  1. What are the Selection tools in Photoshop?¬¬¬
  2. The Selection tools (Rectangular Marquee Tool, Lasso Tool and Quick Selection Tool) are tools in Photoshop which allow you to select certain part of the image.
  3. What does each tool do?
  4. Each Selection tool works differently. The Rectangular Marquee Tool allows you to select a part of an image with a square, while Lasso Tool allows you to make a random shape to select until you reach the start point, and the Quick Selection Tool lets you select an enclosed area very quickly.
  5. Why do we use Selection tools in Photoshop?
  6. Once an area is selected, you can copy the selected area and paste it to another spot, or to duplicate a drawing or colour on the current photo. You can even use the selection tool to draw in a certain area without going out of bound, like you want to colour in a square but can’t remember the shape tool (for example) you could select a part of the image with Rectangular Marquee Tool, and then use the paint bucket in the selected area.
