Amber and Maple 15

>You are now Amber
>You are on a train towards Canterlot where the other wounded ponies are staying
>You were taken to Ponyville as requested in your official documents
>In case you got hurt, you wanted to be somewhere, where Maple could easily see you
>You are sitting on the train with penitence
>Repenting for something that you believe you did
>That's when you descried Canterlot in the distance
>You planned on meeting with Shining Armor after talking to your ponies
>You probably won't be much help, since you don't remember that much, but you have to give a description anyway
>You check the clock in the front of the train
>You notice that it is around you and Maple's lunch break
>You can just imagine Maple spilling all of her emotions to Twilight
>That will be you in a few hours
>Should you tell Twilight what happened with Dash?
>She's pretty trust worthy and she won't tell a soul
>You think about the situation that faces you in the future as your train pulls into the Canterlot train Station
>Once leaving the train you are meted by Shining Armor and two Royal guards
>As always, you salute Shining Armor and the guards
>"Glad to see you made it safely Amber"
>He speaks in a monotone voice
>He sounds dejected
>Not like how he usually speaks
"Good to see you again Shining"
>"You too...I just wish it was under better circumstance"
>Shining helped train you during your time in basic bootcamp
>He was an old military buddy
>Of course, he was a much higher rank than you
>But you still enjoy seeing him from time to time
>"Well, we should go"
"Oh, I was gonna meet with my soldiers in the hospital first"
>"I suppose that's fine. Do you want company?"
>You chuckle
"I'll be fine. I'll meet you at the base in about an hour"
>You are walking to the Canterlot hospital
>You are now dressed in your Military colors
>You have you aviators on your head and your new, green jacket on
>The Royal Military symbol stitched into the sleeve
>Your wound is fully noticeable though
>You can see the stitches on your hip
>On the way you pass many shops and restaurants
>You stop at your favorite coffee shop in town
>The older Stallion behind the counter recognizes you
>"Oh Amber! What a pleasant surprise! Please tell me, what are you doing back in Canterlot?"
"Hey Rod. Nice to see you too. I have some military stuff to take care of"
>"I see. I'm guessing you heard about the smugglers. Such sad news"
>He takes off his hat and holds it near his heart
>He closes his eyes
>"Such a shame...They were so young."
>He puts his hat back on his head
>"Well, I'm sorry for glooming things up. What can I get for you?"
>Your eye catches the poster for a Maple flavored coffee
>You think of Maple and smile
"Hmm...I'll have a Maple Syrup Madness Latte"
>"Ahh. The Maple syrup latte is one of my best sellers. We add Syrup flavoring and drip natural Maple syrup all over the foam on the top. It's to die for. I make one up for you right now"
>You take a seat at a table outside
>While waiting, you get a few "Thanks for serving" and "Celestia bless you" by passing by ponies
>A few fillies run by
>"HI Miss Soldier"
>You look down to the blonde colored colt standing next to you
>He is probably around the age of Scootaloo and those girls
>His friends are a few yards behind him
"Hey there. What's up?"
>"Um, me and my friends were wondering if you can answer a few questions for us?"
"Sure, but I'm afraid after my coffee is ready, I'll have to go"
>"Don't worry. It's only a few questions"
"Fire away"
>"Okay, um, how did you get that thing on your hip"
>He points to your stitches
"That?"
>You smile
"I got that in battle a few days ago"
>"Did it hurt?"
>He looks at you curiously
"I don't really remember. All I remember was seeing the ponies, the I remember falling down, but that's it"
>He is closely paying attention to what you are saying
>He yells back to his friends
>"She was hurt in battle!"
>He practically yells it out in the middle of the city
>Ponies turn there heads and look at you
"Shhh...Don't be so loud"
>"Oh, sorry"
>"Amber! Your latte is ready"
"Sorry kid, but I have to go"
>"Just one more question!"
>You motion Rod to put the coffee on the counter
"Last one kid"
>"Have you ever killed a pony?"
>What a question to ask to a soldier
>Well, you can't be too mad
>You were a filly once too
>You look sternly at him
"Yes...I have killed a pony"
>He looks at you with awe
>"Wh-what was it like"
"Well, I didn't want to do it, but I do what I have to to keep my ponies safe...Let's just put it that it's not something you wanna do. Life is special, and when you take someones life, you erase everything they were, everything the will be, and everything they are. But, the way I saw it, it was them or us...and it had to be us, so we did what we had to do"
>He looks amazed
>And stunned
>He doesn't say anything to you, he just stares at you
"Well, I hope that answered most of your questions"
>He nods his head
>"Th-thank you very much for answering my questions Miss"
>You get up and fetch your drink from the counter
>You go to pay Rod
>"No, no, no. It's on the house"
>You smile
"Thanks man, I owe you one"
>You wave goodbye to him and the fillies and start to walk towards the hospital
>Holding the coffee in your wing, you sip while you walk
>You don't know how earth ponies can function
>Sure they were much stronger, but how do you hold stuff
>Unicorns have magic
>And pegasi have wings, which can practically act like a hand
>It legitimately confuses you
>Oh well, you'll probably ask Louise later

>As you come up, you finish your coffee and throw it out

>You open the doors and see Royal Guards, guarding the hallways
>You give them a proper salute and walk to the nurse
>Before you speak, you take off your glasses and put them in your jacket pocket
"Excuse me miss, but do you know where the soldiers are located?"
>"I'm not sure at the moment, but you could ask the guards, they've been here all day"
>You sign your name on the visitors pad
"Thank you"
>You walk to the Guardsmen
"Hey boys, where can I find my ponies?"
>A brown colored one speaks up
>"They are in the courtyard, would you like me to escort you to them?"
>You look at the guard
>He is much bigger than you
>He's solid like a rock
>A fit soldier
>Kind of cute too
"No thanks...Actually, could you show me?"
>"Yes Ma'am"
>The strong stallion escorts you to the courtyard
>"Here we are Ma'am. If theres anything I can do, just call me over:
"What's your name, soldier?"
>"I'm Metal Jacket Ma'am"
I know it's a stupid name, but my mind can't come up with anything else
"Thank you. I'll see you around Metal"
