  1. Riley: Wouldn't be fair for all the girls to buy princesses, and all the boys to buy superheroes.
  2. Dad: Well, why?
  3. Riley: 'Cus the girls want super heroes, and the boys want super heroes, and the girls want pink stuff, and the girls.. and the boys want.. and the boys don't want pink stuff.
  4. Dad: *Very quiet* yes they do
  5. Riley: Yeah.
  6. Dad: Boys, well, boys want both, but why do you think they do that?
  7. Riley: Cus.. uh cus they companies who make these try to trick the girls into buying the pink stuff instead of stuff that boys want to buy, right?
  8. Right, but but, you can buy either right. And boys can buy either, if boys want to buy pink they can buy pink right?
  9. Riley: Yeah! So then why do all the girls have to buy princesses? Some girls like superheroes, some girls like princesses..
  10. Dad: *agrees* yeah
  11. Riley: Some boys like superheroes, some gir.. some boys like princesses.
  12. Dad: Absolutely.
  13. Riley: Well then why does all the girls have to buy pink stuff and all the boys have to buy different colored stuff?
  14. Dad: That's a good question Riley.
