Trading notes

These notes encompass modus operandi for trades and purchases, answers to common questions, and various courtesies I will extend and expect.  The contents of this document do not fit in the biography space of some marketplaces I am member to, and it is also easier to update this central document.

Unless otherwise noted on the listing:
	listed condition describes only the game media (e.g., a disc in poor condition with a pristine case is listed as poor, while a disc in pristine condition with a broken case is listed as excellent);
	condition is almost always under-graded (e.g. a 99% pristine disc with a couple of scratches is generally listed one notch below "perfect");
	a case marked included is the correct case for the platform and contains the original cover art;
	games are NTSC region encoded;
	games have been played thoroughly on my system and are in working order;
	all vendor stickers, security devices, markings, leftover glue, etc. are removed with solvents;
	case interior and exterior and label-side of the disc(s) are cleaned with Clorox wipes;
	readable-side of the disc(s) are cleaned with eyeglass lens cleaner;
	all redeemable codes have been used and/or will not be included (e.g. online passes, preorder bonuses, XBLG trials);
	all extras otherwise in the box are removed and are not included (e.g. posters, game maps, ads for future games).

If all else is equal then feedback score determines the sending order.  This can mean that e.g. a new user that I have chosen to purchase from must send their game before I pay for it.  Scarlet letters such as BTRs (even past deleted ones) means I will never send first.  In GTZ's case, the community owner seems involved enough where frivolous BTRs would get expunged so I don't believe that a trivial problem would result in that report remaining there.

I do not propose or agree to arrangements where I purchase without the capacity to pay at the time of the offer.  The amount I propose, or have agreed to pay, is in my possession and specifically earmarked for that purpose until it is either sent to you or the trade is declined or expires.  There will be no excuses from me about not being able to pay promptly for an item when a trade is accepted.

Information is my demand and my courtesy for any transactions.  When it's my turn to ship (when I see the pending trade in the morning, receive an email that the trade was accepted, etc.), I purchase postage directly from USPS and you get the tracking number before the package is even assembled.  I will give you a timeframe of when the package will actually be dropped into a postbox or given to a postal clerk (usually the following morning, but sometimes the same day), and I will post again after the package has been physically mailed.  From you, the absolute minimum to keep me happy is sharing the tracking number and letting me know of any delay that exceeds one business day when you must take action.  Anything sent without tracking, or not posting the tracking number for my use, will always lose you feedback rating when the trade completes even if absolutely nothing went wrong.  Non-communicated delays exceeding one business day will cause me to accost you for information.

It is not my intention to trade/sell defective items that are not explicitly listed as such.  Any item of mine that arrives in an unexpected defective state will prompt a 100% reversal of the transaction.  I will detail all the items that were included in the original ship and pay return shipping once, so any subsequent return ships from "forgotten items" like discs or manuals become your responsibility.  If the transaction was a purchase, I will pay for return shipping on my item then refund your total purchase price (including shipping) once I get it back; if the transaction was a trade, I will pay return shipping on both your item and mine, then refund the cost you incurred shipping your item initially once I receive my item back.  No other arrangements under this circumstance are acceptable.  Keeping my item or otherwise trying to be a scamster (retaining possession of the disc but sending the case back, et al.) will prompt me to report your actions as fraudulent and I will not refund your investment in the trade.  This policy applies for a period of 7 days following the confirmed delivery date of the shipping service.  I personally test received games the same day, so I feel one week to notice a defect is a significant grace period.
