  10. >What is Sdorica?
  11. Sdorica is a strategy/puzzle mobile role playing game developed and published by Raynark. You may know them for their Rhythm games like Deemo and Cytus. You control a team of three characters; one tank, one dps, and a support (Note that these roles can be a bit flexible. Simple Example: some supports can deal high dmg.). The game is mostly single player and has multi-player events. There are guilds with shared guild missions, resource gathering, and chat.
  12.
  13. Building a team is simple.
  14. Choose one character for each position/color and an advisor.
  15. Gold/Tank, Black/Dps, White/Support.
  16. The advisor character provides a bonus skill/passive for the team.
  17. If you are part of a guild you also get a guild advisor
  18. (essentially same thing as the advisor role, but now you get two of them)
  19.
  20. You get characters from playing through the story and gacha.
  21. Story obtainable characters are:
  22. Pang (Gold)
  23. Naya (Black)
  24. Tica (White)
  25. Dagger (Black)
  26. Angelia (White)
  27.
  28. You can also get one character for free by simply logging in consistently as a newcomer
  29. (need to craft her with the character minerals you get).
  30. Nolva (Black)
  31.
  32. Characters are improved through Exp which is obtaining by grinding with them or feeding them soul energy
  33. (obtained through certain missions).
  34. Characters can also be resonated (promotion) by gathering the required materials.
  35. Most start at rank N or R and can be promoted up to SSR.
  36. A few start specifically at SSR rank.
  37. Max rank characters can be further enhanced through exceed.
  38. Exceed works like resonate but instead of upping their rank they get a stat boost.
  39. Max exceed rank is currently +14.
  40. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41. >How big is the game?
  42. The game is roughly 2 GB right now.
  43. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44. >Is Sdorica P2W?
  45. Depends on what you want out of the game.
  46. Throwing money at the game can help you do slightly better at Wonderland Trials (endgame content).
  47. However the vast majority of the game can be completed using just the story characters and you get a plenty of free summons to add more to you roster. Due to how the gacha works characters generally don't have a set rarity as you can get the same character at N, R, SR, or SSR rank. Eventually you'll want to promote them all up to SSR. The game rewards having a WIDE amount of characters to chose from vs having a few OP units. That being said spending money will speed up your progress in ranking up your characters so it comes down to how much time you are willing to spend vs spending actual cash.
  48.
  49. THERE IS NO NEED TO REROLL TO ENJOY SDORICA.
  50. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51. >Okay, but why should I play?
  52. Team building has high impact on gameplay and rewards synergy. It is also flexible enough to allow for experimentation.
  53.
  54. Characters tend to have a unique feel to them, thus causing the player to change game-play strategy to use them properly.
  55. Skill kits can actually fit into the character's "story" which is neat.
  56.
  57. The battle system is surprisingly involved with most of the fun being in planning out you moves in advance to let your team function at their peak. Brute strength (i.e. random move selection) is easily punished and often sub-optimal. No auto mode as a result of this.
  58.
  59. Art style is pleasant to look at and stands out against other gachas. OST is a treat to listen too (that battle theme).
  60.
  61. Main storyline is engaging and well written; has interesting plot developments. Character story-lines are also entertaining and add more detail to the world building.
  62.
  63. No energy/stamina system. Instead, some Event quests have a straight up cap of tries per day. You can purchase extra tries.
  64. This means you can play most of the game at your leisure without feeling that you MUST only play certain content per day for fear of wasting energy.
  65.
  66. Since all characters are technically SSR there isn't really a bad one. Instead, different characters excel in different situations which is a product of their play-styles being well differentiated. In short, it's rather impossible to be significantly "gimped" due to bad rolls.
  67. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  68. >Alright I downloaded the game and its asking for a Server, what do?
  69. Crystalblue is the newest and thus has the least veterans on it.
  70. As for difference between servers the only effect would be who you are competing against for score on the Wonderland Trials.
  71. This only matters if you want to be the best of the best. Overall, server has no influence on your experience. Please note, character progression is unique to server so if you swap servers you'll start the beginning. (Kinda like a reroll in some ways)
  72. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73. >I want to resonate/exceed my characters but I lack character minerals, what do?
  74. You can get these by by playing the character mineral quests (twice per day), getting their dupes in gacha, and completing the associated character storyline quests.
  75. Make sure to actually USE the character whilst doing the mineral quests and that the quest can drop their color mineral.
  76. Want Pang character minerals? Put him on your team and do the mineral quests that drop GOLD minerals daily. Also go through his character storyline.
  77. This will be the main "gate" to improving characters.
  78. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79. >How should I gacha?
  80. You have three resources to infuse (pull) with.
  81. Green bookmarks, red bookmarks, and crystals.
  82.
  83. Green bookmarks can only be used on the Million Infuse (no SSRs).
  84. They are meant to be a way to easily expand your roster.
  85.
