Hi all,

I have some news to share! I'm pregnant.
17 weeks! So far so good.

As I've written previously, I've always wanted kids, figured it would happen, it didn't happen. The egg-freezing thread on this List back in April was unbelievable and really helpful and therapeutic for me, and I was planning to explore fertility treatments.

Then I got the chance to go back to summer camp, and I figured, ok I will start with the fertility stuff afterwards. Turns out there was a guy there who, like me, went back to camp as a visiting director. Somewhere between "Frozen" and "Little Shop" I got knocked up. It was really fun during the summer  but we couldn't TTTC, as the kids say ("Take it To The City"). Ah well.

So anyway, that makes me officially a single mother. I'm excited!

Also - IT'S A GIRL!! Very on-brand.

I wrote a coming-out post about it on Medium that will be going up shortly, heavily influenced by all the amazing conversations on the List about all this stuff. I have to say, I'd probably be WAY more freaked out if I didn't have this incredible community to turn to. Many of you have already been incredibly helpful. I feel very lucky & grateful.

Anyhoo, that's my news. I am excited to be "out" (and just in time too, the belly is no longer that possible to hide). I am also bizarrely excited to finally test the Facebook algorithm when I post the link, complete with "Big news!!" et al. I'm a dork).
