Boat Scouts

<CounterBeard> Last time on Rider Scouts! A run in with a rogue rotomdozer, Rock has met with a potenial Rival! The Knight Errant Aeros, of Triface! It is the morning before you all head to ReefTown! Rock and Tentra wake up in the Pokemoncenter. Alexei is woken up by the cooing of pidoves in the park and Savage...Where is Savage?
<Savage> Ah.  @_@
* Rock glances at the clock.
<CounterBeard> He went off on his own last night and never touched base.
<CounterBeard> "Piiiiii~" The little birds sit on and around Alexei, this Sinnoh man is rather comfy.
<CounterBeard> The time is 8AM.
<Savage> Savage is totally already waiting at the docks, after having woken up extra early.
<Rock> "WE'RE LATE!"
* Rock grabs his things and SPRINTS TO THE DOCKS
<Tentra> Tentra rubs her eyes wearily, putting the egg away. "huuh?" she slowly gathers her things...
<Rock> "SAVAGE! Where's the ferry?
<Tentra> She is a bit slower and relaxed then Rock is, but hurries along...sorta
* Alexei wakes up and blinks. "Hello bird. Good morning. Do you want drink?" He fishes out a bottle of vodka from in his coat and offers it toward the pidoves.
<CounterBeard> The pidoves coo again and one of the braver ones sticks its head into the flask.
<CounterBeard> The ferry is down the way. A man leaning against the wheelhouse looks rather bored.
<Rock> "Alright! Ferry to Reeftown, right?"
<Alexei> "Smart bird is drink glorious vodka import from Sinnoh. Is best way for start morning."
<Savage> "I asked him to wait.  And why're you so eager to leave everyone else behind, anyway?"
<CounterBeard> "Ayeup."
<Rock> "Ah... sorry. I thought we were late."
* Alexei looks around, making sure his pokemon are all there. He's not afraid of anyone having stolen anything - it's not like he has money.
<CounterBeard> The bird make muffled coos. And then chirps. And ohgodisitstuck?
* Rock grabs his Pokedex and yells at the Pokedex. "ALEXEI! TENTRA! TO THE DOCKS! We're already late!"
* Alexei totally doesn't get that. "Ah, you are enjoy vodka very much!" he tilts the flask back slowly, dragging the bird's head with it and probably drenching the thing in booze.
<Tentra> "so...we're not late," she yawns, noticing...AEGIS is glued to her arm, sorta, whereever the hand moves, it moves, like a shield.
<Tentra> "Why are you yelling we're right here.." she rubs her ears.
* Savage is lazing on the dock, legs over the edge and staring out over the water.  It's surprisingly relaxed and pensive for him.
<CounterBeard> The pidove is indeed drenched with booze. And sits there pitiful cooing and looking up at you Alexei.
<Rock> "Anyways, we're going to use the rest of Tip's money to pay for the ferry, right?"
<CounterBeard> (I love how you guys are taking her monies as you please. =3)
<Tentra> She shrugs, hands over the envelope.  It contains... 1550 pokedollars.
<Alexei> "Does bird want more booze? Pokedex device is bother me right now, so would prefer drink booze with companion instead of answer!"
<Tentra> (well to be fair it's not really her money. :3c)
<Rock> "Alright." Rock takes... about a thousand and pays the ferryman. "That's enough for four, right?"
<CounterBeard> The man takes his time counting the money as he gives you all a once over. "Yeh, only see three though." The pidove at this point waddles away from Alexei, it half jump half flutters to a bird bath to get clean.
<Rock> "Yeah, the fourth one is coming."
<Alexei> "Hmph, am not understand why bird is not want make conversation. Maybe have no choice but go find silly hooligan Rock and others." Alexei gets up and downs some booze, then gives a last look at the pidoves before walking off to the docks.
<CounterBeard> "Ah gotcha."
* Rock looks at his new knife, staring at it. Ooh it's sharp now. Wonder what it does...
<CounterBeard> You are fairly sure you just need to try it out to really take its measure.
* Rock starts at the Unown.
* Rock stares back at his knife. "Oh, wait, taht's hers" he mutters.
<CounterBeard> "Arright well I'm leavin' soon. Already behind schedyal a bit."
* Alexei arrives at the docks reeking of booze. "Sorry team for keep wait! Was share conversation with bird over bit of drink!"
<Tentra> Tentra was too sleepy to notice, but not AEGIS.  It's watching, always watching.
* Rock gets Alexei and grabs him in the boat. "THERE'S FOUR!"
