- Unknown date: Fredbear's Family Diner begins operating. It purchases the Old Animatronics to entertain guests.
- Unknown date: Diner is bought and re-enfranchised as "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza". it is closed for remodeling, then reopened. Grand Re-opening advertisement is placed in the local newspaper. Help is wanted.
- June, 1980's: A guard begins working the night shift. he complains about "conditions" and is moved to the day shift.

- June 23rd, 1980's: Jeremy Fitzgerald begins working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza as a summer job. He's a natural and gets through his first night no problem. The Phone Guy starts recording his messages during the day to be played on Jeremy's machine during the night. Upon completion of the first night the player is shown a cutscene. The deactivated Freddy is booting up.
- ///
- June 24th, 1980's: Jeremy's second night passes eventfully. Phone Guy tells Jeremy that the animatronics from the Fredbear diner have been stripped for parts and stored in the back room. Corporate planned to refurbish them and began refitting them with the newer technology "but they were just so ugly, you know?". Phone Guy says the old models shouldn't be able to walk around. Phone Guy is as reliable as a chocolate firefighter. The player is treated to a cutscene of both Bonnie and Chica booting up and looking right into the camera. It's me.
- ///
- June 25th, 1980's: Jeremy works his way through his third night. Phone Guy informs Jeremy that Foxy is his favorite and tells the player about the Mangle. His replacement was picked apart by toddlers in very short order and turned into an endo-monstrosity. They keep it chained up in Kid's Cove like the deformed guy from The Goonies.
- Phone Guy tells Jeremy to disregard any "rumors" he's heard lately; "whatever is going on out there, and however tragic it may be, has nothing to do with our establishment." Besides, the day shift has reported nothing on usual and he watches from opening till close.
- On completing Night 3 the player gets another cutscene. Bonnie and Chica are standing close to the camera and glaring angrily at it. Their black sockets stare at nothing. The view returns to normal and Golden Freddy is there, right before them, right before you. It's me.
- ///
- June 26th, 1980's: Jeremy starts getting stressed. The animatronics are getting more and more aggressive and there is no logical explanation for their behaviour. Phone Guy congratulates Jeremy but gives him some sobering news - an "investigation" has been launched. They may have to close for a few days.
- Of course Fazbear Entertainment denies any involvement. He cautions Jeremy to avoid eye contact with the new animatronics - someone must have tampered with the facial recognition systems or something, because they're acting "very unusual, almost aggressive towards staff." He mentions that they're fine with the kids, but they stare blankly when confronted with a grown adult.
- Another cutscene: Freddy boots up and looks around. Suddenly The Puppet is hovering in front of the camera, always turning to face the turns of the artifical head. Its face is constantly in view.
- ///
- June 27th, 1980's: Jeremy completes his fifth night. Phone Guy tells him to keep a close eye on things tonight becuase the building is on lockdown; nobody in or out. Especially any previous employees. The day guard's position just became available and he may be moved. They're working on locating a replacement for his shift and trying to contact the original restraunt owner, Fredbear's Family Diner, but it's been closed for years.
- Upon completion of this night the main game is beaten. Your reward is a paycheck for $120.
- There is, however, one final night to complete.

- "Hello? Hello...uh... what on earth are you doing there? Didn';t you get the memo? The place is closed down, at least for a while. Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, the one used in... now none of them are acting right. Listen, just finish your shift, it's safer than trying to leave in the middle of the night. We have one more event scheduled for tomorrow, a birthday. You'll be on day shift. Wear your uniform, stay close to the animatronics, make sure they don't hurt anyone, okay? Uh, for now just make it through the night... uh, when the place eventually opens again I'll probably take the night shift myself. Okay, good night and good luck."

- Detectives had been putting the pieces together since Wednsday and they had no locations of significance aside from the Pizzeria. Jeremy Fitzgerald had been working since Monday but the children had been declared missing the next morning by their parents. They were too young to be runaways. All of the missing kids had one thing in common: they had all been to Freddy's the day before they vanished from their beds.
- That's where the investigation took them and after that it was child's play to get the security footage. The day guard worked from dawn till dusk. He can be clearly seen multiple times in a golden Freddy suit when he was supposed to be watching the cameras.
- In every recording he's talking to a missing child.
- So of course he was arrested in very short order. The interrogation yielded nothing. He had no alibi and from every angle it looked like he was guilty. The only thing going for him was that he didn't confess. The case quickly went to court and he was charged with the murders.
- He likely would have been convicted if it hadn't been for what happened that Saturday.
- During a birthday celebration on June 28th, five children went to see the Pirate Cove. The then-pristine Foxy wheeled out and did his act three times; the final time he parted through the curtains there was a man standing at the back of the room.
- It was Jeremy Fitzgerald, smart purple uniform and [SECURITY] badge shining on his lapel, and he was smiling.
- Only twenty minutes before, the lead investigator had found a break in the case. Lab results had come back on the golden Freddy suit that the day guard had supposedly used. The infancy of DNA profiling meant that no evidence could be collected from the hair that was found on the inside of the collar but it was of a different colour than that of the suspect. Furthermore the finger and palm prints on the detached head did not at all align with the day watchman's prints but were rather a perfect match for Jeremy. Jeremy who also always had access to the back room where the old, empty suits were kept along with the untouched golden endoskeleton. Jeremy who was the only soul alive in that old building after dark and was left in charge of maintaining a lockdown. Jeremy whose shift timing would ensure only he and nobody else bore witness to what happened after everybody else left. Jeremy who reclined in his chair a little bit when he heard that the day guard was going to court.
- Over the past six days, from Monday to Friday, Jeremy Fitzgerald had dressed in a gold Freddy Fazbear suit and coerced five children to return to the Pizzera after dark.
- He murdered them in the back room and stuffed their corpses into the empty suits.
- When the police arrived to take Jeremy in for questioning they found people screaming, running from him lying on the floor in a slowly spreading pool of blood. An animatronic fox was standing beside him with chunks of hair, flesh and gray matter lodged in its jaw.
- November 7th, 1993: Mike Schmidt is hired as the night watchman for Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.
- November 14th, 1993: Mike Schmidt is fired from his job at the Pizzeria due to "tampering with the animatronics, general unprofessionalism, odor".
