- I'm having an issue across multiple, freshly-imaged win7 x86 machines. We're seeing 45% cpu usage at idle and the machine is actually counting time slower than normal. For example, if the machine is rebooted at 3:00 (time set by network) at 3:15 it might say the time is 3:05. As time goes on the difference between actual time and system time increases.
- Anything that increments by seconds is thrown off, for example the graphs in task manager increment in sync with the system time.
- Here's where it gets weird and I swear I'm not making this up, but moving the mouse cursor actually helps alleviate the issue. So if I'm watching the cpu usage graph in task manager and I move the cursor around the graph will move closer to real time.
- I've never seen anything like this in my years of IT, anyone have a clue what's going on here?