* Savage by comparison takes his time getting up, stretching, and heading onto the boat compared to Rock who seems to be panicking.
* Rock then proceeds to bash the Pidove around with the knife he has on him.

<Rock> (Oh. I thought it was stuck to the bottle.)
<CounterBeard> (Nah alexei pulled it out.)
<Rock> (Alright.)
<Rock> Or not. Must be dreaming it up. He puts the knife away and slumps on a seat.
<CounterBeard> "Alright folks feel free to mill about or take a seat." The man unrigs the boat and makes for open waters. "So what you folks lookin' to do in Reef?
<Rock> "...look for someone. You got any fishing gear? I haven't eaten breakfast yet."
<Alexei> "We are make glorious pokemon league. Reef is next place for make gym!"
<CounterBeard> "Oh I see I see. Thought you were off to go pay respects to the Loire's. Nah, no tackler or gear here. Not enough off time."
<Tentra> Tentra stands near the edge of the boat, hanging onto the side, just watching the waves move by.  "Also, we are interested in the legend about the reef being a giant Corsola."
<Rock> "Got any string at least?"
<Alexei> "Real man is drink alcohol for breakfast." Alexei finds a seat on deck to chill in.
<CounterBeard> "Psh, thats just some legend girl. Sure we have some of the worlds largest Corsolas but nothin that big. And only string I got in on my boots buddy. Sorry. I know there is a tackle shop in twon if you are interested."
<Rock> "..." Rock is a bit pissed off, but looks at the GPS to see their progress on the trip.
<Tentra> "Who are...the Loires?"
* Savage manages to look a little smug.  He was up early enough to eat.  Still, he's watching the water go buy from a spot at the edge of the boat, so nobody really notices probably.
<CounterBeard> The man turns around and openly stares at you Tentra. "You gotta be kiddin me. The Loires? Founders of Reeftown more or less. Set up the PidgyPost? Largest shipping company in the country? Just look up. Closer we get to town the more you'll see. S'only about another thirty miles or so."
<CounterBeard> Savage you think you can see little shapes in the water but you are unsure.
<Tentra> Tentra shrugs. "We aren't from around here." It's easier then the actual story.
* Rock takes out Biter. "Hey, Biter."
<Savage> "Hmmm~" He leans over the boat a little bit.  And then in a moment of uncharacteristic brilliance he gets an idea.  "Hey, maybe we -can- go fishing~"
<CounterBeard> <Whats up?> =D
<Rock> "Can you see if you can lift some fish off to the boat for me? I'm pretty hungry."
<Tentra> Tentra looks to Savage, confused.
<CounterBeard> <Oh sure, I can try!>
<CounterBeard> Biter waddles over next to Savage <Hey Uncle!>
* Alexei releases Niko and Stolichnaya into the water to let them swim alongside the boat. Gin simply rests on his shoulder and sips from his flask.
<CounterBeard> Stoli and Niko swim along. It seems Stoli is chilling on Niko's neck as he swims. Niko does the swimming Stoli the zapping of offending otherfishes.
<Savage> Savage mutters some instructions to Tessy, who skitters along Savage's arm and makes a quick, firm little web between Savage's fingers to hold onto - and then it's spiderfishing time, dangling a line down further and further into the water.
<Savage> "Morning, little guy~!"
<CounterBeard> Biter makes the attempt to lift up some fishes <Hng. I wonder what sorta fish these are...> and a little Magikarp and remoraid float out of the water. The remoraid is tangled in Tessy's web.
* Alexei laughs at his pokemons' shenanigans. "Ah, they are not even need great general of Sinnoh for learn special tactics!"
<Rock> me slashes the Magikarp. Man, he's hungry.

<CounterBeard> The poor little fish is sliced in twain. Not a whole lot of meat on it sadly. Looks rather more like just scales and bone.
<Rock> "..."
<CounterBeard> But you did get two level 5 water materials out of it
* Rock throws the corpse back in the water, seeing if that'll attract any bigger fishes.
<Savage> "Ah, you wanted breakfast, right Rock?" Savage takes hold of Tessy and the line, and pulls back sharply to pull up the fish.  "Here we go!"
<Rock> (Haha nice try. Not spending a daily use on that.)
<CounterBeard> <uuuh..What do I do with this guy. He is a little confused....>
<Rock> "..."
<Rock> "...hm..."
* Rock also makes a nice cut... with his sword.

