  1. General rules:
  2. 1. Be respectful of others.
  3. 2. Pay attention to what the moderators say.
  4. 3. No racial slurs of any kind will be tolerated, including words derived from racial slurs.
  5. 4. Avoid using the terms shemale, transvestite, dickgirl, ladyboy, or similar terms which are generally considered derogatory. Even if you identify as such, most people consider them to be derogatory terms. Proper terms are trans, transgender, transgirl, transwoman.
  6. 5. The moderators have no control over what is said in personal messages, if someone sends you an unwanted message just ignore it. There may be exceptions to this rule in extreme cases.
  7. 6. If you feel a moderator is not behaving properly, please send me, Kuri, a personal message using: /msg Kuri MessageHere.
  8.
  9. Moderator rules:
  10. 1. Do not play favorites, treat everyone equally.
  11. 2. Do not instant ban anyone, unless they are just spamming the channel. If they are behaving inappropriately, you should give them at least one (possibly more) warnings in chat, if they continue then kick them, if they still continue then ban them.
  12. 3. Do not add anyone to the auto-op or auto-halfop lists, without my permission. However, if you are an op and you see a halfop is obusing their powers, you may remove them from the auto-halfop list and then remove their halfop status.
  13. 4. If someone is ban evading, please inform me. If necessary set +m mode on the channel; however, you will have to manually voice all the other users in order for them to chat, and be sure to -m the channel when the offender is gone.
  14. 5. A proper ban should be in the following form. If the offender's name, host, hash, and address are: name!host@hash.address.net then the bans should be: *!*@hash.address.net for example: Jim!Mibbit@mib-AOEU1234.cable.virgin.net would be banned through *!*@mib-AOEU1234.cable.virgin.net . This ensures that they cannot simply change their name or client to escape the ban.
  15. 6. You must have been active in the chat for a minimum of 6 months before being considered for a position as a moderator.
