I previously moderated for a tiny bit during the summer on my friend's French faction server. He sadly had to shut it down due to the server costs and time. I was known for my kindness towards each players on the server. I was acting nicely and wasn't giving other players a feeling of which I am superior upon them.

I dont know if its extremely appropriate to write it here but im gonna do it anyways, I moderated for 2 months and roughly 2 weeks on a popular Minecraft network, I know how things work out when you are staff and what to do and what not to do. (Avicus)

I think all the players on both the network and the faction server appreciate me because I think im someone fun and interesting to talk to. Always available for them.


Why do you believe you should be a moderator for Avicus?:
I think I should be a moderator on Avicus because im someone extremely friendly and fun to talk with, whether its on Skype or on TeamSpeak. I don't think anyone hates me or anyone will ever hate me.

I also can speak roughly three languages,  which are, English , French and Spanish.  Im extremely fluent when It comes to speaking french and english. My native language is french.   I can read texts and write in Spanish pretty easily, but I cannot speak it very well unfortunately, mainly due to the accent.

Im someone who is both active in-game and on the forums. If you don't see me online, im probably studying or playing hockey. These are the only reasons im not playing.


How would you benefit the Avicus staff team?:
I strongly think I would benefit the staff because I can speak french. I don't think anyone currently on Staff can speak it. It might not look like it but a lot of people on the server can speak french. They are simply not doing it, since everyone is speaking english in chat.

Having someone, at least one staff member, speaking a different language would be extremely smart and strategic. We would have access to a larger amount of players, for the forums part and the in-game part.

</Story> I had to deal with about three persons in game in french during my time on the staff team. They were insulting other players in french.


If a player is using a hacked client on the server what in your opinion would be the most appropriate punishment?:
I would first of ask staff members to come check him, if im not sure that he is actually hacking. I don't want to take chances or make any mistakes. And if its positive and another staff member confirms that he has hacks, I would have a look  at his infractions on his forums profile immediately.

If it's his first time hacking, a 3 days temp ban would be appropriate, but of course before that, I would tell him to not hack again.

If it's his second time hacking... ban, hacking is not forgivable and if we want to keep a nice community going and growing strong, we need to get rid of the hackers.


If a player is swearing and being abusive on the server what in your opinion would be the most appropriate punishment?:
I would tell him either ; Watch the language, No swearing, Language, No cussing.

For the first cursed word he says, that I witness.
Now, if he continues swearing, I would check his infractions on his forum profile and see if it's his first time actually swearing.

If it is, only a kick would be enough (Either for: Language, Swearing, Cussing).

If its his second time, temp ban for 1 day.

Up to 7 days, after that, ban.


If a player is team griefing or team spleefing on the server what in your opinion would be the most appropriate punishment?:
Same goes for someone who is spleefing as if it was swearing, being abusive or mean to other players except the punishment would be less "agressive". Like I would start with low punishments, and increase it slowly... If he does it again and again.

I would check his infractions to see if its the first time he spleefs someone.
Depending on his amount of infractions for spleefing, I would punish him the same way as if he was swearing, except in hours because spleefing isn't as bad as insulting someone or being mean to other players.

First time, kick
Second time, 1 hour tb, up to 3 hours
After 3 small punishments, I punish in days.

Fourth time, temp ban for a day.
Fifth time, 2 days, up to 4 days.

I don't think banning players for spleefing is extremely necessary, just increase the punishment, he will stop unless he is stupid and out of his mind.


Do you have the ability to record video?
Yes, I have a cracked version of ScreenFlow for Mac. Works fine, but Im planning on buying the full version to get the updates.


Do you own a microphone and have access to TeamSpeak  and Skype?:
Yes, Yes and Yes


Is there anything else that will benefit your application?:
Not really except the fact that I have an extremely good jugement in-game and in real life.
But I think I can change a thing or two...

I wasn't the best moderator ,I mean, we are all humans... and humans make mistakes.
But we can surely adapt and try to fix those mistakes... Try to become better persons...

Im willing and determined to become a better mod and person by changing a few things.

Im going to,

- Be much more active on Team Speak
- Act/Talk much more maturely on Staff chat in-game and on Skype
- Take much more reports on the forums
- Don't speak like an 8 year old on the forums

           I know I did at times, and it's not because I am not mature,
           It's because acting derpy gives you the friendly and nice guy look.
           Lets say for exemple in real life, you see this extremely serious guy
           in your class, he never laughs and makes jokes. You wouldn't be
           extremely "attired" by him...