<CounterBeard> Savage is too busy debating the philosophy of spiderfishing with Rock and Tentra is too busy thinking of her dreams. But Alexei. He saw it. Well. Them really. A whole flock of pidgys, winguls, spearows, and even a pelliper. All heading the same direction as you.
<Alexei> "Oh no so many bird! Bird at park must have told friends and now they are here for take my vodka!" Alexei clutches his flask tightly.
* Rock is too busy fileting the Remoraid to care.
<Tentra> "...Alexi, what are you - oh."
<Tentra> "That's a lot of birds."
<CounterBeard> (With the knife or with sord?)
<Rock> With the knife.
<CounterBeard> "Ayeup. Pidgy Post, the hub for it is in town."
<CounterBeard> You get 2 level 10 Water Materials!
<Rock> TWO?
<CounterBeard> Two
<Rock> (That's enough to make a Water Bow!)
* Rock smiles as he gets TWO usable materials. "...I should make a new bow sometime."
<CounterBeard> You can all see the reef coming into view. And by the reef I mean the reef the town sits on. You can even spy a few ittybitty teenytiny corsola in the waters.
<Savage> "Oh wow~" Savage's eyes light up.  "That's so cool~!"
<Tentra> "Oh...the town, was built upon the reef. huh."
* Rock looks over the side, eating the raw filet. He also has given the other to Biter, if he wants it... man, he could go for a Fire type right now.
* Alexei nods his approval. "I am hope gym candidate is as fabulous as town is."
<Alexei> (also ding ding ding 100 seen)
<Rock> (YES!)
<CounterBeard> Biter chows down on the fillet.
<Tentra> (D: Hidden Upgrade time.)
<CounterBeard> brb
<Rock> Hm... Weapons Designer, or a Weapon Master feat.
<Savage> (In during Savage is now Extra Awesome)
<Alexei> (I think I'll just bank an elemental sync for later)
<Rock> (?)
<Savage> (I'm sure cast already knows what I said I was gonna take this level :3c )
<Alexei> (yuppppp)
<Alexei> (dear god why do we have to be on a boat when this happens)
<Rock> (Alright. Passing Blade I shall get.)
<Tentra> (hnnng LANCE the trident or SPEAR the halberd, hmmm)
<Rock> (Second use of Finisher GET!)
<Tentra> (ooo LANCE it is just thought of something nifty for fluffing it)
<CounterBeard> SOrry about that guys. My dog is old and frail. ;-;
<Rock> It's fine.
<Tentra> do you need to take em to the vets, or is she okay?
<CounterBeard> She has stopped and she is just sorta laying there.
<Rock> ...is she okay?
<CounterBeard> I think so. I am going to call game short after you guys reach Reeftown though to make sure.
<Rock> Alright.
<Alexei> Yeah, that sounds like the best plan. Take her to the vet.
<Tentra> mhm
<Rock> Agreed.
<CounterBeard> The reef is fairly shallow as you get closer to town, the closer you get the larger the coroslas. You can even see one the size of a fully grown rapidash swimming in the water. The other major feature...All the damn flying types. They litter the skies and the roof tops. A fearow even has the gall to perch on the railing.
<CounterBeard> It seems to be wearing a little aviator hat and has a satchel around its neck.
<Tentra> "huh, curious."
<Rock> "..." Rock was so totally going to do it, but after seeing the hat and satchel, meh. Not that one. He simply waits to get to the town, already tinkering with his new scales and that Bascullin fin from earlier.
<Alexei> "....That is such fabulous piece of coral." Alexei gapes at the giant corsola. "I am want it."
<Rock> (Seems I'm going to have to sit out the rest of the day. Fey mood and all that.)
<Savage> "?" Savage pulls the web out of his hand as Tessy skitters back into his pocket oh god big scary flying types.  "Oh, hey, there's Pokemon all over the place out here~" Poor Savage is surrounded by his weakness types here, aww.
<Alexei> (man, should I have Alexei dive into the water and try to forcibly befriend the giant corsola?)
<Tentra> (why does this make entirely too much sense.)
<CounterBeard> The boat docks and the man nods to you all. The corsola is just chillan in the water. Welcome to Reef Town~
* Alexei takes off his military jacket, sets his flask, pokedex and other pocket items on a table next to Gin, then jumps into the water. "Niko, we are grab fabulous coral today!"
<Alexei> (and that should probably be resolved next time >_>)
<Tentra> (not gonna lie, that's a pretty hilarious stopping point.)
<Rock> (Next time!)
