 We asked Canucks fans to call on whether or not they approve of Vancouver's latest NHL uniform.

Well, they don't approve.

Out of a total of 313 calls, a whopping 194 callers gave the new uniforms the big thumbs down. A total of 91 callers liked the new orca-style uniform while 28 callers were so excited to reach us that they forgot to make a selection.

We also asked fans write or fax us to give their opinions about the new logo and uniform.

Here's what some of you had to say:

"The logo is nice, but I thought Canucks were lumberjacks, not whales. With a whale in the logo shouldn't the name be changed as well? Or are we now the Vancouver Canuck Killer Whales?"

"John McCaw can take his crappy logo and go back to Seattle, and while he's going he can take that washed-up GM of his, Pat Quinn."

"I was thinking that after all the hype and ability to hire quality people to get the job done right that it would be done. I was mistaken. This uniform is plain and simply lame. And for Mr. Linden to say that he had a part in the design process gives good reason to take some of his overpaid salary and give it to some clothing designer graduate because I'm sure this person could do much better."

"As a logo it looks great -- the colors are very nice. The only problem I have is that we're the Canucks, not the Killer Whales. The logo is too corporate."