  86. As for red bookmark/crystals you have two options, origin infuse and the current event banner.
  87. Try to hoard the crystals for ten pulls as some banners provide guaranteed SR units on tenfolds.
  88. Ten pulls also provide benefits on the Origin Infuse.
  89. Red tickets can be used like crystals but only in groups of one or five.
  90.
  91. Origin infuse has the same pool as Million Infuse + SSR only units (known as SP).
  92. SP units are typically prized due to them being harder to get,
  93. NOT due to them being on a different level of power from normal units.
  94. Origin odds of getting an SSR is roughly 1 in 100 pulls.
  95. Each tenfold provides you with 2 Origin Stones. These can also be obtained by getting dupes of maxed out characters.
  96. They can then be turned in to craft specific units. It is recommended to ONLY use them to craft SP units.
  97. Overall, Origin summon is ok to summon on if you are new and have less then half the available SSRs in the pool.
  98.
  99. The other option is the current event rate up banner. These typically provide odds of roughly 1 in 40 pulls in obtaining a specific character on the rate up. Sometimes a character will also have a built in pity rate (odds of getting them improve with each failed pull). SP units can appear on rate ups and should be prioritized/hoarded for (note that their rates are lower; odds historically are roughly 1 in 50 for any SP character and roughly 1 in 100 for a specific SP character). However don't shy away from rolling for non SP units on a rate up if you REALLY like them. Remember, SP units are only prized in general because they are harder to get; NOT because they are superior to your normal units.
  100. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101. >I got these gold coins (curren) and blue gems (crystalline), what do?
  102. These are used in the mystery market (go to the market screen and make sure you are on the mystery tab).
  103. Crystalline should be used for getting tears (looks like fancy wine cups) as they are important items used for resonance.
  104. Another good use for crystalline is skill books these can be though of as "skins" for characters.
  105. They are more than cosmetic changes though as the the characters entire skill set changes!
  106. Curren can be used in the market to purchase resonance materials instead of grinding them out in region quests.
  107. It is also heavily used in guild facility upkeep.
  108. You can also reset the mystery shop for free once in a while if you don't like the items available.
  109. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110. >I see there are guilds, does /vg/ have one?
  111. Yes, there's a relatively new guild called Sdogen.
  112. Invite code is 38382c. Please allow one day for a response as GM can be busy sometimes.
  113. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  114. >I'm a fish out of water and have no idea on what content to focus on. Advice?
  115.
  116. Event Quests
  117. Prioritize these first as they typically have a limited amount of tries per day and provide good rewards.
  118. Also try to clear the wonderland trials to get some crystals and crystalline. Aim for the blue daily tier if possible so you can get max crystal rewards (higher tiers don't give any more).
  119.
  120. Venture Quests
  121. Second priority will be to clear the 20 training quests.
  122. These help introduce you to various game mechanics using preset teams.
  123. Once you complete all 20 quests you'll have enough materials to resonate Pang, Naya, and Tica to SR.
  124. Further venture quests (known as ability quests) can be thought of as challenge battles that you can attempt with you own team for one-time rewards. Daily missions often have you come back to these quests with added special conditions.
  125. At this point you'll want to follow the guide below on getting Tica to rank SSR.
  126.
  127. Story Quests
  128. It is suggested that your next priority be to complete Chapter 7, as it gives many useful rewards for character improvement.
  129. Story quests provide one-time rewards for completion but don't be surprised if you end up completing them just to see what
  130. happens next. The plot is quite entertaining and doesn't always play out the way you'd think.
  131.
  132. Character Quests
  133. Next you should complete character quests in order to get all of you units to at least rank R (for the newcomer mission).
  134. These are like story quests but focus on individual characters to flesh them out and add some world building.
  135. Story segments are unlocked by first obtaining the relevant character and ranking them up.
  136. These quests also contain character specific challenge battles with one-time rewards.
  137. The one-time rewards include character minerals for the associated character so be sure not to overlook these quests!
  138. You can get ten minerals total from a character's series of quests.
  139.
  140. Region Quests
  141. These quests exist mainly as a way for you to grind materials for resonance sans character minerals.
  142. The also provide some fun "gimmick" battles with one time rewards. (Like assisting a noble and his hunting dog on their outing.)
  143. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144. A Basic Overview Of Exploration
  145.
  146. >Kingdom Adventurer
  147. Selecting the Explore tab on the main menu with this option pictured will take you to a screen that has (currently) six scenarios to travel to. Each scenario will show a list of the available materials you can gather there (note that there are certain items that you can obtain that aren't displayed, think of them as little bonuses for messing with special interaction options.)
  148.
  149. The lower left corner of the screen has three facilities: Warehouse, Workshop, and Kitchen.
  150.
  151. The warehouse is simple. You use it to store items that you don't want to be carrying around in your backpack all the time.
  152.
  153. The kitchen allows you to make food/drink, provided you have the proper materials. Food/drink is used to replenish stamina/vitality (discussed below).
  154.
  155. Finally there is the workshop. Provided you have the proper materials, you can craft four different item types denoted by the four diamonds on the upper left of the crafting list (select workshop to display).
