Gau, Phillop, Lakrak, Kaulah, Epis, Selene, Maria, Miruru, Lorraine, Rephy, Dimael, Reina, Pavel, Demia, Naila, Rodina, Morrah, Baudouin, Pavel, Jane, Aisha, Leo, Fluss, Luna, Laias, Arch, and Nyx.

I want to go physical:

Crowd Control (CC): Naila or Miruru. Naila is the reccomended choice for PVE while Miruru leans more towards PVP. There's Gau, Lakkrak and Kasel too for other CC options if you hate cute girls.
Healer: Frey then work on getting Mediana and NPC Juno. Laias works too if you're dickpicking but Mediana is better for a Physical team.
Tank: Use Clause then replace later with Glenwys or Loman. Phillop is great for physical teams too and worth getting.
DPS: The Selene you get for free or dickpick a physical DPS of your choice
Reccomended starter DPS characters that aren't Selene are Rodina, Reina, Roi, Lilia. If you need AOE DPS then Erze is your girl.

Example team ideas:

Elf team
Selene (DPS), Naila (CC), Clause (Tank), Frey (Healer)
This team uses only uses the 3* ticket obtained from story and leaves you three tickets to use on whatever you wish. Gives you a lot of freedom and space to dickpick but requires you to wait a while for you to get Selene from login.

Tight teen dragon team
Lilia (DPS), Naila (CC), Clause, Frey (Healer)
This team uses the CH9 ticket to pick Lilia and a 3* ticket obtained from story to get Naila. If you use the 2* ticket to get Miruru then you can have a complete team on your first day of playing and still have the option to replace Miruru with Naila later on if you wish.

Other physical teams
Replace Lilia in the above team with a DPS of your choice if you want someone else or missed the CH9 ticket and it should work exactly the same. You only need one DPS character and only have the resources to invest on one DPS character early on so make sure that DPS character is someone you really like because you'll be investing everything you have on trying to make them good. If you picked a DPS that isn't Selene then just let her rot in your box because you won't need more than one main DPS or have the resources to invest on them if you're starting.


I want to go magical

Crowd Control (CC): Viska, Lorraine, Maria. Lorraine and Viska seem like the two most popular choices
Healers: Frey, Rephy, Annette or Laias. Annette requires Transcendence 3-5 and her 3rd Unique treasure to really shine so if you get her then you might end up using Frey until she's invested enough to switch to. The NPC you want to get is May so start working on her
Tank: Jane or Neraxis
DPS: Mirianne or dickpick a magical DPS of your choice
Reccomended starter DPS characters that arent Mirianne are Epis, Laudia, Aisha, Seria, Luna, Kara, Lewisia. Artemia and Cleo do a great job of being your AOE characters.

Example team ideas:

Human Maid team
Mirrianne (DPS), Lorraine (CC), Jane (Tank), Frey (Healer)
You get Mirrianne on your first day of login, proceed to get Lorraine with your 2* ticket and grab Jane later on with the story 3* ticket using Clause in the meantime. This leaves you the CH9 ticket open to pick someone of your choosing so you can opt to not pick Lorraine and go with Viska for CC or take Annette later from your 5* team who is vital for magic teams.

Golem Maid team
Kara (DPS), Lorraine (CC), Jane (Tank), Frey (Healer)
This uses the starter CH9 ticket to get Kara, the 2* ticket to take Lorraine and the story 3* ticket. You only have the 5* ticket left over which should be going to Annette due to her importance in a magic team and can switch to her after she's invested on.

Other magic teams
The general strategy is to replace Clause with a magical tank like Jane (3* ticket) or Neraxis (CH9 ticket) for the tank role, get Lorraine from the 2* ticket or Viska from the CH9 ticket for CC and get Annette with the last day 5* ticket. The DPS slot is a blank card because you can use anyone you wish there but your starting team choices become more limited depending on who you pick unless you want to wait to get the missing hero you wanted from the inn. You only need one DPS character and only have the resources to invest on one DPS character early on so make sure that DPS character is someone you really like because you'll be investing everything you have on trying to make them good. If you picked a DPS that isn't Mirrianne then just let her rot in your box because you won't need more than one main DPS or have the resources to invest on them if you're starting.

I can't decide between Physical and magic, should I pick both?
DO NOT MIX PHYSICAL AND MAGIC FOR YOUR STARTING TEAM. DO. NOT. Most people that have trouble advancing in the game tend to have made the mistake of going both physical and magic at the same time then get fucked for it so seriously don't.
Decide on your DPS first or an unit you really like and then proceed to build a party around them. After you picked a solid team of four then you can dickpick anyone you want even if they're magic and you're physical as long as you don't make the mistake of investing in them because all resources should be going to the main 4 you picked to be able to clear content.

Is it worth buying a hero with rubies at the start?
Its generally not reccomended but if you're going to main them and invest on them as your DPS of choice to carry you through the game then it could be worth it
