  1. Dear Matt,
  2.
  3. I write to outline my interest in the QA position at Ubisoft Toronto you recently made me aware of. I believe it is the perfect opportunity for me to take my first leap into the video games industry. Ubisoft is the most innovative and creative video game developer and has inspired me throughout my entire life.

  5. At around eight years old I invested countless hours in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’s Palace exploring its puzzles and secrets. This was when my young mind first realised that video games are not conjured by wizards but crafted by people like me. Since then I have strived to deconstruct and analyse the games which I play in order to challenge my knowledge of design, my attention to detail and my patience. I have participated in several alpha and beta tests covering many different genres.

  7. When I ran out of games to study I began creating my own and in recent years have created and collaborated on more than ten titles. While writing this I was sent a request for a French library to display my paper-based FPS game, Dungen [star], for the public to play. It embodies the genre-defying design approach I am most intrigued by, which is in a similar vein to your recent project Grow Home. Video game development is my passion and to work at Ubisoft Toronto, alongside people who share my quest for creation, would be an honour.
  8.
  9. I have attached my updated resume for your consideration. Thank you for you time, I hope I can help your studio continue to inspire people the world over.
  10.
  11. Yours sincerely,
  12.
  13. James Wood
