  1. (00:56:25) %Aerolite: please only use the CP (explicit image) BR when the post is accompanied by an image featuring actual, concrete child pornography
  2. (00:56:35) %Aerolite: otherwise, use CP (request or link)
  3. (00:56:50) +sixtus: okay
  4. (00:57:30) %Aerolite: or for clothed children, child models
  5. (00:57:32) +scrubadour: "actual concrete" means exposed genetalia?
  6. (00:57:50) %Aerolite: pornography usually means nudity
  7. (00:58:04) %Aerolite: clothed children doing sexually explicit poses would be child models
  8.
  9. Here it falls under dost failure.
  10.
  11. (01:31:12) ~moots: where is AoC
  12. (01:31:16) +BluRay: lol
  13. (01:31:28) ~moots: AoC you're always lurking where are you
  14. (01:31:37) %Aerolite: i think he went to sleep
  15. (01:31:40) +BluRay: bed IIRC
  16. (01:31:53) %WalterWhite: i thought he took a break
  17. (01:31:56) %WalterWhite: or something
  18. (01:32:19) ~moots: he does that once a month
  19. (01:32:27) ~moots: don't worry, he's here forever
  20. (01:32:39) ~moots: i should send him a framed poster of that
  21. (01:32:52) ~moots: i'm making global 3 available to you all again
  22. (01:32:58) ~moots: but might break it up
  23. (01:33:32) +BluRay: buzzes
  24. (01:33:36) +BluRay: huzzah
  25. (01:33:51) +BluRay: eff off autocorrect
  26. (01:34:06) ~moots: i would still prefer people not overuse it
  27. (01:34:44) +scrubadour: thank you based moot
  28. (01:34:50) Failhouse: cuz it spams the ban req or its just not that big of an offence
  29. (01:35:06) ~moots: both
  30. (01:35:11) Failhouse: mmkay
  31. (01:35:12) ~moots: more ban reqs = slower they get filled
  32. (01:35:20) ~moots: and generally that crap can just be deleted
  33. (01:35:38) ~moots: i think making banned posts public was a big help
  34. (01:36:38) Failhouse: i think it gets the message out that something is actually being done
  35.
  36. (01:37:03) +Volphied370: would someone please remove those two sound threads? Or are they allowed now?
  37. (01:37:16) +Bloom: what board?
  38. (01:37:26) +Volphied370: https://boards.4chan.org/v/res/175600631
  39. (01:37:29) +Volphied370: https://boards.4chan.org/v/res/175593602
  40. (01:37:40) Failhouse: wtf are these?
  41. [...]
  42. (01:42:31) +scrubadour: started way back when on /b/ when someone realized that .jpg and .rar were both compatible filetypes in that the way the file was structured meant you could put one in the "comment" section of the other
  43. (01:42:50) +scrubadour: and depending on what extension you called the file, that's what it would open as
  44. (01:43:24) +scrubadour: then 4chan started scanning the first part of a file for a tag that defined the start of a .rar and rejected the file as an embedded archive
  45. (01:43:35) +scrubadour: you could get around it by padding the file, though
  46. (01:44:46) +scrubadour: the .rars on /b/ used to be used for posting e-books on "lithursday" and also CP and rickrolls
  47. (01:45:10) Failhouse: i mean we could always put userscripts on the wordfilter? moots
  48. (01:45:56) ~moots: it's a cat and mouse game i don't have time to devote to right now
  49. (01:46:08) ~moots: they're against the rules and you can delete them
  50. (01:46:11) ~moots: we've made our wishes crystal clear
  51. (01:46:36) Failhouse: ok
  52.
  53. (10:29:38) +andonuts: http://www.twitch.tv/faceittv/
  54. (10:32:49) +andonuts: RIP that Quake thread.
  55. (10:33:59) +andonuts: Who just handed out a ban for that Quake tournament thread?
  56. (10:34:05) +andonuts: Would you consider unbanning the OP?
  57. (10:34:58) +andonuts: https://archive.foolz.us/v/thread/175650602/
  58. (10:35:02) +andonuts: Was the thread.
  59.
  60. (16:29:24) SerWind: Any policy on spoilers not spoiled?
  61. (16:31:16) %RapeApe: what board? /a/ has a specific rule, but i don't think other boards do
  62. (16:31:22) SerWind: /vg/
  63. (16:31:32) %RapeApe: there's no rule
  64. (16:31:41) %RapeApe: so leave it
  65. (16:31:44) SerWind: Seems like a cunt thing to do though
  66. (16:31:46) SerWind: Alright
  67.
  68. (20:39:48) JamesIha: i would really like a worksafe /b/
  69. [...]
  70. (20:40:16) SerWind: /v/
  71. (20:40:30) +AoC: I sense that most people do, or at least a slow, more accessible /b/. /v/ filled that niche, but we keep doing our best to change that
  72. (20:40:43) +Sange: They need some sort of topic/direction or they'll just end up like /r9k/ again, AoC
  73. (20:41:46) +AoC: actually why not? Userbase determined for itself that it wanted a whinny board, they turned it into that. What would happen if /r10k/ is instated?
  74.
  75. This is how you get the board going to crap.
  76.
  77. (20:49:09) +RighteousBison: Hey sooo, are there dedicated janitors for /q/ or is it just a board a handful of moderators look after whenever necessary?
  78. (20:49:32) +AoC: no janitors in /q/, even the global ones
  79. (20:49:42) +scrubadour: wowza
  80. (20:49:56) +scrubadour: apparently a lot of people think it's /b/
  81. (20:50:07) +RighteousBison: It's been getting a lot of weird spam lately, like there's a thread up right now about donating to teens addicted to drugs. On /q/. The 4chan discussion board.
  82.
  83. (20:53:11) SerWind: 4chan is /b/ with boards like /b/ where you sometimes also talk about other things
  84. [...]
  85. (20:53:16) SerWind: probably the average user mentality
  86.
  87. (21:01:01) +AoC: moots could you please ask desuwa to add archive redirection to the janitor/mod tools
  88. (21:01:12) %RapeApe: >implying
  89. (21:01:27) +AoC: since we have so much 404 in our lifes and whatnot
  90. (21:07:52) ~moots: no
  91. (21:07:55) ~moots: we don't link out, period
  92. (21:07:58) ~moots: and i hate archives
  93. [...]
  94. (21:11:10) +AoC: I still believe the usefulness would outweigh any issues, besides it wouldn't be for regular users just for us. But if that's what you think, fair enough, we can always try and use 4chanX
  95. (21:11:23) +AoC: even though I personally hate it
  96.
  97. This reminds me how Null was mentioning moe's search engine and he envisions something like this for Infinity next.
  98.

  100. (21:13:29) +AoC: >transnational community
  101. (21:13:56) +errorname457: check your vodka, CIS scum
  102. (21:15:10) +nikka: leave cis alone
