  3. ALL SWITCH AXE STYLES
  4. - As others have mentioned, Sword mode attacks are back to their 3U setup.
  5.     o X attacks are the vertical down and vertical up swings.
  6.         ■ Now you can just spam X instead of alternating X->A->repeat!
  7.     o A attacks are now the horizontal swing and double horizontal swings.
  8.  
  9.     NOTE: As a SA noob, I think they changed the setup to make it easier to understand and pick up;
  10.     When in Sword mode, X does vertical strikes, and A does horizontal strikes that can transform into Axe.

  12. GUILD SWITCH AXE
  13. - Nothing aside from the changes mentioned above.

  15. STRIKER SWITCH AXE
  16. - Loses a few moves:
  17.     o The finisher after Axe Chops
  18.         ■ Your only options now are to do an X attack, roll, or nothing.
  19.     o Sword mode's double horizontal swings (second A attack)
  20.         ■  Replaced by the vertical down swing.

  22. AERIAL SWITCH AXE
  23. - Vertical up Axe swing can now morph into Sword with R
  24. - Loses a few moves:
  25.     o Run-in Axe thrust.
  26.     o Grounded Elemental Burst. Yep.
  27. - Several options when jumping off monster:
  28.     o From sheathed:
  29.         ■ X for Axe swing.
  30.         ■ R-X-A for Sword swing. (becomes Reload if RELOAD is showing)
  31.     o From Axe mode:
  32.         ■ X for Axe swing.
  33.         ■ R for Sword swing. (becomes Reload if RELOAD is showing)
  34.         ■ X-A for Elemental Burst (you'll start charging when you land)
  35.     o From Sword mode:
  36.         ■ Automatic rising attack when you jump off. (uses some of the meter)
  37.         ■ X for Sword swing.
  38.         ■ R for Axe swing.
  39.         ■ X-A for Elemental Burst (you'll start charging when you land)

  41. BUSHIDO SWITCH AXE
  42. - Vertical up Axe swing can now morph into Sword with R
  43. - Loses a few moves:
  44.     o The finisher after Axe Chops
  45.         ■ Your only options now are to do an X attack, roll, or nothing.
  46.     o The vertical up Sword swing (second X attack)
  47.         ■ Replaced by the single horizontal swing.
  48.     o The post-evade Sword attack
  49. - Bushido Evade is affected by the mode you come from:
  50.     o From unsheathed:
  51.         ■ X for the missing finisher from Axe Chops(!), then you can tap R to do a vertical down Sword swing.
  52.         ■ R-X-A for two quick up Sword swings, then you can tap R to do a vertical down Axe swing.
  53.     o From Axe:
  54.         ■ X is the same as from unsheathed.
  55.     o From Sword:
  56.         ■ X for the equivalent of unsheathed's R-X-A.
