It was 2010 in modern day japan and a child was celebrating her 7th birthday, when one day disaster struck and a masked man invades the house
and her parents tell Haruka to hide under the bed,
meanwhile, screams and gunshots were heard, some hours pass, Haruka is scared but leaves the safety of her bed to check the house,
she sees her parents dead and screams, shattered by the traumatic event, the poor girl calls the people that her parents told her to call when something
really bad happens, the police and some days pass, having no relative willing to take her in and her house taken by a mysterious person and Haruka is
thrown into the streets.

Some years pass now Haruka is living in the streets, away from the safety of her home she was denied the love, care and
money of her parents, who were working in one of the top labs in the city.
She struggles to survive, but she remembers the last words her parents told her before they
told her to hide: "if something bad happens, always remember to live your life to the fullest, never forget who you are", she decides that enough is
enough and decides to do what she can to live her life to the fullest extent, with drive and determination, she begins doing small jobs for little money,
just enough to buy her below-average food for her to live, her life in the streets is tough, for all these years she hasnt been loved, neither has she spoken
to a person her age which makes things tough for Haruka socially, she speaks only the absolute nessessary words to her employers and nothing else.

Some more years pass, Haruka, now grown up, with her messy, long red hair and rough looks,
sees students walking by and thinks "an education is nessessary if i want to be successful and happy", so she
applies to different schools, to no avail, but she never gives up, tries again and again, when suddenly, a person approaches her and asks her "are you
having some sort of trouble, miss?" and offers Haruka an option,
That person was, mysterious, a dead look in the persons eyes, like it put on a mask specifically for this meeting, tells Haruka "i have big
influence in the city, i can get you inside a school, i promise, but its gonna cost you...". Haruka, having no money, is annoyed by the request, frustrated she tries
to lash out but prevents herself from doing so because she understands that this is nessessary in order to achieve her goal.

The Mysterious Person asks Haruka to put on a blindfold, Haruka accepts,
 having sex for the first time with a person she doesnt want to do it with, cries in pain and frustration when penetration first happens, but thinking about how
she had to endure it for her own sake and for the sake of her dead parents, drives her on, after this ordeal with the person, she passes the night there,
the next morning, she gets accepted into a school, before she goes to school the next day, Haruka asks the mysterious figure what its name is, the mysterious
figure says, "call me Being Z".

Her first day at her school was an adventurous one, not knowing that she had to pay for a uniform, she goes into the school with her normal, dirty
clothes, her classmates look, all those eyes on her, it drives her crazy, when a teacher finds her, the teacher asks "wheres your uniform?" haruka
is then taken into the principals office is punished and is asked to bring a uniform tomorrow and that shes dismissed for the day.

Frustrated, Haruka leaves the school and goes to her temporary home that the person provided her
 and asks Being Z about her uniform, "ohh right the uniform!" the person laughs and says to haruka
"that costs money dear, are you prepared?" Haruka reluctantly understands what the mysterious figure says, "please put on this blindfold and we shall begin"
 and the deed is done again, never getting used to it, hating it with every ounce of her core, but not having another option, she endures.

The day after that, the pair go and buy the uniform, but a few students see her, the students laughed and left, Haruka goes to school and the same
students ask her in a rude manner "who was that person Haruka? Your father? Tell us!", Haruka flat out refuses in a savage manner which startles
the students and they get pissed off and throw a punch, a fight ensues, punches flying left, right and center, hair pulled and grabbed, a teacher
walking down the hallway during his break notices the fight and breaks it up, all of them go to the principals office, the principal yells "you again
haruka! you disrespected our school for the final time! You do one more bad thing and you are expelled! Go home for the day".

Haruka walks to her home upset and tries to explain to Being Z her frustrations, the person then consoles her and tells her that it will be alright, Haruka questions
how Being Z acted inside her mind, thinking that something was weird, how come Being Z never asked for anything in return?

A couple of weeks later, a girl thinks about becoming friends with Haruka, but is hesitant because of her bad reputation, but Being Z suddenly enters the school,
through his mysterious connections he learned about what happened to Haruka and storms to the principals office to reprimand the principal,
the girl, curious follows the mysterious person to the office and overhears what happened along with some mysterious thumps, the girl got scared
but now understands what was going on and regrets being hesitant, the girl approaches Haruka and the two become good friends.

What did Harukas friend see in Haruka? A passion in her eyes, like shes been through a lot and has clear goals, Harukas friend likes such passionate individuals
and having a friend that has so much in common with her is a blessing, Haruka finally found a good person she can call her friend, someone she can share
her pain with.

Harukas friend, having gone through difficult times as well, finds a good but rough friend in Haruka and the two spend a lot of time together and a
few days pass, Harukas friend decides to let Haruka into her house, telling her about a lot of things, including the super secret room that she
spends quite a lot of personal time on, its a secret from everybody, even her parents, she doesnt want them to know her secrets.

The secret room is behind a small bookcase in a small corner of the room, Harukas friend pushes the bookcase aside and together, they enter the secret room,
Haruka is shocked to find pictures everywhere of different unsolved incidents and a computer, "welcome to my real room!" Harukas friend says,
"this is where i do my research, i want to be a detective when i get older!", Haruka, surprised, talks about the different incidents in relation to the pictures on the wall,
and is surprised by how much
her friend knows about all of them, how could she do all of that on her own? Harukas friend was a lot smarter than Haruka thought, Haruka then picks up
a random picture from the wall and looks at it, this "figure looks familiar...." she thinks, before dismissing her thought and putting the picture back to where
it was, then Haruka remembers her friend telling her about how her friends brother got killed in a similar event to what happened to her parents.

Haruka leaves at night and goes to her house to sleep, she arrives at the school but her best friend is not there, surprised, she asks the class president
if she has seen her friend, the class president mentions how its unusual for Harukas friend to be missing from school because she is never tardy, is
always on time.

Worried about her friend, Haruka visits her house, but theres nobody there, no sound of her parents or her, she then remembers about how her friend
told her about the super secret room, Haruka enters the secret room and finds blood, Haruka panics but manages to collect herself, she examines the
blood, its fresh, something bad must have happened, rushing and panicking,
 Haruka leaves her friends house and rushes to her own house only to find the body of her friend,
in her bed, covered in cuts and bruises, her friends face looked drained of any happiness,
only an open mouth, with remnants of what looked like tears coming out of her eyes and her friend holds a letter saying "i see you, Haruka!"
 Haruka is shocked, petrified and cries for her dead friend, but she collects herself and buries her friend on the backyard of her house and goes to sleep.

She wakes up enraged but she decides to find the killer at all costs, even going as far as to stop going to school,
she finally had a friend, she thinks, finally had a person who cared about Haruka after all these years alone, only for her to be taken away like this.
Haruka cant stand it and thus, her quest to find the killer begins.
