  3. Major WIP so things are very much open to change.

  5. You have been placed in the world of Avatar where a minority of people can utilise their martial arts and inner energy to bend the elements. These people are called benders. A bender is limited to one of the four elements which are Earth, Fire, Water and Air.
  6. There is one person who can bend all four elements and this person is known as The Avatar. This person is also a bridge to the spirit world and must keep balance in the world.

  9. It has been 68 years since the last Avatar was found. Technology has increased to the point that electricity, radios and motor vehicles are common. A new nation has been formed that welcomes people from any of the four other nations and its capital, Republic City has become a metropolis. The new Avatar (Korra) is going to visit Republic City in two years leading to the start of the series.

  13. 1. Northern Water Tribe - A large city made of ice at the North Pole.
  14. 2. Souther Water Tribe - A small village at the South Pole, will become a city with time.
  15. 3. Ba Sing Se - The largest city in the Earth kingdom, it is surrounded by impenetrable walls.
  16. 4. Kyoshi Island - An island that is home to the all-female Kyoshi Warriors, men are not too welcome here.
  17. 5. Fire nation Capital - The capital of the Fire nation, a well off city. Not too welcoming towards people of other nations.
  18. 6. Nothern Air Temple - Left mostly deserted when the Airbenders were massacred, you may find a few people here.
  19. 7. Omashu/Republic City - Omashu is the capital of one of the Earth kingdom provinces and is found in the kolau mountains.
  20. Republic city is a growing metropolis that is accepting of people from any nation, it was found by Aang after the 100 year war.
  21. 8. Free choice. You have been given the choice of any place you know in this world.

  24. Backgrounds: All backgrounds come with memories of your life up to now except drop in.
  25. Drop in (0)-Your memories are unaffected, you have no knowledge of the world that you didn't have before. (discounts on rarest bending and some skills and items)
  26. Bender (100)-You are skilled in your chosen element but you still have much to learn. Maybe you're an earthbender farmer or a metalbending cop, you decide. (Free basic bending, discounts on generic bending)
  27. Warrior(100)- Instead of focusing on bending you instead focused on martial skills, swordsmanship and other varied weaponry. (Free combat training and weaponry, discounts on various skills and items)
  28. Merchant (100)- While others focused on bending or combat you focused on your shop and became a merchant. You know how to run a good store and have great peoples skills. (discount on few skills and many items)

  32. Basic bending costs 200.
  33. For Earth this includes moving rocks+ seeing through vibrations in the ground (seismic sense).
  34. For Water this includes bending water,ice and steam and changing its state between them.
  35. For Air this includes Air and the ability to glide.
  36. For Fire this includes the creation and bending of flames.

  38. Earth Specialities:
  39. Sand bending (200) Relatively easy to learn, this lets you bend sand and compress it into a rock-like substance.
  40. Metal bending (400) Much harder to learn, this lets you bend the earth within metals, pure metals like platinum are not affected.
  41. Lava bending (600) Discount drop in. Incredibly rare, this lets you tun rock into lava and then bend that lava. You can still be burned.

  43. Water:
  44. Healing (200) A fairly common ability, this lets you heal others wounds over time. Some wounds will be too severe to fix.
  45. Plant bending (400) A relatively rare ability that lets you bend plants through the water the contain.
  46. Blood bending (600) Discount drop in. Incredibly rare, this lets you bend the blood in another persons body. Buying this lets you use it any time but learning it naturally limits your power to full moons.

  48. Fire:
  49. Lightning bending (200) Requires concentration and a clear mind to use, lets you create and redirect lightning.
  50. Blue flames (400) A rare ability to have, your flames are much hotter and hit harder.
  51. Combustion bending (600) Discount drop in. Incredibly rare, this allows you to create explosions with your mind. Breaking concentration while using this could be lethal.

  53. Air:
  54. Redirection (200) This lets you redirect projectiles and enemies much easier. If bald you can feel the movement of the air caused by a projectile and possibly dodge it. MAYBE CHANGE TO ASTRAL PROJECTION???
  55. Air Compression (400) You can now compress air to a much higher degree than before which means your air blasts and blades can do much more damage even cutting through stone. You'll even be able to create spheres of air to ride on at ground level.
  56. Flight (600) Discount Drop in. You can now fly without the aid of anything else. This method of flight is very maneuvarable, able to turn on a dime and hover in the air. You can carry others with you if you're strong enough.

  58. Generic bending upgrades: Discount on all for Benders.
  59. Mass bending (200) While others might bend boulders or small fireballs you could bend something the size of a small house with effort.
  60. Fine bending (200) You gain much finer control over your bending allowing you to control your element down to the size of a hair.
  61. Long distance bending (300) Bending loses power over distance but for you this effect is reduced. Fire goes further, seismic sense and earthbending can be used farther away etc.

