  1. RAIDING IN WoD
  2. I have been thinking about raiding in the new expansion. We are a social raiding guild but I would really like to make the most of our raids and down the final boss on Mythic before the end of the expansion this time. There are a few common sense rules we should always observe which would waste less time forming up and between tries. We need to make the most of raid time to practice and progress. We fell way behind other guilds during SoO and I don't want that to happen again.
  3. 1. Watch the relevant videos before you sign up. If you are a tactile, hands
  4. on learner please do some practise runs in LFR and let an officer know
  5. so we can give you more help.
  6. 2. Make sure your char can pull it's own weight. If you are undergeared,
  7. don't come and expect to be boosted. You can do LFR, join openraid
  8. etc to gear up a bit or join the alt run for awhile. Main guild runs are for mains only, please don't ask to come on an alt, join the alt run instead.
  9. 3. Sign tentative if there is a chance you may not make it on time and let
  10. an officer know if you need to leave before the end.
  11. 4. Don't join if you are tired or unwell and can't concentrate. This is now all
  12. flexible raiding, so don't fill a spot if you aren't contributing. If you die time and again to the same ability, be it from lag, your graphics or whatever, please leave until you have sorted it out. Be sensible and think of the best interests of the whole team.
  13. 5. Be on time and ready to go at the appointed time.
  14. 6. Have flasks, potions and food prepared.
  15. 7. Be fully gemmed, enchanted and repaired beforehand.
  16. 8. Don't talk after the ready check unless you notice something is wrong.
  17. 9. Release quickly after a wipe, eat up and get ready to go again.
  18. 10.Wait for the half time break for bios, and don't AFK during raid, it's
  19. unfair to waste everyone else's raid time. Leave for a while if you need
  20. to go do something important.
  21. 11.If you join half way through, please be outside the entrance and ready
  22. for the invite. We waste a lot of time waiting for people to get in.
  23. 12.Listen to instructions on vent and make sure you can hear vent during
  24. the fight. Turn your wow sound down and your vent sound up. Ask if
  25. you don't understand a mechanic, otherwise we will just keep wiping.
  26. 13.Loot rules are need for main spec, greed for off spec. Share the loot
  27. evenly and don't be a loot whore. If you have had 1 piece then greed
  28. or pass on the next one. The better geared the raid is as a whole, the
  29. more chance we have of downing bosses and getting even more loot smile emoticon
  30. Raid schedule will probably be;
  31. Progress runs on Weds, Fri and Sun
  32. Full guild run, mains only on Thurs and Sat
  33. Alt run (plus undergeared and people who missed the main run) on Tues.
  34. If you aren't on the invite list, but you feel ready to raid, let an officer know and we will see about adding you.
  35. Our guild has always has pride in the fact that we help others and work together as a team. By doing this we can be succesful and we all win. At the end of the day raiding is supposed to be fun, but it's not if we are getting annoyed by loot whoring, AFKing and people making avoidable mistakes time after time. And as always, I welcome any suggestions you may have.
