- Spider and Paladin
- Day 0
- My sight finally comes to me, yet I can see little through the thin visor of my helmet. I look up to see the moon at it's peek, the movement of it alone alone is painful. Last time I was conscious it must have been about time for supper. I was trekking through the forest in search of a foul beast that has been making nest near the local village. As I went further in, the thin mist became fog, concealing the large hole that I plunged through. Unfortunately, my armour provided little protection against the fall. Despite the pain in the back of my head, the left of my chest, and my left leg throbing, I somehow managed to pass out.
- I woke to the obscured sight of the cavern I fell into. The moon has moved forward once more, meaning only an hour should've passed. My helmet, breastplate, and left legging have been removed. In their place were bandages and splints. Who would've went through the trouble without taking me somewhere else, somewhere warm at least. Could it, or they, not lift me? Could've it been fairies? Children? I felt myself going unconscience again. I fight desperately to stay awake, but every movement I make pains me to no end. As I close my eyes, I hear someone in the distance. "Mama! Mama! He's over here!"
- Day 1
- Warmth. Such a welcome feeling has come over me. I look around to see that i'm inside what apears to be someone's home. I think im laying on a futon of sorts, and I honestly have to say it's very comfortable. The shelves and walls are strewn with various arts and crafts. All of them seem to be made of the same fabric, one would suspect their creator to have made this very comfy futon. I test my body to see if I can move, but a sharp pain tells me otherwise. I just hope i'm still able to speak, I wish to thank my host for saving me. Wait, I hear something... Footsteps? My caretaker, err, caretakers must be checking up on me. There must be four of them coming down at once for some reason. The door in front of me opens with a creek, and the head of a small child peeks in. She sports medium length silver hair that covers her eyes.
- "M-M-Mister"?
- With some effort, I speak. "Y-Yes?"
- "Ah!" She retreats behind the door. Then I begin to hear what sounds like four more people walking into the room.
- "Lace! I told you not to bother him."
- "B-but hes awake..."
- "Ahh I see." The door swings open to reveal my caretaker. I am speechless, simply utterly beyond speechless and quite honestly a bit scared. I see the body of a woman no less than beautiful, with long moonlight hair and engorged breasts barely covered by a fine blouse, which is atop an eight legged beast. It was an Arachne!
- If it weren't for the fact that I was bedridden and injured I would've throttled that beast with all of my might. Why couldn't she have eaten me like the townsfolk said that she would! Not only am I unable to fight back due to my injuries, i'm literally at her mercy, subjected to her every whim! One can only imagine the horrors she will inflict on me! An almost foul-like smile forms across her lips. "Is everything to your liking?" I had to applaud her acting, because literally if I didn't know any better i'd say that she was concerned about me. She skitters closer, I yelp in protest. ''nngh...."
- "I have to replace the bandages before you get infected. ~Stay still~".
- She pulls away the blanket to reveal my half naked body. The first bandage to go is the one on my torso. Her dexerous hands and front legs work in tandem to get it off. Despite her shifting my body, there is seemingly little pain. She carefully starts replaces the bandage and splint, and then moves onto my head. She gently raises my head up, giving me an eyeful of her bosom, cleverly tempting me. She leaves me an extra pillow when she starts to move toward my leg. It is now at this point that I'am fully subjected to her whims. The spider half of her body is large, speaking from what i've seen of an Arachne. Her abdomen seems larger than normal and is covered in thin black fur for the rest of her "spider half". It is a hard contrast to her creamy skin, which is visable from her exposed middrift, in between her very short violet blouse and the dark violet skirt covering her nether. She finishes the bandage on my leg, and crawls up closer to my face.
- "There. Feeling better"?
- "Eghh..."
- "He he, thats wonderful, i'll leave the door open then. Don't worry the kids wont bother you." Kids? In plural?
- "Just grunt if you need anything". she says as she leaves. I can't be sure if she could tell that I despised her and her kind, most likely because I knew maintaining an angry expression would've been too tiresome. It would be best just to accept my fate for now. I've already been humiliated by falling into that hole, might as well live to redeem myself. I hear the skittering of two little ones, two different ones from the one their mother called Lace. One had plain, short hair and the other had her bangs hairclipped to the top of her head along with a small ponytail. They were carrying a tray with a sandwich and a drink to me. "Mama said you had to eat, so we made you this" the other one piped up. "Good night mister knight." After I had eaten and drank what they had given me, I slowly began to fall into a deep slumber.
- Day 2
- I woke up today, or perhaps tonight since I haven't seen daylight anywhere in this house. Since the house is inhabited by spiders I could very well be underground for all I know. The woman was in front of me, looking at me with that smile on her face that she had first shown me the other day.
- "Feeling any better today"? I shifted myself and grunted before I spoke to her.
- "I would like to be alone, thank you." My recovery shows progress; speaking my mind no longer pains me. The she-beast puffs her checks out and frowns.
- "If you wish, I'll make you some breakfast for later."
