  3. It was new, the box had just been opened. There it was, a new way to connect. Yet it wasn't like today, you couldn't be with someone just by a single click. There were no microphones, or voice addressing sticks. Headphones couldn't plug in, and memory was stored on a separate device. To play together would split the screen, and hope it was large enough to suffice. It was the days when one had to take a bike to a friends, and only needed one copy to begin. You had James Bond, and Banjo, Mario Kart, and Starfox. You could play hardcore as Jaws, or cheat as Oddjob. You listened to Slippy yell out your name, and Pepper give you advice. You had Falco insult you, with things that weren't so nice. You had perfect dark, but your parents forgot the rumble pak, so you stared at it, cause you couldn't do jack. It was a time when you had to be face to face, at one another's place. For it was another time for gaming galore, when it was the brand new Nintendo 64.
