it is okay that loneliness sleeps in your rib cage
it feels warm beneath your heart and cuddles your lungs
breathing when you do so that it can take a little of the oxygen in your blood and see that it’s existence does count when it leaves you breathless
loneliness is just as sad as you are
loneliness would pour itself a scotch at 4am when the beds too big for it to sleep, it would wake up in the night because somehow it’s harder to wake during the day and because it is easy to keep you awake, up with it as its only companion
loneliness would hold your hand if its corporeal form would let it
fingers wrapped around fingers until one form extends into the other
and this would make it smile.
