22:16		Adam is in his lab, as is usual for him. The translucent clone tank bubbles behind him, a shadowy form barely visible in the amniotic solution that fills the tank. Today his attention is not on the clone. No today he has a jeweler's loupe over one eye, the lens of the loupe etched with a mystic circle around it's outer edge. He is engraving microscopic symbols and circles onto a facet
22:16		Adam of a small emerald set in a necklace. A few other crystals and gems litter the worktable.
22:19	Dissent	Is he expecting company? Because he might have to account for company, what with the doorbell ringing and all on the other side of the airlock. The elf looked just a little bit tired while standing next to the dining cart, her ears twitching a little as if she was lost in thought while waiting for Adam or Romero to respond.

22:24	Adam	It takes a few rings before Adam realizes that someone is at the door, so engrossed is he in his project.  He slides the jeweler's loupe up on his forehead and blinks a few times.  He is over a week into his cycle and so looks fairly worn, with grey hair at his temples and a gaunt look about him.  He glances at the security monitor and recognizes Dissent.  He clears his throat and says,

22:29	Adam	"Hello Dissent. It's a pleasure to see you, as always." Adam gives her a warm smile.  "This is a project for my class on Enchanting.  I had to come up with something that doesn't involve Necromantic or Entropic magic.  I think my last project unsettled the teacher a bit."
22:31	Dissent	"...well to be fair, that kind of thing usually does unsettle people, for obvious reasons." 22:32	Adam	"The project itself is a type of security spell.  Want to help me test it out?"
22:33	Adam	"It shouldn't hurt you in any way."
22:36	Adam	Romero carries a small table out of a storage closet and sets it down between Adam and Dissent, then covers it in a white cloth.
22:39	Dissent	"...mmmm... it's not like... going to wire my mouth shut or turn my skin blue or something, is it?" She was looking a little nervous there! "I mean it looks REALLY nice, could sell for a nice penny... but you sure it's safe?"
22:40	Adam	"As sure as I can be. It should have no visibl effect. The first test is to see if you even notice the spell."
22:40	Dissent	"...I... suppose? What do I have to do, then?" Her ears lowered a little before they rose up, she did at least start to look curious...
22:42	Adam	"I've enchanted a few pieces of jewelry with the spell.  If you take one without my permission, that should trigger the security spell.   Once again, it should be completely non-harmful, and if I did it right you won't even notice it."
22:44	Adam	"I was going to leave a few pieces out on a table in Crystal Hall and see what happened, but this is probably better."
22:44	Dissent	"...mmmm." She nodded, and she looked like she WAS about to ask if she should grab one now... but then lightly thwapped her head as if remembering. "OH, duh. Right, sorry." And like that, she'd just grab one! Taking it and holding it in her hand. "...probably a good idea. You never know what shit would happen."
22:49	Adam	"Exactly, although it it works as I hope it probably would have been amusing.   How do you feel?"
22:53	Dissent	"...I don't really feel all THAT different? I mean I guess... I dunno! I don't really feel anything. Which is GOOD I guess, mean rather good if we want to compare this to other things.
