  1. Setting:
  2.
  3. It's been 38 years since Andrew Hussie, notorious webcomic author, took over the world with the help of his rabid fanbase and a few mad scientists. Since then the world has changed. Children are expected to be raised in certain ways, and have a VARIETY of HOBBIES and INTERESTS; Walks to the store are plagued with RANDOM ENCOUNTERS, for which each person is equipped with STRIFE SPECIBUS to keep safe; and parents who are not sufficiently dysfunctional or quirky are sent to rehabilitation camps to make them so. All of this could have been avoided if that damn comic didn't get this popular. Fuckin' tumblr.
  4.
  5. List of Important Terms:
  6.
  7. SBURB - An extra-dimensional game from the webcomic Homestuck, written by the now Overlord Hussnasty.
  8.
  9. Consort - A lizard person who inhabits a Land. They are the “natural” inhabitants of each world, whereas the Denizens often represent a foreign or artificial force.
  10.
  11. Denizen - The Master of each land. Their goals and alignments vary.
  12.
  13. Modus / Modii - An inventory system that was invented a few years after the founding of Hussie’s Empire. It mimics how Modii worked in the comic, but they’re not exactly the same.
  14.
  15. Strife Specibus - A second inventory used to store weaponry of a certain kind. Denominations include needle-kind, sword-kind, or even megaphone-kind.
  16.
  17. Captchalogue (card) - Physical manifestations of inventory slots. Could not be replicated by the Empire.
  18.
  19. “Land” - A Land is the realm each player starts off in. Lands contain consorts and a denizen, and is the home of some kind of conflict the abducted player is tasked with resolving.
  20.
  21. Title/Class/Aspect/Classpect - Each player is also known to their consorts by a certain title, which is a rough description of what powers they are expected to obtain and how they use them. For some reason they seem to always be monosyllabic. (Lord of Time, Mage of Soul)
  22.
  23. Grist - A material that comes in many types used for alchemy.
  24.
  25. Alchemy - An item creation system that uses Grist. The most common way to perform alchemy is to mix two or more items, though it does get a bit more complex than that.
  26.
  27. The Story So Far:
  28.
  29. There are six major characters thus far in the comic.
  30.
  31. quizzicalGuardsman - Travis Gallows - A young boy who’s just turned 14. His hobbies include pretty much anything /tg/ related, as well as illegal tampering with Modii. Travis has a not-so-happy past that he tries his hardest not to dwell on, instead he uses his free time to focus on his hobbies, where he is invariably drawn to anything that lets him play a paladin.
  32.
  33. Travis and his father were abducted into SBRUB on the day of his 14th birthday. Messaging the other players and only growing more confused, he ventures into his land. His first day wasn’t terribly productive, as he was attacked by a powerful monster that wiped out a consort tribe that took him in. Finding his way back home via a magical pillar, he waited a day before trying again. He now leads a small army after taking the crown of a forgotten goddess named “The Martyr of Scales”.
  34.
  35. 420Pumpkin - Kristen Donovan - A young girl who’s soon to turn 15. Her hobby is botany. She seems to have a no nonsense attitude towards things, and figures out problems quite quickly. When we last left her, she wandered into the Land of Wax and Fog, found a temple of intricately carved wood, and, upon eating a mysterious fruit, was turned into a tree.
  36.
  37. ProblemSolver - Gaia Soulle - A young girl who is 14, though “shark” is a better word for her. She’s a businesswoman first, ruthless combatant second. We last left her at her Land, which is currently unnamed. She began farming grist so she may begin alchemy.
  38.
  39. senny01 - Erich Fatchett - A young boy who is infatuated with lying. At 14 years old, he is a promising actor, though he squanders his talent by pretending to be a little girl on the internet for kicks. Claims to be a free spirit, a great comedian, and legendary prankster, though you don’t know how much of that is true. When we last left him, he had taken a spill in a desert, landing him in the center of an Antlion hive.
  40.
  41. Grasshopper - Jamie Yu - A young girl of the age of 14. She’s a fan of martial arts in all forms, fictional and nonfictional. In her room hangs posters of Bruce Lee next to Goku, Chuck Norris next to Kenshiro. We last left her off adventuring her land, The Land of Pulse and Aether.
  42.
  43. Og Tupac - An alien assigned to oversee this session. He’s spent a tenth of his allowed auxiliary power to manipulate Travis’ Denizen into attacking him once. Generally he gets bored fairly often and likes to change perspectives. Though, he has to admit, he’s taken a specific liking towards Travis, surviving a Denizen assault on your first day is quite impressive.
