  1. i'm a network consultant, that sometimes get tasked with sysadmin stuff. that's what happened monday.
  2. on monday i get sent out to a new customer. they are experiencing some problems with a slow/unresponsive *nix web server. upon arrival they show me the server (physical) in question. it's making funny sounds from the cdrom drive. i ask them if and why there's a cd in it. they don't know. i ask them if i can push the eject button on the server, they say yes.
  3. AAAAAAND the webserver stops responding and halts. panic ensues.