  156.
  157. (Sword Diamond) Weapons. These items when carried can give certain characters bonuses in combat.
  158. (Wrench Diamond) Tools. These items typically allow special interactions in the explorable area. Experiment and try them out!
  159. (Plank Diamond) Materials. These are intermediate items that are themselves required to craft other useful items. They are refined versions of the raw materials you gather in the scenarios.
  160. (Ellipses Diamond) Other. These items should look familiar, soul energy canisters and resonance items. In addition, you can also get Crystals and Crystalline (a limited amount of times) by turning in Crystal Ore and Mystic Stones, respectively. The colorful scrolls are specific to Balzac's Heritage.
  161.
  162. You can also level up your facilities if you have the needed materials. Leveling up the warehouse expands the amount of storage slots whilst leveling the workshop/kitchen gives you access to more things to craft.
  163.
  164. Now how about we actually start exploring.
  165. Select a scenario (it is a good idea to start at the top and gradually work you way down).
  166. It is highly recommended to go to Paradise Prairie Myths first and speak with the old man there as he provides some helpful pointers. The general mechanics of exploration areas are as follows:
  167.
  168. STAMINA (denoted by little human figure at top of screen)
  169. and
  170. VITALITY (denoted by little swirly at top of screen)
  171.
  172. Every 30 points of stamina you have grants you 5% bonus skill power in combat.
  173. Every 30 points of vitality you have grants you 5% bonus skill power in combat.
  174. So when you have over 90 points of both stamina and vitality, your skills will be functioning at 130% of their base power
  175. in combat. You can restore stamina with food and vitality with drink, both of which can be made in the kitchen. You can also restore them through certain environmental interactions. You lose stamina and vitality by completing certain actions, taking damage in battles, running into obstacles, and traveling between areas. Once either of these hit zero the exploration fails and you lose all items you had in your backpack. So obviously, keep an eye on both.
  176.
  177. THE HOME BUTTON
  178. In the upper left corner you will see a home button. Selecting it provides you with three options.
  179. Continue the current exploration (unpause)
  180. Pause the exploration (useful if you need to take a break)
  181. End the exploration (return to home base so you can use gathered materials for crafting and store unneeded ones; also resets the scenario you were in too)
  182.
  183. GENERAL GAMEPLAY
  184. The actual gameplay itself in exploration isn't too complicated. Think of it as a point and click adventure mixed with the Sdorica battle system. Interactables are often denoted by yellow sparkles (don't hesitate to tap/click on everything if you want). As you move around the scenario you will notice floating diamonds with footprints, use these to travel between areas. Also, the characters/tools you bring can open up special interactions so feel free to replay scenarios and experiment.
  185.
  186. So that's the basic overview of exploration. Now go out there, build up your facilities, craft awesome stuff, and mess around with the inhabitants. For more in depth info check out the Exploration Station pastebin in the OP.
  187. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  188. >Tica's Road to SSR Guide
  189. The game has a series of missions that makes it easy to promote Tica to rank SSR.
  190. At this rank she functions as a powerful dmg dealer with burst-heal/dmg-reduction abilities.
  191.
  192. The first step will be to complete all of the Venture Training Missions
  193. There are 20 in all to complete.
  194. Once this is done you will have enough materials to get Pang, Naya, and Tica to rank SR.
  195.
  196. However, we can take Tica even further!
  197. Check the progress tab on your missions, you should see a mission that requires you to complete region 3-5 with some sort of extra condition. Complete this mission and once you get your reward you'll see another mission requesting that you complete region 3-5 (again) with different conditions. Continue this cycle until there are no more region 3-5 missions. At this time you should have enough character minerals to resonate Tica to rank SSR. Congratulations! (If you lack the Tear of the Ancient Dragon needed for resonating Tica to SSR, you can complete Story Chapter 7 to get one as a reward amongst other useful materials.)
  198. Note: you might need to refresh the mission list to see the next region 3-5 mission after accepting rewards of the previous one.
  199. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  200. >F2P Overview of Crystal Sources
  201. Wonderland Trial Daily Blue Rank gives 20 (higher ranks give no more)
  202. Wonderland Trial Weekly Green Rank give 3 Red Bookmarks (150 crystal equivalent). Higher ranks give more (up to 5 total).
  203. Daily Login gives 10
  204. Level 6 Guild can make 50 weekly
  205. Guild Medals can provide up to 126 crystals per week
  206. Weekly Chest Mission provides 50
  207. Balzac Runs provide up to 72 per week
  208.
  209. So, if you are guildless you can earn up to
  210. 20x6 + 150 + 10x7 + 50 + 72 = 462 crystals per week
  211.
  212. If in a guild you can earn up to 50 + 126 = 176 more weekly crystals
  213. Thus a F2P player using all available avenues can earn up to 462 + 176 = 638 weekly crystals
  214. That's over 12 free rolls per week not including better WT ranks and event rewards.
