### Point Mail

I'm glad you made it this far.  If you did, it means there's a chance you'll take this approach too.

Two unavoidable facts about email:

- we're all drowning in it; and
- it's here to stay.

Why is it here to stay?

- everyone has an email; and
- everyone has each other's email.

The problem is the "mail" part.

When someone gets an email from another person they're not super familiar with, the obligation is always there to write a very short letter in reply.

This means:

- it's legnthy;
- it's easy to come across as rude when you're short; and
- people just don't reply and force their interlocutor to hassle them.
