  1. If there is one thing everybody can agree with, it's that America's public school system is far from perfect. However, what nobody seems to agree on is the exact solution. For years and years, different people have argued about the root cause and the ways in which it should be fixed. Some, like charter schools, would like to argue that teacher's unions lead to the problems in school. Others, such as private schools, may say that the problem is with the standardized testing. Teachers may argue that their pay is too low for the work they do, private companies may say that there is not good enough resources in the classroom, some students may say that school as a concept is bad and they would be better off at home.
  2. All of these beliefs are rooted in some form of truth, however none of these solutions alone will solve the problems that our schools are faced with. The truth is that the problems all stem from a multitude of sources, and there is no single right answer to making school perfect. However, there are solutions to helping to improve the way that our schools are working. The best solution would be to create a curriculum and classroom centering towards helping students to become critical thinkers, more engaged in class, and curious learners eager to go on and search to gain more knowledge even after school.
