  1. While opposition to SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, and NDAA is an extremely important issue for the 2012 elections, selecting a candidate is a very complex process. There are manty politicians who may oppose all these bills and still be completely unsuitable for office. Anonymous and Occupy should rise above such divisive wedge issues and promote true citizen candidates who will fight for the PEOPLE while opposing the 1%.
  2.
  3. Tragically, there is a notion among supporters of Anonymous and Occupy that voting will make no difference. This cynical point of view would be understandable if it wasn't for recent technological advances in Internet accessibility and Social Media.
  4.
  5. This is the reason for the founding of the @GREATCOLLECTIVE, a movement which is born of the same decentralized and anarchic structure as Occupy and Anonymous. The Great Collective is the collective of collectives, the network of social networks, and the ultimate manifestation of the voice of the PEOPLE.
  6.
  7. While the purpose of this idea is to promote and elect citizen candidates, it is not a political party. The concept of the Great Collective is the selection of candidates through direct consensus. Redditors will upvote, Tweeters will retweet, and Facebookers will like. Very soon, there will no longer be a need for Democrats OR Republicans, but only qualified and upstanding citizens for LIBERTY!
  8.
  9. We do not pretend we can destroy such massively entrenched tyranny overnight. We may start small, as Occupy did, but with time we WILL prove that we ARE the 99% and we absolutely do RUN THIS!
  10.
  11. In conjunction with @AnonPAC, the GREAT COLLECTIVE intends to use all possible vectors of social media to promote and fund citizen candidates who have no connections with corporate power. With the help of Occupy and Anonymous, the GREAT COLLECTIVE *will* smite partisan politics and utterly DESTROY the hegemony of the 1%.
  12.
  13. We are Anonymous
  14. We are Occupy
  15. We are Reddit
  16. We are Twitter
  17. We are Facebook
  18. WE ARE LEGION
  19. Expect us in 2012