- She says as she leaves. After thirty minutes, I come to realise that time stretches when you aren't fading in and out of conscious. After a while the spider woman came back
- "Here you go, Mister Knight".
- She places a tray that fits over my body as I laid in bed. It contained pancakes and an assortment of fruit, a seemingly pleasant breakfast. I decided to take a bite. Surprisingly enough it doesn't taste funny pancake wise, so I took another. All in all it was a fine breakfast. The woman comes back to clean up.
- "So did you like it"? She said smiling at me
- I mantain a solemn expression across my face.
- "Well you must have. There's nothing left of it."
- Said said smiling at me again. Well she wasn't wrong about that.
- "Well, I'll just ausume you want to be alone." She is just heading out past the door when I speak up. "Wait"!
- "Hinn"?
- ".... What is your name"?
- A small smile beams on her face and her cheeks blush.
- "The name's Charlotte, might I inquire about yours"?
- For a moment I paused, and then spoke
- "Sir Langley. That's my name".
- "Well nice to finally meet you, Sir Laghnley".
- She said before she went out the door, giving me a subtle wink as she left. I find myself alone yet again. I contemplate what my repayment is going to be when i'm back in shape. Perhaps use my body to pleasure her? Should I even consider repaying her at all? My years as a paladin for the order say no, but even before being a paladin, I am first and formost a man of honor who would never dream of rejecting such kindness, even from a foul monster of all things.
- Was it one hour, or two that passed? It is impossible to tell without the sun or the moon guiding me. Im not tired enough to sleep and I find myself yearning for whatever conversation I can get. I hear a light skittering coming to my room, must one of Charolette's children. This one has long hair, must be the same one that greeted me yesterday. She is digging through a nearby cubert, and pulls out a spool of thread. "Lace, is it?"
- She squeaks and freezes in place, I must have startled her.
- "Is everything alright"? I hear her quietly mumble something in return.
- "Excuse me?" She turns around, her lip is quivering, a hushed reply comes "I-I'm sorry, mister, I'm sorry I woke you up..."
- "You've done no such thing. Please, come closer so I can hear you child".
- Now normally would never let any sort of monster near me, but since I'am bored right now, I might as well entertain myself. She is hesitent, but she must see no threat from me. She comes over to my right side and seats herself, and i'm able to get an actual look at her. Her moonlight hair covers what I can aussume to be all six eyes. She is wearing a very small but fitting sweater. Unlike her mother, but like her two other sisters, her lower body is hairless, white, and almost translusent. She fidgets her fingers and legs nervously. "Do you mind talking to an older man, child?"
- "...No..."
- "Alright." For a second, I ponder a topic of conversation.
- "Were you the one who found me when I had fallen"?
- "No, that was Pin".
- "Ahh I see then. So what is your other sister's name then"?
- "Which one"? She says still fidgeting a bit.
- "I'm sorry, could you repeat that child"?
- "Which one of my sisters"?
- "You do have two other sisters right"?
- "No, I have seven."
- Seven?! Are they all as quiet as Lace here? I haven't heard a thing in the house since I began my stay.
- "It must be nice to have a big family don't you think"? I said, giving a little smile toward her.
- "...N-Not all of the time."
- "Hmnn. They annoy you sometimes"?
- Lace thinks for a moment, then nods.
- "Yeah, that would make sense. I suppose I envy you just a bit, I honestly never had much of a family."
- "Were you an orphan?"
- "No, not an orphan, just very small. It was me, my father, and my two uncles."
- "What about your mother?"
- "Never knew her, my father didn't talk about her, even to his grave."
- My expression must have dulled a bit, as Lace noticed something then gingerly put her hand on my arm.
- "It's okay, I never knew my father either."
- "Has your mother ever talked about him?"
- "No." we both take a solemn
- "Do you miss her"? Lace suddenly says
- "Who"?
- "Your mommy".
- "How would you miss someone you never met"?
- "I don't know, it just feels like it".
- There's silence for a few moments, neither of us know what to say at all. Suddenly the door opens wide. It's Charlotte, with a tray of supper. "Lace isn't bothering you is she"?
- "Quite the opposite actually. We were just chatting".
- "Oh thats good, supper is ready Lace." Lace nods, and skitters away. Charlotte comes and places the tray over me. "Its nice that your getting aquainted with my daughters".
- "Well, she is very nice".
- "Yes, they are all so precious. Not just to me, but to the rest of the dwellers here too. So just to be clear, don't even think about harming any of them."
- "Wait what? Why would I--"
- She leans in close to my face, her voice suddenly getting darker and harsher.
- "Did you really think I was stupid"?
- I don't know what she is alluding too, yet the words fail to come to me. She she continues to speak with that dark tone.
- "I know you're from that order. I know those townsfolk sent you here for something, and honestly the reason for it doesn't interest me, but whatever it is, once your back on your feet, you are going back to that town, and you are going to tell them that there is nothing in these woods." S
- he pulls back from my face "~Are we clear?~" I am too stunned for words, so I just nod. "Good, ~I'll see you tomorrow!~"
