7. Golah forces a smile. A big one. His teeth were clamped tightly together and his left eye twitched. "Hi! How everyone enjoying the party? That great. Look, we may have had teeny, tiny reactor failure. Is no big deal! Is...is absolutely fixable! Just have to take liiiiittle walk and make few simple fixes in Downtown power grid."
  8.
  9. Golah drops the act. "Look, unless you all plan on being incinerated on molecular level, we need get to Downtown. We have few hours, but might take that to work way down there with madness outside. Yes, we going have to go outside. In that hell. Golah gonna make this as safe as possible, but need all hands on deck. We either make this fix or Grizmo going be dust."
  10.
  11. "Now legally, Golah can't force you to do this. But all who feel like being heroes and saving Grizmo, innocent shoppers and own lives, follow Golah to main hallway. Anyone left can stay here and wallow in shame. And will not be invited to next party, let Golah tell you!"
  12.
  13. While Golah had been giving that little speech, a group of minions had carted out large racks of black rifles and armored vests which rested on both sides of the hall. Golah grabs a gun and puts on the vest. "Take gun, put on vest. Gun is standard issue securo-zapper. Non lethal, but blasts with electric, concussive shock. Can knock out most anything. Vest has shield generator and communications. Put both on and get in front of blast door."
  14.
  15. An ominous robotic voice speaks. /THREE MINUTES TO DOOR RELEASE/
  16.
  17. Golah sighs. "Not sure if any of you have ever been to war, but this going be lot like it. Customers out there are not in right minds. Prices may never be this low again, so this their one shot at getting all items of their dreams. Some very territorial about products they like, some out of money and willing to do anything to afford one last item, some scared and shellshocked, just trying to survive. But whoever you see out there, all fair game. If they not have a vest and blaster, assume they want to claw eyes out for savings. Probably do. Probably will. These guns not kill anyone. Just knock out and let them sleep off deals. Will feel better in morning when sale ends. Take no chances. Watch each others' backs. Golah...Golah proud to know all of you. Proud to have shared this amazing day with all of you." Golah sniffled. He knew this was going to end badly.
  18.
  19. /TWO MINUTES TO DOOR RELEASE/
  20.
  21. A chua in white robes wanders around the corner. He produces a book adorned with the image of two moons. "And to brave warriors, give blessings of moons. May Pago guide aim and may Pergo ease trigger. And yay, may moons guide brave souls through pits of dispair and past all tribulations. For those who die, grant swift passage to Pergo and Pago's presence. Comfort those who live, knowing dead have gone to better place. Bless these souls. These poor, stupid, doomed souls." He bows his head and wanders out of sight.
  22.
  23. /ONE MINUTE TO DOOR RELEASE/
  24.
  25. Golah nervously grips his gun. He looks back to his platoon of party guests, his eyes wild. "Stay close, stay mobile! If not have vest, put down! Golah...Golah love you all. We get through this. Together..."