  63. OR I might just replace these with one Master Bender perk which vastly increases your bending powers in all areas. (600 discount Bender)

  65. Skills:
  66. Empty, maybe martial arts, weapon training, mercantile skills and humour? Mostly for Warrior and maybe Merchant.
  67. Chi blocking - This lets you block the chi paths in a person which temporarily paralyses limbs and blocks a persons bending ability. (400, discount warrior)
  68. Fighting experience - You are skilled in a range of weapons from swords and boomerangs to fans and kunai. (200, free warrior)
  69. Funny guy - You're a funny guy(or gal) who could make almost anybody laugh, you can think of relevant puns almost instantly. (200, discount warrior)

  71. Animal tamer - Animals take to you much easier than before, they often won't attack you unless provoked and they may even let you ride them. (200)

  73. Mercantile experience - You're a skilled merchant knowing how to run a store, sell pet rocks and you ooze charisma. (400, discount merchant)

  75. Inventive - Maybe you invented a new type of plane that runs on firebending or maybe the way you fight is new and unexpected, either way you're inventive. (400, discount warrior)

  77. Wise - You're much wiser than you look and are able to keep calm and high spirited in almost any situation. You can spout out wise advice on the spot and are often able to help others through personal issues. (400, discount drop in)

  79. Korrasami - Relationships involving you are now changed by how people perceive them, the more people that think Sarah likes you then the more she will, likewise with rumours of someone hating you. You might want to spread some rumours of your own. (300?)

  81. Gear: (600 cp worth free for Merchant)

  83. Sato industries mecha tanks - These shouldn't even be out yet! A large tank with arms coated with platinum and immune to metal bending. Very strong, very durable and includes hookshots and treads. (400)
  84. * Varrick mech upgrade - Where did you get this? Smaller than the previous mechs but with no penalty to strength, these are bipedal and can run,jump and kick stronger than any human. Includes hookshots, piston arms/legs, electricity blasts and flamethrowers. (200, mecha tank needed)

  86. Meteorite ore - With this ore you could make a weapon or maybe a piece of armour. Strong, light and looks cool. An easy metal to train metalbending with. (50)
  87. Space sword! - A weapon of your choice made out of the metal from a meteorite. (100 free Warrior)
  88. Shock glove - A gauntlet that can shock and knock out anyone you grab with it. (150)

  90. Blue spirit mask with dual swords - You seem to have found these old items in remarkably good shape, the swords will remain sharp for much longer than expected and the mask will hide your identity as long as you wear it. (200)

  92. Bending sword - A special sword handle that you can channel your bending through. Bend air or fire through to make a blade. Can hold water or earth ready to be bent out into a blade at a moments notice. (100)
  93.  
  94. Vial of spirit water - A vial of rare water from a spirit well which has amazing healing qualities. Able to heal wounds on contact and maybe even permanent scars. (150)
  95.  
  96. Air Bison - You have a friendly air bison that can fly through the air with ease and carry up to 6 people. (300)
  97. Badgermole - You have a friendly badgermole that can dig through the air with ease and carry up to 4 people (200)
  98. Fire ferret - A cute red ferret that resembles a red panda, very playful, loyal and cute. (50)

  100. Dragon egg - You have a dragon egg that will hatch within the next year. Dragons are extremely rare, almost extinct animals that can breath fire and fly easily carrying 6 people. Will take dozens of years to grow to full size. (400)

  102. Companion option - You gain a companion who can join you in future jumps, they have 400 points to spend and a background of your choice. Want a metalbending police companion? Go ahead. You can import previous companions for no added cost. (100 each up to 500 then up to 8 for no added cost)

  109. Continuity - If you have taken the other Avatar jump before this one you can choose this and have people remember you and your actions may have lasting and potentially world changing effects. (0)

  111. Cabbage Corp luck - You have horrible luck which causes plans to fail more than they should and equipment breaks more easily as if they were a cheaper brand. (100)

  113. Hotheaded-Your abstract problem solving skills and general cunning have taken a hit. You tend to jump into things without thinking about the consequences (100)

  115. Bolin'd-You're clumsy, you have an awful sense of humor and you're a terrible judge of character. You will have to work very hard to be taken seriously. On the plus side, even villains are more likely to see you as less of a threat. (100)

  117. Disability - You are either blind or can't use your legs. Can take both at your own risk. (200/400)

  119. It's a kids show! - For some reason you can't bring yourself to kill anybody, it's a kids show after all.(200)

  121. This is a kids show?? - Enemies will no longer hold back and will try and kill you in greusome ways, impaled on ice spikes, suffocated by airbenders, crushed by rocks or burned alive, fights won't be as friendly now. (200)

  123. Equalists Forever-A remnant of Amon's old organization is destined to survive his defeat and they've decided to come after you for revenge. (200)

  125. Ideological Nemesis: Someone's coming after you. They're tough, they have abilities themed around the Avatar world but contradicting preexisting convention, they're competant as hell and they have backup. Worst of all-they're /very/ charismatic. (300)

  127. What did you do? - Korra, her group and the White Lotus all hate your guts and will attack you on sight. What did you do to deserve this? (600)

  131. Notes:
  132. Firebenders can propel themselves through the air for short periods of time, blue flames will help with this.
  133. If you didn't buy the top tier bending skill such as Lava or Flight then you won't be able to learn it.
  134. If you do both Avatar jumps and pick the same element then the powers are stacked, your bending is roughly twice as powerful.
