  1. The advanced planet of Graanavir, home to a singular sentient species known as the Frunziir, is a sparkling jewel of civilization. Although much of the planet's original lush forestry and rolling fields is now preserved in small but beautiful parks, the majority of the planet's surface is covered in gleaming, modern tech, with high white towers and walkways and intricate architecture.
  2.
  3. Graanavir itself is roughly the same size as Earth, with three mid-sized oceans. The planet is not divided into countries, moreover the countries it used to consist of made peace and merged into one large, bustling Utopia that gave up its name to match the identity of the planet itself.
  4.
  5. The Frunziir are a mid-height centaur-like species whose skintone ranges from a mottled greyish blue all the way through to a grungey mid-green. Despite a certain scaled look to their hides, they are considered moderately attractive by most of the rest of the universe; they have facial features similar to humans, but also have bony back-swept ridges that grow out of their facial structure and cover some of their hair. These ridges vary in shape, style and positioning depending on cultural background. Their four legs end in splayed toes, well suited for gripping awkward surfaces, although the Frunziir typically dress to cover much of their bare skin, except their faces and their upper back. Like humans, they have males and females, and give birth to live young.

  7. The Frunziir came from a very strict feudal system of law and loyalty, many thousands of years ago, but as aforementioned, the various clans made peace, and indeed peace has ruled on Graanavir for over 20,000 years. There are myriads of different religions, but they are largely content to co-exist without conflict. Graanavir is often held up as an example of how a planet ought to be.
  8.
  9. Their law system is quite similar to Earth, with a few key exceptions; all high positions of office on the planet, including judges, are staffed by random members of the population, who hold the post for the equivalent of six Earth months. Each citizen will hold a position of some importance at least three times in their long lifespan, and in the meantime will focus on self-improvement and working in whatever job sector they are assigned, based on their skills. Every citizen is educated thoroughly in the laws and processes of the planet from a young age, and visitors are given a short, intensive study program to follow. This means that when crimes and misdemeanors come to court, they are tried by a panel of entirely neutral, well informed individuals, all of whom are well-compensated for doing a thorough job.
  10.
  11. Crime is present on the planet, mainly in the illegal trade of exotic animals, weapon imports and secret ownership of slaves. Drugs, prostitution and gambling are all legal on Graanavir and closely monitored, but the initially mentioned crimes most definitely are not.
  12.
  13. Yui would be studying at the Azaarn Institute of Higher Education, alongside other visiting aliens and many Frunziir students. During her time there, she may learn much about the long and proud history of Frunziir culture, the complexities of beam weaponry (something the race is particular accomplished in) and the intricacies of the Frunziir legal system. Her IEP rep on Graanavir is a middle-aged human man called Hector Alderton, a greying, amiable Texan who, like Minty, loved his new planet so much he decided to stay on.
  14.
  15. The food is fairly pleasant, the people are largely helpful and well-educated, and Graanavir itself appears to be functioning well as a Utopia!
