  1. Designer Test
  2.
  3. 1.0 Objective
  4. The objective of this test to get a better understanding of your ability to take a textual requirements document and turn it into an Information Architecture document (wire frames), and a polished mock-up.
  5.
  6. 2.0 Included files
  7. Inside the zip file you'll find the following documents:
  8. • Instructions (this document) – Contains instructions needed to complete design test.
  9. • Requirements – Textual requirements describing how the system should function.
  10. • Designs and Patterns.pdf – Contains design ideas and components used for the new UI. Use this document to grab the designs and patterns used in the new look and feel. The page you're creating is not amongst these pages, but feel free to use them as a base layout.
  11. • Converted Page.png – An example of a page already converted to the new look and feel. This is not an example of the page you'll be converting.
  12. • Image assets – Feel free to use any of these images in your designs.
  13.
  14. 3.0 Goals
  15. 1. Read and understand instructions.
  16. 2. Thoroughly read through requirements document.
  17. 3. Create Information Architecture document (informal as most is covered in requirements) which includes wire frames. Provide work flows of actions that can occur either textually or visually. Basically just create wire frames and list any assumptions you made. This can contain multiple to show any breaks in work flow such as modal dialogs (light boxes or pop-ups).
  18. 4. Create a polished deliverable that could be given to a developer to begin work. This should only be a single page.
  19.
  20. 4.0 Additional Information
  21. These documents should take you no more than a few hours. The level of detail is left up to you. This test is used to measure your creativity, so no assistance will be given by a Infor Talent Science representative. If you do not understand a concept or wording, use your best judgment and list any assumptions.
  22.
  23. Don't feel the need to overdo yourself. We are looking for a simple example; not an elaborate design document (unless you want to :D).
