  553. To be honest, I find it somewhat unlikely that the AI was designed with that purpose alone in mind. When I asked in the second thread the nature of the AI, I received two responses, one which, as you stated, said the AI was to keep the governments alive, and another, if I recall, stated it was essentially managing the cat's cradle as a whole.

  555. However, in the time-traveller thread from a few months ago that I keep mentioning, the AI mentioned in said thread was essentially controlling the world governments, which worshiped it as a kind of 'god'.

  557. This leads me to believe one of two things.

  559. One. The AI fulfills both functions, went rogue, and caused the looping phenomenon to maintain that kind of control over the cradle.

  561. Two, and hear me out here, I know I'm uninformed, but… Perhaps there are two AIs. One which was designed to manage the cradle, and the other which, may have been in the cradle initially to manage the governments, or arrived later. The second AI, in this scenario, somehow interfered with the first AI, breaking it and causing the looping phenomenon.

  623. There's all sorts of AI out there, mainly they supply media to control the construct the governments wish to provide along with the private sector companies that setup the original infrastructure to feed 'control mechanisms' into the cat's cradle.
